Rating from 17 Reviews Friendly staff, experienced dentists, and low costJack, US, 16 Mar 18

I had a 40-year-old bridge that was loose and painful due to an infection. Liberty did a root canal and removed the old bridge on Monday, gave me a temp and put in the new bridge on Wednesday. Friendly staff, experienced dentists, and low cost ($908) made it a totally pleasant experience. They even reimbursed me for parking and taxis. Highly recommend Liberty.

Ocean Dental Cancún - U.S Board Certified Dentist

(805) 465-6061 Blvd Kukulcan KM 12.7 Zona hotelera, Cancun, 77500
Rating from 115 Reviews very pleased and impressed by my experienceJudy, Canada, 12 Mar 17

I had booked an oral evaluation at Ocean Dental while my husband and I were vacationing in Mexico, ending up in Cancun. I had been communicating with Carlos who was always prompt to reply and gave clear and detailed responses to my inquiries. We even chatted a couple of time on the phone on a toll free number. I knew I had six front teeth with composite veneers in the front that were starting to break down. This was complicated by white fillings in the back of most of them. Back home I had been told that the best procedure would be to crown all the teeth at a cost of about $1500/tooth. I have a dental plan but even though it's the "enhanced" plan - covers only $2000/ Year for crowns. The clinic send a van to pick me up at my hotel ( which is routine). My appt. was for 9:30am and the van arrived just after 9:00am with one passenger . We stopped to pick up two more people who came by ferry from Isla Muejeres where they were staying. Both parties were extremely happy with the work done and especially the cost ( one from Alberta and one from Wisconsin).By the time I got to the clinic , registered, and waited a bit for my name to be called it was probably about 10:30am. You should be prepared for waiting somewhat as it's a busy clinic and the waiting room was quite full. Despite having to wait ( some people seemed put out by it - unfortunately - this is Mexico, not the U.S. Or Canada) there was never any trace of anxiety or rushing - everyone in the clinic was relaxed and friendly. A client had brought a big bag of chocolates and patients and staff were helping themselves, laughing and joking. I was called and taken to be ex-rayed by a young man who's name I can't recall and when I asked questions he got someone else to come to answer them as his English wasn't too good. I had some 360 degree ex-rays done then went to see a young woman who did a thorough oral exam with photos and a couple more close-up exrays. She spoke English quite well and was very approachable and explained what she saw or answered questions. I felt like I was in good hands. Finally " Dr. Irma" came in and after consulting with the girl said she agreed that six crowns should be put in the front and two on the bottom pre- molars. She was also very easy to talk to and caring. I then went to see Maggie who wrote up the estimate - very thorough and knowledgeable as well as offering suggestions when I asked about a Beach to go to. The van dropped us off there instead of taking us back to where we were staying. In all the examination took over an hour and I paid $60 U. S. For it which will be deducted from the cost when the work is completed. The estimate for the eight crowns came to about $3700 Canadian and I was told to set aside a week for the work to be done ( it's better to have more time on the end in case some adjustments or "hotspots" need to be addressed). Maggie made the estimate good for a year and molds were taken of the teeth before I left. I was Very, very pleased and impressed by my experience and any nervousness I had was calmed by listening to others' experiences and seeing the clinic in action ( state of the art equipment). Why not get dental work done and save bundles while taking a vacation in Mexico?

Dr. Alejandro Benitez Dental Clinic

227 Avenida Benito Juarez, Nuevo Progreso, 88810
Rating from 84 Reviews It has been just a week today and I am still on cloud nineSara, US, 13 Jan 17

I had a deep cleaning and had to have 6 teeth removed. I had expected that I would need dentures on the top but to my relief I only needed a bridge on top and bottom. I was not for one moment doubtful about the dental work. Most of the teeth removed were on top. They made a temporary plate for me to wear, they told me they were not going to let me leave without teeth. I was certainly Happy about that. My teeth had been hurting for so long I never expected sudden relief but that is exactly what happened. My two permanent bridges were ready and match my permanent teeth so well. Best dentist I have ever ever been to. I had such a great experience here. I would highly recommend this clinic to anybody! The dentist and his assistants are experienced and very helpful and gladly answer any questions. I have a very special thank you to Abby and Ana. Absolutely loved them. And Dr. Benitez was outstanding. He told me if I was his mother this is what he would do for her. So he did and I am so grateful. It was a painless procedure. Normal soreness from the removal was expected. No bleeding and I had no pain afterward. Now I am home, have a mouth full of wonderful teeth which I had not had in several years. I can actually smile again without holding my hand over my mouth. It has been just a week today and I am still on cloud nine. Thank you all from the bottom of my heart. I do not like to discuss the cost of anything but will tell you no one in the states could come close to his price or his work. The clinic is state of the art. Very very clean.

Circle Dental Group - Los Algodones

Rating from 113 Reviews I had the benefit of the gentlest hands ever to put a tool into my mouthMichael, US, 08 Oct 17

There are those who say the world will be healed one smile at a time and Dr. Jimenez’s team at Circle Dental has taken this idea to its’ literal extreme. Having been through the mill known as American Dentistry, I showed up with no molars in my lower jaw and a failing bridge where my front teeth used to be. I was looking at at least two years and a year’s income to patch, not repair the damage here in California. Tony Alfino was the first person to attend to me via call and email. He was very helpful and attentive to my needs. In less than an hour, the Circle Dental staff and I worked out a treatment plan for about a quarter of what my treatment would have cost in the states. Then Dr. Mario got to work on completely restoring my mouth and forever ending the cascading failures that brought me to their doorstep. Let me say Dr. Mario’s hands are a gift. I spent the entire day in his chair and I won’t try to tell you it was pleasant, but we got through it and I had the benefit of the gentlest hands ever to put a tool into my mouth. When he was done Dr. Jorge installed the posts for my new molars. That was Monday; on Wednesday morning my crowns and bridge were back from the lab and I made my 4:00 plane. Returning four months later was more akin to coming to an old friend home than the dentist office. Round two was as seamless as the first but without so much as a single shot. Installing the bridges was a lot easier than the prep work and I couldn’t be happier with the results. I’ll miss those good-hearted people in Los Algodones. They have certainly changed my life for the better and I’ll think kindly of them every time I smile.

Simply Dental

Rating from 85 Reviews This has been my best dental experience since retiringJohn, US, 22 Sep 17

7 unit zirconia bridge. If there were 10 stars I would rate them as a 10! I traveled from middle Tennessee for this procedure. The facility was immaculate and modern. The dentist Dr. Balderrama was superb and very professional. He spoke fluent English and explained things very well. There were no hitches and only took two visits. This has been my best dental experience since retiring from the Chicago area in 2004. I recommend Simply Dental to anyone. They saved me more than $10,000.00 than what the same procedure would have cost in TN.

Dental partials. This is a no-nonsense professional dentist. She performs only the work necessary and doesn't try to sell you unnecessary services (unlike the US.A). You are promptly seen and attended to at your scheduled time (also unlike the U.S.A). My work was performed at about 20% of the cost I would have paid for in Florida. I had a total of 8 crowns done on the top row and I could not be happier! The staff and dentist (Dr. Lopez) were incredibly professional and I felt right at home in their care. It was a great value (especially compared to the United States) and the work was done beautifully. They completely transformed my smile and I could not be any happier! Great experience! The clinic was clean, easy to find, and professional. By far the nicest building and staff in Los Algodones!

Peña Reyna Dental Care

Rating from 3 Reviews I just can't put a price on the worth of the workGloria, US, 10 Sep 18

Like most, I was looking for affordable dental work. I needed extensive work done, but even with insurance, I knew that it was going to be to expensive. I heard about affordable work being done in Progresso, Mexico so I researched it. I filled out a request and had lots of clinics reaching out to me, but only two called me. The first was not Pena Reyna. It was actually another dentists who quoted me about 700 bucks to have two bridges done and some crowns. I spoke with him and even made an appointment, but then Irma from Pena Reyna reached out to me by phone. She spoke English really well since she is actually from San Antonio furthermore she sent me pictures of before and afters and a picture of some crowns they had just made a client. After speaking to her, her husband called (owner of the clinic) and explained that he could not give me an estimate because he wasn't sure how much actual work I was going to need. He said I needed an x-ray or recent dental records to know for sure, but assured me his prices were fair. So I decided to go there first, they did an x-ray, found out what I needed, gave me a price and explained everything in detail. The price was way more than I planned to spend, 5k to be exact, but I needed so much work and I knew that. I ended up having about 6 root canals, two bridges, an extraction, about 10 porcelain crowns and removal of silver filling which were replaced with white resin. In all reality, it was still so much cheaper than I would have payed anywhere in the U.S. and I just can't put a price on the worth of the work. The staff was nothing short of amazing. Irma met me in town, I followed her to the parking lot just outside of the border, and she walked in with me. She told me what to bring in advance, so I was prepared. The entire staff worked together like none ever. Because my visit was so short and I had lots of infection (hence the root canals), they gave me injections of antibiotics over the course of the few days I was there and even gave me some to take with me. I'm a nurse, so it's okay. They checked up on me daily to make sure I got to my hotel safe, even to make sure I got home safe and that I was feeling okay. I mentioned that I still had pain on my left side of the face and they quickly sent me more medication. I think they came in about 2 days. I can go on and on, but I think I have gotten my message across. The location is easy to get to, the staff was amazing, the price was affordable and so worth it! If your thinking of getting work done, be careful who you go with, it's true that you get what you pay for and I'm glad I didn't have to find that out the hard way. Good luck all! Excellent overall service!

Dental Office Puerto Vallarta

Plaza Marina Suite G24 and G25, Marina Vallarta, Puerto Vallarta, 48335
Rating from 28 Reviews We now have beautiful smilesLouise, Canada, 24 Aug 17

The dentist performed 26 crowns and 2 bridges on me, not one tooth of my mouth was left untouched. My husband had 7 crowns, one root canal and a bone transplant done for a future implant. We are very please with the results. After 3 weeks of extreme sensibility, everything is back to normal but after all, it was a big surgery. It was all worth it. We now have beautiful smiles. The dentist is professional. The staff is very friendly. The secretary speaks English and answered all our questions. Especially Jose who picked us up so many times at the hotel and was very funny and helpful. There was no pressure to make a quick decision. While waiting for the treatment, they offered us dinner and took us where we wanted to go. They understood the fear of having a treatment done in a country where you don't know the language and the rules. My husband is already thinking of doing more work. We recommend the clinic.

Cosmetic Dentist in Nuevo Progreso Dental Artistry

(866) 260-4253 Benito Juarez 217, Nuevo Progreso, 88810
Rating from 37 Reviews Better than I can describeJohn, US, 29 Nov 16

Dr. Rene reconstructed 19 of my teeth and they function perfectly and wife says they look great. As part of the process his staff performed 14 root canals in one day. Following root canals titanium posts were placed in the canal to support the new teeth. This technology is far better than all of those proposed by various dentists in the United States and the price is about 60 percent less. I can honestly say that I will not voluntarily go to another dentist voluntarily. Dental Artistry is not the cheapest office in Neuvo Progresso but I cannot imagine a better one. They are my dentist for life. Do not be concerned. It is somewhat sad that Mexico leads the US in dental technology. Better than I can describe.

Acrylic Dentures $450 - $500
Acrylic Dentures are like the $50 cameras that you can pick up at a supermarket. They take pictures, but obviously, you wont find professional photographers carrying them. If you want a cheap, quick and easy snapshot, they are OK. If you are taking pictures to impress people, then perhaps, you should think of getting a better camera. Acrylic Dentures are probably the oldest type of dentures in the market. They are still useful for people who are not demanding and budget conscious. We sometimes make acrylic dentures as temporary dentures before implant restoration. They are also good as immediate dentures as they are more easily relined and adjusted than other types of dentures. The problem with acrylic is that its not very strong compared to metal-based dentures and other newer materials on the market. A weaker material means greater thickness is required. Hence, acrylic dentures tend to be thick and bulky. Acrylic is a stable material. However, it does undergo some dimensional changes during processing. Hence, acrylic dentures tend nogt to fit so well. Quite a bit of adjustment is often needed when the dentist issues the final denture. Most acrylic partial dentures need metal clasps to help them hold on to the remaining teeth. These are usually stainless steel wires. If they are visible, they may affect aesthetics. Full acrylic dentures are often without metal as there are no more teeth left for the denture to grip on. So how do these dentures stay in the mouth? The upper full denture works by sealing itself into the upper jaw like a cup. The lower full denture is a lot harder to seal. There is also a much narrower area that the denture can rest on because of the tongue. For most people, lower full

Unlike conventional dentures, immediate dentures are made in advance and can be positioned as soon as the teeth are removed. As a result, the wearer does not have to be without teeth during the healing period. However, bones and gums shrink over time, especially during the healing period following tooth removal. Therefore a disadvantage of immediate dentures compared with conventional dentures is that they require more adjustments to fit properly during the healing process and generally should only be considered a temporary solution until conventional dentures can be made.Complete dentures can be either "conventional" or "immediate."
