Ocean Dental Cancún - U.S Board Certified Dentist

(805) 465-6061 Blvd Kukulcan KM 12.7 Zona hotelera, Cancun, 77500
Rating from 115 Reviews Experience was excellentRobert, US, 06 Mar 17

After sending an x-ray of my teeth and some photos to a few dentists, ODC presented a plan that fit within my budget. Dr Carolina worked on my teeth, with fillings and two three tooth zirconium bridges across the front. She is an excellent craftsman. I felt no pain, enjoyed the beautifully decorated facility, and the very happy and kind workers there. I'm bragging about it to my friends, and am looking forward to going back in August so they can fit the bridge on my implants. Experience was excellent, professional, but personal. The clinic is beautifully decorated. The service was exceptional.

Peña Reyna Dental Care

(805) 669-9391 221 Calle Coahuila, Nuevo Progreso, Tamps., Mexico, Rincones de Mexico/Left side/by Gazebo passing mexican customs, Nuevo Progreso, 88810
Rating from 3 Reviews I just can't put a price on the worth of the workGloria, US, 10 Sep 18

Like most, I was looking for affordable dental work. I needed extensive work done, but even with insurance, I knew that it was going to be to expensive. I heard about affordable work being done in Progresso, Mexico so I researched it. I filled out a request and had lots of clinics reaching out to me, but only two called me. The first was not Pena Reyna. It was actually another dentists who quoted me about 700 bucks to have two bridges done and some crowns. I spoke with him and even made an appointment, but then Irma from Pena Reyna reached out to me by phone. She spoke English really well since she is actually from San Antonio furthermore she sent me pictures of before and afters and a picture of some crowns they had just made a client. After speaking to her, her husband called (owner of the clinic) and explained that he could not give me an estimate because he wasn't sure how much actual work I was going to need. He said I needed an x-ray or recent dental records to know for sure, but assured me his prices were fair. So I decided to go there first, they did an x-ray, found out what I needed, gave me a price and explained everything in detail. The price was way more than I planned to spend, 5k to be exact, but I needed so much work and I knew that. I ended up having about 6 root canals, two bridges, an extraction, about 10 porcelain crowns and removal of silver filling which were replaced with white resin. In all reality, it was still so much cheaper than I would have payed anywhere in the U.S. and I just can't put a price on the worth of the work. The staff was nothing short of amazing. Irma met me in town, I followed her to the parking lot just outside of the border, and she walked in with me. She told me what to bring in advance, so I was prepared. The entire staff worked together like none ever. Because my visit was so short and I had lots of infection (hence the root canals), they gave me injections of antibiotics over the course of the few days I was there and even gave me some to take with me. I'm a nurse, so it's okay. They checked up on me daily to make sure I got to my hotel safe, even to make sure I got home safe and that I was feeling okay. I mentioned that I still had pain on my left side of the face and they quickly sent me more medication. I think they came in about 2 days. I can go on and on, but I think I have gotten my message across. The location is easy to get to, the staff was amazing, the price was affordable and so worth it! If your thinking of getting work done, be careful who you go with, it's true that you get what you pay for and I'm glad I didn't have to find that out the hard way. Good luck all! Excellent overall service!

Dental Office Puerto Vallarta

Plaza Marina Suite G24 and G25, Marina Vallarta, Puerto Vallarta, 48335
Rating from 28 Reviews The whole experience was excellent. The facilities were first classSylvia, Maple Ridge, 21 Jun 18

After visiting local Canadian dentists and getting estimates ranging from $12,000 to $18,000 to replace and/or repair seven front teeth, I investigated Mexican dentists. I contacted three offices in Puerto Vallarta. After several emails and a phone call, I chose Dental Office Puerto Vallarta Dental Office. After meeting with Dr. Danya and discussing treatment options we proceeded with extracting one tooth and prepping the other six for crowns. This took about four hours and I was then fitted for a temporary seven tooth set of crowns. The permanent crowns were ordered and delivered in five days. I went back and had the permanent ones put in. They are beautiful. I now have a movie star smile! The whole experience was excellent. The facilities were first class, everyone spoke English and Dr. Danya did an excellent job. The cost was about 25% of the Canadian price and I could pay in Canadian dollars, not the U.S.

Permanent Crown $150 - $450
Permanent crowns can be made from all metal, porcelain-fused-to-metal, all resin, or all ceramic.Metals used in crowns include gold alloy, other alloys (for example, palladium) or a base-metal alloy (for example, nickel or chromium). Compared with other crown types, less tooth structure needs to be removed with metal crowns, and tooth wear to opposing teeth is kept to a minimum. Metal crowns withstand biting and chewing forces well and probably last the longest in terms of wear down. Also, metal crowns rarely chip or break. The metallic color is the main drawback. Metal crowns are a good choice for out-of-sight molars.Porcelain-fused-to-metal dental crowns can be color matched to your adjacent teeth (unlike the metallic crowns). However, more wearing to the opposing teeth occurs with this crown type compared with metal or resin crowns. The crowns porcelain portion can also chip or break off. Next to all-ceramic crowns, porcelain-fused-to-metal crowns look most like normal teeth. However, sometimes the metal underlying the crowns porcelain can show through as a dark line, especially at the gum line and even more so if your gums recede. These crowns can be a good choice for front or back teeth.All-resin dental crowns are less expensive than other crown types. However, they wear down over time and are more prone to fractures than porcelain-fused-to-metal crowns.All-ceramic or all-porcelain dental crowns provide the best natural color match than any other crown type and may be more suitable for people with metal allergies. However, they are not as strong as porcelain-fused-to-metal crowns and they wear down opposing teeth a little more than metal or resin crowns. All-ceramic crowns are a good choice for front teeth.Temporary versus permanent. Temporary crowns can be made in your dentists office whereas permanent crowns are made in a dental laboratory.
Dental Crowns $150 - $400
A dental crown is a cap-like restoration used to cover a damaged tooth. Crowns can give support to misshapen or badly broken teeth and permanently replace missing teeth to complete a smile or improve a bite pattern. They may be molded from metal, ceramic, plastics, or combinations of all three. They are cemented in place and coated to make them more natural looking. Historically, a variety of materials have been used as tooth replacements. The ancient Egyptians used animal teeth and pieces of bone as primitive replacement materials. More recently, artificial teeth have been fabricated from substances such as ivory, porcelain, and even platinum. With modern technology, high quality tooth replacements can be made from synthetic plastic resins, ceramic composites, and lightweight metal alloys.
Temporary Crown $30 - $50
A temporary crown is a provisional, short term restoration used in dentistry. Usually the temporary crown is constructed from a chemical-cure composite, although alternative systems using aluminium crown forms are occasionally used by practitioners. The temporary material is shaped by the dentist to form a tooth shape that protects the prepared tooth, prevents damage to the periodontal tissues (gums) and disguises the prepared tooth to a degree until the final, definitive restoration can be made by a dental technician.A temporary crown will usually be cemented in place with a soft temporary dental cement, such as Temp-Bond NE. This allows easy removal when fitting the definitve restoration. If a temporary crown becomes decemented, it is important that a dentist examine the patient as overeruption of the opposing teeth may prevent accurate fitting of the final crown.

Dra.Sonia M. Edeza Morales

Suite 1 233 A Avenue, 3rd and 4th street, Los Algodones, 21970
Rating from 20 Reviews None of my time there was wastedHarold, payson Arizona, 06 Jan 16

My treatment by Dra. Sonia Morales and her staff was excellent. I went into her office early November 2015 with severe dental problems requiring immediate attention which they responded kindly to. I was on time for my first appointment and was taken in almost immediately for my free consultation with Dra. Morales. Once I chose one of the treatment plans given me, Dra. Susana Romero went right to work. Soon Root Canal Specialist Dr. Julio arrived and by the end of the first day he had relieved the severe pain I was having caused by 4 exposed nerves via 4 root canals. After the first two 1 hr root canals Dr. Julio asked me how i was doing and if that was enough for the day. I told him I wanted to continue if he was willing. So he did 2 more. I fell asleep during the last one as I was tired from driving all the way to Algodones earlier that day. The only pain I felt during the procedures was from the numbing injections which were nothing compared to the tooth pain I had. Years ago I went to a US dentist requiring a single root canal. He said he was not prepared to do that procedure that day. I asked him to just pull the tooth because I was in so much pain, thus losing the tooth. That would never have happened in Algodones. I also think being a root canal specialist serving many Algodones Dentists Dr. Julio probably does more root canals in a week than some US dentists do in a year. I spent two more consecutive days in Dra. Morales' Office. None of my time there was wasted. Something was always being done to accomplish my final dental restoration. In 3 days I received a total of 9 root canals and 5 extractions. Originally it was expected I would need 6 root canals and 8 extractions, but Dr. Julio was able to save 3 extractions with root canals. I cannot imagine how long all this work would have taken in the US. Months, at least. I returned a week later and got 11 crowns. I opted for pure Porcelain crowns because they looked the best and contained no metal. I was getting so many crowns Dra. Morales gave me Zirconia for the price of Porcelain, a double discount. At this time I also received two titanium implants, at old extraction sites, from an Implant Specialist whose name escapes me. The implants were a breeze, and I had only a little soreness which went away in a couple days. No infection, no problems. I will now return to Dra. Morales office in February 2016 to receive my remaining 5 implants at the 5 extraction sites. Six months later I will return again to get the implant abutments and crowns. I'm looking forward to returning to Algodones to continue my dental restoration. So far, my dental pain is all gone and the crowns received so far look great. My Thanks goes out to Dra. Morales and her staff for their diligent effort. I also apologize for taking so much time in submitting my positive review which they deserve. Thank-you, I chose this clinic from internet reviews, plus I wanted a female dentist because I think women have better manual dexterity. Dra. Morales also has a very bright sunlit office. A very clean relaxing atmosphere.

IGNACIO ZARAGOZA 935, COLONIA CENTRO, SAN JOSE DEL CABO, 23400
Rating from 1 Review One of the best dental experiences of my lifeIan, US, 11 Aug 16

I was on holiday and found an unbeatable rate to get my cavities filled while staying near the clinic. Doctora Sandra was highly skilled and very friendly. She made me feel relaxed while doing the work. The process was painless as she provided the right combination of gentleness and strength. I am so grateful for the relief her work provided. I was so satisfied I ended up going back a few days later for a root canal and crown after the positive experience I had with her working on the cavities. One of the best dental experiences of my life, and it cost me a fraction of what I would be charged in the U.S. Comfortable environment, friendly staff, low prices, great work!
