Ocean Dental Cancún - U.S Board Certified Dentist

(805) 465-6061 Blvd Kukulcan KM 12.7 Zona hotelera, Cancun, 77500
Rating from 115 Reviews The treatment is of excellent valueAshlee, US, 22 Dec 16

So the treatment went really well. I received a crown over an existing root canal and I also got my lower wisdom teeth extracted. They do good work. The crown is fitting in nicely and after about of week my mouth after extraction is doing well. The treatment is of excellent value. So here is my story I had a root canal done, but my Dentist in the states refused to put a crown on the tooth because my upper wisdom tooth was pushing up against it. He told me I had to have it removed. I figured I'd get all of them removed but it was too expensive in the states so I went to Mexico. The dentist here was willing to put a crown on the tooth without removing my upper wisdom tooth. he reasoned and I agreed that that tooth may never come out and taking it out required cutting into the gum which would be risky. With that I got my lower wisdom out and the left my upper two. After a week I am feeling fine, my swelling has gone down and my crown fits perfectly. I did not receive anesthesia for my extractions because I just didn't want to be put to sleep. Having your wisdom teeth removed while awake and under nova cane is not comfortable but it was bearable and honestly not so bad. I appreciated the recommendations of the dentists and I feel I made the correct decisions. It's a great affordable place to get dental work. I also got my little brother some fillings for less money than if we were in the states with insurance. The experience was good. I am flight attendant so it's very easy for me to fly to another country in this case to have dental work done. The clinic is glamorous to say the least. Imagine a dentists office in a telenovela. The staff is very attractive and engaging and they all speak English. This clinic is very busy though and probably because it's caught on how affordable and good it is. My appointments were at night but that's because that's how busy it is and the staff is there all day working hard. The place is clean with shiny white appliances, mood lighting, music, and artsy design elements. If you're from the states is ten times better than any dentist office you've been to. Don't be nervous they've got it together if you have an appointment you have what you need. Give it a try.

Evolution Implant Center

Calle Segunda e Internacional L-6, Plaza Rio Colorado, Los Algodones, 21970
Rating from 4 Reviews Many people I know will be going there next year because of my testimonyDirk, US, 14 Oct 16

Dirk Jul 26, 2016 troutdale, usa  After the dentist in Portland told me $20,000 to fix just the bottom teeth, I looked into Los Algodones dental clinics. I met Eduardo and Itzel who were wonderful. I was thinking of all on four dentures and Eduardo insisted that was wrong for me. I took his advise, getting 2 implants and 13 porcelain crowns and am going back for crowns on the implants. I am grateful for the advise, and for Eduardo's and Itzel's expertise, caring, and great work. My teeth look and feel new and smooth and my front teeth are not crossed anymore. If eating matters to you like it did to me you should change your life for the better and come here. After having implants five months prior, I returned to Evolution Dental. Eduardo made sure I felt safe and no pain as he rechecked my teeth, then installed the crowns on my implants. I also had him do extra work on my uppers by installing a post and another crown. I can't be happier knowing I would not be able to afford this kind of work in the U.S even with dental coverage. I believe that I also received a better job here and was taken care of with professionalism, and expertise. You can't go wrong even with staying here for 2 nights at the hotel and eating in town. I was able to use my flexible spending account from work because Eduardo itemized all the work so I got paid back and he took my personal check. Many people I know will be going there next year because of my testimony and seeing for themselves what a great job they did.

Dental Office Puerto Vallarta

Plaza Marina Suite G24 and G25, Marina Vallarta, Puerto Vallarta, 48335
Rating from 28 Reviews I have not had any issues and don't expect I willMrs_Charlene, Canada, 03 Apr 18

I had major dental work done on several occasions in Canada at a cost of well over 50K. Each time the work failed, so I found myself back at a periodontist now having to resort to dental implants. I had one done at a cost of 6K and so far, all is well. I knew it was inevitable that I would need several more implants. I was sharing my story with a friend, she told me that she and her husband had been having their dental work done in Mexico for years due to the quality and at a fraction of what it costs in Canada. My first reaction was "are you kidding me"! My husband and I then did a bit of research online, reading various reviews and testimonies of others from Canada and the US that had work done in Mexico. We did not see one negative comment. We soon discovered other friends and friends of friends also had their work done in Mexico. They were very pleased with the outcome and the cost. We wanted to have the work done in Puerto Vallarta, as we generally travel there once a year for vacation. We called a couple clinics and chose the one we did because they were prompt to contact us. The office Manager spoke very good English so language was not a barrier. My treatment is ongoing but on my first trip (with treatment over three days) I had 10 implants, 6 extractions and 6 root canals. The cost of 10 implants alone in Canada would have been 60K. We chose Dr Leticia Armas Tejeda's clinic located at Plaza Marina because of the quick response to our inquiry and the fact that Jose, the Office Manager, spoke very good English. We communicated via text and email without any difficulty. I was picked up at the Hotel by Jose and taken to the clinic where I met Dr Leticia who is lovely. A major plus for this clinic is Dr Karen. She too speaks amazing English and was so very helpful and caring. You can imagine how nervous I was but she was with me through each treatment explaining what was going on. They have a team of specialists doing each procedure. She even went as far as to go to the pharmacy with us, to make sure we got what we needed because we only speak Poquito Spanish. I will return on the 31st of October 2018, to have the crowns and bridges completed. Dr Karen keeps in touch getting updates on how I am doing. I have not had any issues and don't expect I will.

Cosmetic Dentist in Nuevo Progreso Dental Artistry

(866) 260-4253 Benito Juarez 217, Nuevo Progreso, 88810
Rating from 37 Reviews Better than I can describeJohn, US, 29 Nov 16

Dr. Rene reconstructed 19 of my teeth and they function perfectly and wife says they look great. As part of the process his staff performed 14 root canals in one day. Following root canals titanium posts were placed in the canal to support the new teeth. This technology is far better than all of those proposed by various dentists in the United States and the price is about 60 percent less. I can honestly say that I will not voluntarily go to another dentist voluntarily. Dental Artistry is not the cheapest office in Neuvo Progresso but I cannot imagine a better one. They are my dentist for life. Do not be concerned. It is somewhat sad that Mexico leads the US in dental technology. Better than I can describe.

Temporary Crown $30 - $50
A temporary crown is a provisional, short term restoration used in dentistry. Usually the temporary crown is constructed from a chemical-cure composite, although alternative systems using aluminium crown forms are occasionally used by practitioners. The temporary material is shaped by the dentist to form a tooth shape that protects the prepared tooth, prevents damage to the periodontal tissues (gums) and disguises the prepared tooth to a degree until the final, definitive restoration can be made by a dental technician.A temporary crown will usually be cemented in place with a soft temporary dental cement, such as Temp-Bond NE. This allows easy removal when fitting the definitve restoration. If a temporary crown becomes decemented, it is important that a dentist examine the patient as overeruption of the opposing teeth may prevent accurate fitting of the final crown.
Dental Crowns $150 - $400
A dental crown is a cap-like restoration used to cover a damaged tooth. Crowns can give support to misshapen or badly broken teeth and permanently replace missing teeth to complete a smile or improve a bite pattern. They may be molded from metal, ceramic, plastics, or combinations of all three. They are cemented in place and coated to make them more natural looking. Historically, a variety of materials have been used as tooth replacements. The ancient Egyptians used animal teeth and pieces of bone as primitive replacement materials. More recently, artificial teeth have been fabricated from substances such as ivory, porcelain, and even platinum. With modern technology, high quality tooth replacements can be made from synthetic plastic resins, ceramic composites, and lightweight metal alloys.
Permanent Crown $150 - $450
Permanent crowns can be made from all metal, porcelain-fused-to-metal, all resin, or all ceramic.Metals used in crowns include gold alloy, other alloys (for example, palladium) or a base-metal alloy (for example, nickel or chromium). Compared with other crown types, less tooth structure needs to be removed with metal crowns, and tooth wear to opposing teeth is kept to a minimum. Metal crowns withstand biting and chewing forces well and probably last the longest in terms of wear down. Also, metal crowns rarely chip or break. The metallic color is the main drawback. Metal crowns are a good choice for out-of-sight molars.Porcelain-fused-to-metal dental crowns can be color matched to your adjacent teeth (unlike the metallic crowns). However, more wearing to the opposing teeth occurs with this crown type compared with metal or resin crowns. The crowns porcelain portion can also chip or break off. Next to all-ceramic crowns, porcelain-fused-to-metal crowns look most like normal teeth. However, sometimes the metal underlying the crowns porcelain can show through as a dark line, especially at the gum line and even more so if your gums recede. These crowns can be a good choice for front or back teeth.All-resin dental crowns are less expensive than other crown types. However, they wear down over time and are more prone to fractures than porcelain-fused-to-metal crowns.All-ceramic or all-porcelain dental crowns provide the best natural color match than any other crown type and may be more suitable for people with metal allergies. However, they are not as strong as porcelain-fused-to-metal crowns and they wear down opposing teeth a little more than metal or resin crowns. All-ceramic crowns are a good choice for front teeth.Temporary versus permanent. Temporary crowns can be made in your dentists office whereas permanent crowns are made in a dental laboratory.

I have had 2 appointments with Dr Diana. First to whiten my teeth. I've had several other dentists in the US that said my teeth could not be whitened because I had too many pocelain fillings. She was successful in whitening them! 2nd appointment to was for 3 porcelain fillings. Very impressed with her work; I will return to her for any further dental work. Wonderful! I would not go to anyone else!

Rating from 20 Reviews Very confident at what he doesJohn, phoenix, 27 Jan 16

4 implants done, one bridge, cleaning for me. My husband had two implants done, teeth whitening, few cavities and our four kids had all their cavities done and some teeth pulled out. So, we had a lot of dental work done in this office. Ggreat service! I had 4 implants done! Implant specialist Dr Arturo Franco is very confident at what he does, which makes me less scared. Extremely fast too, it took him about 20 minutes to finish two implants. I had little bit of pain one day after surgery, next day i was fine. I am very happy..
