Treatment went well for both me and my partner. I have had gynecomastia and liposuction. My other half had uplift and implants. We was put in a nice hotel on the beach, 5 minutes away from the clinic if walked. Pharmacy was across from the hotel with loads of shops. Nice restuarants are next to the hotel. A nice little coastal town, everything on your door step. I would go on holiday there. The nurses in the hospital was very good. Any pain they sorted it for you. I had 3 bags of pain killers. The pain for the 1st 12-18hr. After theater is the worst but they looked after me and my other half. Alara clinic is very clean and all staff very polite. Meri who is the women who organised it all for us was amazing. I'm back in Middlewich Cheshire recovering for the next so many weeks. We are so glad I choose this clinic and area. I've been turkey 4 different times different places and this was the best place for me.

Overall, it was a good experience for Colon-vaginoplasty. If I had to do it over again, I would not pick a different surgeon; she is a wonderful person and a definite ally - same with all the staff. Functionally. Everything seems to be in good recovery from the surgery was not painful - the worst part is the bed rest and just being helpless in the few days following surgery. I had a complication due to the IV, which I'll explain more below. Right now, there is still a good amount of swelling. I am told that the majora will subside over the coming months - besides that, the rest of everything looks pretty good, and I'm happy so far.

I was in your position once and read about doctors and looked at the results! But as important is the recovery! The dilation schedule is very easy with 3 dilations daily the first month, then 2 dilations daily the next 2 months and once a day for the next 3 months! I can share that I have started physiotherapy and she was amazed at how natural it looked and how natural it also felt! She has worked 30 years helping women with a tight private part and she could not feel the difference between me and a cis-female! I have never been happier! I can feel like myself after a bit more than 20 years of living in the wrong body! Remember this is not an easy surgery to recover from, so to have a secure network like the Im gender medical team around at my disposal has been crucial for my recovery! I cannot stress enough that if even if Aida herself isn't nursing you, she WILL take care of you! She would always check in to make sure the clinic were communicating with me fully and transparently, that I was being offered the post-op therapies that I needed and paid for, and how I was feeling counting down towards the operation. She even checked in with me when I landed at the airport and again at the hotel, helping me navigate public transport in cases where I was unsure. I was travelling alone, but even at opposite ends of Spain Aida was making sure I was safe. I booked a hotel that Oscar recommended, and even though I paid for my room I still felt like I was being spoilt. Perfect location to walk to the hospital, the beach, the old town - it was honestly like a holiday. The staff there were also incredibly accommodating when I couldn't speak for the second half of my stay. Oscar gave me some recommendations of things to see tailored to my interests like art galleries and museums, and they were places I wouldn't have found on my own! The pre-op appointment, operation, and post-op recovery? Easy. If it's weird to say the experience has been enjoyable, then maybe I'm a total weirdo. All medical staff I've met in Spain are so friendly, assured, and relaxed - you're really put into good hands with the clinics you're offered. Aida would keep in communication until discharge, again to see you home safely, and now two weeks post-op we're still sharing in the excitement of how my voice is developing. Getting estimates, deciding on where to stay, knowing how to travel, struggling with language barriers, knowing what clinics are trustworthy, feeling anxious or unsure or even scared of what to expect, circumstances of being unable to trust anyone to rely on when going through such vulnerable yet monumental changes - all become non-issues with Safe Rebirth, and it's a service providing such needed compassion along the way too.
