I am very glad I chose Dr. Rodriguez Vega to perform this life-changing surgery on me. As a trans female, I can’t express how right everything looks and feels right now and how much of a relief it is after all these years. The process itself went very smoothly from the initial consultation all the way through surgery, the hospital, first dilation, and post-hospital recovery at a nearby hotel. I had no pain throughout the process and only a little discomfort due to being confined to bed for several days after surgery. Dr. RV and her staff were wonderful to work with, and they all truly care about their patients.

Overall, it was a good experience for Colon-vaginoplasty. If I had to do it over again, I would not pick a different surgeon; she is a wonderful person and a definite ally - same with all the staff. Functionally. Everything seems to be in good recovery from the surgery was not painful - the worst part is the bed rest and just being helpless in the few days following surgery. I had a complication due to the IV, which I'll explain more below. Right now, there is still a good amount of swelling. I am told that the majora will subside over the coming months - besides that, the rest of everything looks pretty good, and I'm happy so far.

From the very beginning both, her secretary, who is wonderful and herself have treated me with respect; closeness and professionalism, caring at all times and addressing my doubts and concerns.
