Ocean Dental Cancún - U.S Board Certified Dentist

(805) 465-6061 Blvd Kukulcan KM 12.7 Zona hotelera, Cancun, 77500
Rating from 113 Reviews very pleased and impressed by my experienceJudy, Canada, 12 Mar 17

I had booked an oral evaluation at Ocean Dental while my husband and I were vacationing in Mexico, ending up in Cancun. I had been communicating with Carlos who was always prompt to reply and gave clear and detailed responses to my inquiries. We even chatted a couple of time on the phone on a toll free number. I knew I had six front teeth with composite veneers in the front that were starting to break down. This was complicated by white fillings in the back of most of them. Back home I had been told that the best procedure would be to crown all the teeth at a cost of about $1500/tooth. I have a dental plan but even though it's the "enhanced" plan - covers only $2000/ Year for crowns. The clinic send a van to pick me up at my hotel ( which is routine). My appt. was for 9:30am and the van arrived just after 9:00am with one passenger . We stopped to pick up two more people who came by ferry from Isla Muejeres where they were staying. Both parties were extremely happy with the work done and especially the cost ( one from Alberta and one from Wisconsin).By the time I got to the clinic , registered, and waited a bit for my name to be called it was probably about 10:30am. You should be prepared for waiting somewhat as it's a busy clinic and the waiting room was quite full. Despite having to wait ( some people seemed put out by it - unfortunately - this is Mexico, not the U.S. Or Canada) there was never any trace of anxiety or rushing - everyone in the clinic was relaxed and friendly. A client had brought a big bag of chocolates and patients and staff were helping themselves, laughing and joking. I was called and taken to be ex-rayed by a young man who's name I can't recall and when I asked questions he got someone else to come to answer them as his English wasn't too good. I had some 360 degree ex-rays done then went to see a young woman who did a thorough oral exam with photos and a couple more close-up exrays. She spoke English quite well and was very approachable and explained what she saw or answered questions. I felt like I was in good hands. Finally " Dr. Irma" came in and after consulting with the girl said she agreed that six crowns should be put in the front and two on the bottom pre- molars. She was also very easy to talk to and caring. I then went to see Maggie who wrote up the estimate - very thorough and knowledgeable as well as offering suggestions when I asked about a Beach to go to. The van dropped us off there instead of taking us back to where we were staying. In all the examination took over an hour and I paid $60 U. S. For it which will be deducted from the cost when the work is completed. The estimate for the eight crowns came to about $3700 Canadian and I was told to set aside a week for the work to be done ( it's better to have more time on the end in case some adjustments or "hotspots" need to be addressed). Maggie made the estimate good for a year and molds were taken of the teeth before I left. I was Very, very pleased and impressed by my experience and any nervousness I had was calmed by listening to others' experiences and seeing the clinic in action ( state of the art equipment). Why not get dental work done and save bundles while taking a vacation in Mexico?

Dr. Alejandro Benitez Dental Clinic

227 Avenida Benito Juarez, Nuevo Progreso, 88810
Rating from 81 Reviews It's so nice to be able to finally smile again!Richard, US, 17 Nov 16

My teeth were worse than BAD. I've hidden my smile for years because I was ashamed to show my teeth. Some of them were almost rotted away to the gumline. I was planning on having all of my upper teeth pulled and getting implants and a full arch porcelain bridge. Dr. Benitez recommended I keep my teeth because they would be stronger than implants. We decided to go with root canals & crowns instead. On the first day I spent about 6 hours in the dental chair getting 9 root canals. Yes, Nine! The Dr. did an excellent job on my root canals. No pain during or after the procedure.. The second day the Dr. added posts & a temporary 10 teeth Crown. Again, No Pain! On the third day I received 2 implants in my lower jaw bone. Once again, Pain Free. They have the greatest Staff of people ever!!! I've never felt that comfortable in a dental office in my whole life. I will never go to another dentist!! Ever!!! Benitez Dental Clinic is the only place for me. I'm going back in February to get my Zirconia Crowns & get work started on my lower teeth. It's so nice to be able to finally smile again! Benitez Dental Clinic is the BEST dental clinic I have ever been to. I can't recommend them enough!!!!! You will not be disappointed. EXCELLENT PEOPLE that do EXCELLENT WORK!!!!!! PAIN FREE!!!

Circle Dental Group - Los Algodones

(877) 863-7456 Av A Corner 3rd, Los Algodones, 21970
Rating from 109 Reviews A new and brighter smileMike, US, 26 Apr 17

I had six zirconium crowns and one zircon implant crown with a custom abutment designed by Dr.Aldo from eye tooth to eye tooth + one on the other side of the eye tooth. To do this in the states: approximately $12,000.00 and here $3000.00 with the implant done in the states. Good value? You decide. I went to Circle Dental specifically because Dr. Jimenez advertisement of tissue grafts. He was one of the few mentioning grafts. I had an Implant by a doctor in the states but he referred me on to another Dr. for a graft which left me with a flipper and not a crown for over 5 yrs. The graft was expensive and would have been painful so I procrastinated doing it. My gum line does not show when I smile and I always thought I could have had the crowns without the graft. The first thing Dr. Aldo told me was he didn't think I needed the graft and he could do the crowns I needed. I was sold. Dr. Aldo was as gentle and considerate as he could be for this level of work. He had Dr. Jimenez look in on me as he progressed through the procedure to "show off" his work. I couldn't be happier with the professionalism with both the doctors and the staff. I have a fully functional mouth and a new and brighter smile. Thank You to all, Mike from Minnesota

So far I'm very happy with their work. They were extremely professional, the office was modern and very well maintained! Outstanding customer service. Very neat and clean. Upon leaving I left my phone and discovered it missing while in line at the border. Left quickly to find a phone. Upon getting change at the nearest store there stood a gentleman with my phone. Truly impressed!

Rating from 25 Reviews Replaced crown, it came out better than what I had before.Carmen, US, 23 Jan 17

I went online to search for a dentist that I felt had the experience to help me with my dilemma. I had a front crown that was shifting and I only wanted that crown replaced but several dentists that I talked to wanted to crown at least 3 front teeth to make sure it came out looking right. Well I didn't want that all I wanted was that crown replaced. Well I came upon Dra. Luz Marley and sure enough she replaced crown. It came out better than what I had before. And let me also mention that her staff is wonderful. Thank you Dra. Marley and staff..

Rating from 117 Reviews Dentoamerica will exceed your expectations.David, California, 11 Jun 16

The clinic is very modern and amazingly clean. I am impressed with the latest technological devices used during the exam and how they helped me to understand the big picture of my overall dental health. I got a full exam with a very detailed consultation in English, and a cleaning. All my options were clearly explained and there was absolutely no pressure to begin the dentists recommended treatment. Kirk, a Canadian, is the co-owner, always at the clinic, always helpful. Dentoamerica is a top notch clinic. Professional staff with an eye for attention to every detail. Squeaky clean clinic and treatment rooms. Licensed U.S. and Mexican Dentists. English speaking staff. Just get in the cab, go to the LAGO REAL Mall and the clinic is in the mall. Dentoamerica will exceed your expectations.

This is a follow up to my review of 04/24/2017. I returned today and had my permanent caps put in and They are beautiful! So I arrived to have my permanent caps done! They are so service oriented that they had the lab bring over my teeth and make sure I was happy with the color and shape before glazing, and they were great! the temps were removed and the glazed ones put in! No pain! Beautiful colour and shape! I had to hug Dr Saavedra and Patricia and so professional but so nice and such good hearts! I can't wait to do the bottom ones now! my statement about the cost was incorrect as he did 5 caps and a three tooth bridge for only the $2200.00! I couldn't of ask for a better experience!

Rating from 21 Reviews I have not had any issues and don't expect I willMrs_Charlene, Canada, 03 Apr 18

I had major dental work done on several occasions in Canada at a cost of well over 50K. Each time the work failed, so I found myself back at a periodontist now having to resort to dental implants. I had one done at a cost of 6K and so far, all is well. I knew it was inevitable that I would need several more implants. I was sharing my story with a friend, she told me that she and her husband had been having their dental work done in Mexico for years due to the quality and at a fraction of what it costs in Canada. My first reaction was "are you kidding me"! My husband and I then did a bit of research online, reading various reviews and testimonies of others from Canada and the US that had work done in Mexico. We did not see one negative comment. We soon discovered other friends and friends of friends also had their work done in Mexico. They were very pleased with the outcome and the cost. We wanted to have the work done in Puerto Vallarta, as we generally travel there once a year for vacation. We called a couple clinics and chose the one we did because they were prompt to contact us. The office Manager spoke very good English so language was not a barrier. My treatment is ongoing but on my first trip (with treatment over three days) I had 10 implants, 6 extractions and 6 root canals. The cost of 10 implants alone in Canada would have been 60K. We chose Dr Leticia Armas Tejeda's clinic located at Plaza Marina because of the quick response to our inquiry and the fact that Jose, the Office Manager, spoke very good English. We communicated via text and email without any difficulty. I was picked up at the Hotel by Jose and taken to the clinic where I met Dr Leticia who is lovely. A major plus for this clinic is Dr Karen. She too speaks amazing English and was so very helpful and caring. You can imagine how nervous I was but she was with me through each treatment explaining what was going on. They have a team of specialists doing each procedure. She even went as far as to go to the pharmacy with us, to make sure we got what we needed because we only speak Poquito Spanish. I will return on the 31st of October 2018, to have the crowns and bridges completed. Dr Karen keeps in touch getting updates on how I am doing. I have not had any issues and don't expect I will.
