I arranged my FFS in Spain with Dr Herrero and it was really a great experience - in fact, I'm not sure it could have been better. Dr Herrero and his colleague Dr Jariod Ferrer, were a really professional team and everything from the pre-surgery consultations to the after-care has been faultless. Although it's less than 2 weeks since my Mentoplasty and there is still swelling, I am super-happy with the results and the change in facial shape and overall appearance achieved - it has exceeded my expectations. I was inquiring about mastectomy surgery services provided, and Dr. Roberto was extremely informative and detailed about the cost, treatment, all procedures and any support if required. I didn't go through with the surgery at this time for personal reasons. The consultation was done very professionally.

I met Dr Herrero in person for a consultation for gender reassignment surgery while staying with a close friend who had a nose operation with his team. My friend's experience with him and the team was very positive and successful and I wanted to take the opportunity to meet in person while I was there to discuss my options. He was polite pleasant helpful relaxed and easy to communicate with. Everything I needed to know was clear and fully explained, discussed to the point where when ready I would for sure be considering him and his team for the surgery I need. The hospital and local associated facilities, although I did not personally have time to see them all in a short stay my friend who did has high standards and was impressed with everything so further validation, this is a good choice. The city of Zaragoza, the living costs and the choice of accommodation was impressive. Proximity and ease to the airport and other transport links was no problem even on the first visit. I had a consultation with Dr. Herrero about top surgery. Both him and Aida were very friendly and answered all of my questions in detail. They were very welcoming and really made me feel at ease.

My experience of the service provided by Dr Herrero and his team was based on my Rhinoplasty operation. I would like to report that the team were excellent from start to finish. I am very happy with the results, and I would highly recommend them. I will be returning next year for other treatments. The hospital is extremely clean and modern, the room was huge, a couple of minor things I would have changed, like the op was booked for 4 pm, which meant no food all day, a morning op would have been better. Language is a little challenging, but we managed. I'd like to specially mention Aida & Maribe, who are very friendly and helpful. The two surgeons are amazing. Highest recommendation from me.

A few weeks later, I booked my surgery. It was performed under local anaesthetic, just as I had requested, and I didn’t feel any pain at all. The entire procedure took less than 45 minutes. I stayed the first night in Zaragoza to rest, and Dr. Herrero made sure I had all the necessary medication.

The following day, I returned to the clinic for a follow-up appointment — everything looked perfect. Since then, I’ve been in daily contact with Dr. Herrero throughout my healing process, and he’s been incredibly attentive and supportive.

From start to finish, I’ve felt completely cared for and in very good hands. I can wholeheartedly recommend Dr. Herrero!

After having a couple of online consultations, I chose to go to Zaragoza under the care of Dr. Herrero. When I arrived in Zaragoza, I was welcomed in the Clinica San Clemente by Dr Herrero, who answered my questions and doubts in detail and provided photos of patients of his during different stages of recovery. This reassured me, and speaking with Dr Herrero face-to-face made me sure I was in safe hands. The day of surgery, I was nervous; however, when I met Dr Herrero, the nursing team and the anaesthetist, it all became real. Everyone was so kind, and I calmed down. The few days I spent in the hospital were with my mum, who was able to sleep in my room and take care of me. Dr Herrero visited me several times for checkups, and my big reveal was a very special moment. I looked down and I felt happy. We had been advised that in order to receive the right after-care to stay in Zaragoza for nearly 2 weeks, so we got an Airbnb two minutes away from the hospital. I have had daily checkups and three lymphatic massages in my time here. Dr. Herrero provides everything you need so you can concentrate on your recovery. I would say to anyone who is considering top surgery that Dr Herrero and his team in Zaragoza are true specialists and help trans people achieve their goals and have the best results.

I had 3 major surgeries with Dr. Herrero: FFS (Facial Feminisation Surgery), Colo-vaginoplasty and then a combination of 360° liposuction with lipo sculpting to breasts and buttocks over a period of around a year.
The FFS was perhaps even more life-changing than the colo-vaginoplasty in terms of everyday life. The results were fantastic and while I may opt for some minor additional changes years later.

I find no fault in the work done, the recovery or the experience. For a more mathematical response; in gender recognition software my face was seen as 80%+ masculine before the surgery and after recovery, the score was consistently 96% female. Most cis-women I know who tried this software scored 70-80% female. I could not expect anything better.
As for the colo-vaginoplasty... Simply amazing. I had a Gynaecologist in Taiwan give me a vaginal inspection recently, she asked me when I had my hysterectomy while she was using the speculum.

It was that good! As for sensitivity, mind-blowing. It took 3 or 4 months to heal enough to learn that, but 3 or 4 years later I am still amazed at what this body can experience now.

As for the BBL and lipo work, again, very happy. Not as life-changing as the other two results, but the quality is just as good and I am very happy with my body in a way I never thought I would be.

Also, Dr. Herrero is a gentleman, kind, took the time to explain things, was gentle and understood my needs completely.

In 2022, I underwent vaginoplasty with Dr. Roberto Herrero, and it was one of the best decisions of my life.
