Eyelid Surgery Worldwide

I am a 54 year old British woman and I’m delighted to leave a review of my recent deep plane face/neck lift and upper/lower eyelid with temple lift surgery and experience with Dr Gorkem Atsal in Instanbul. Having surgery is a big step and I did plenty of online research beforehand as there are so many options. I chose Dr Atsal because of his experience, qualifications, reviews and the hospital he was recommending. Also, after my video consultation with him, he was detailed in his explanations and recommendations and conservative in his surgical approach. Other surgeons were suggesting I had my rhinoplasty in the same surgery and were also recommending more procedures like a lip lift. Dr Aksal did NOT want to do rhinoplasty in the same session due to the impact of the swelling from the other procedures and the extended amount of time I would be under general anaesthesia. My safety and a good surgical outcome was his top priority. He is a lovely, positive, reassuring Doctor and his English is excellent and fluent. There was no need for a translator. The pre-op assessment (blood tests, X-ray and ECG) hospital facilities and nursing care were first-class and all focused on my safety, comfort and well-being. There were no language issues, someone who could speak English was always around. 48 hours after surgery I was discharged from the hospital back to the beautiful G hotel to recover and I was driven to and from the Doctor’s luxury clinic for post-op checks with him on days 5 and 7 before flying home to the UK. I was also given all the necessary medicine, creams and even a special LED facial massager to use at home to speed up my healing. During my time in Istanbul I could contact someone on the Dr’s team 24 hours per day and any questions I had were quickly answered. He was neither the most expensive nor the cheapest Surgeon and I felt that the price I paid was very good value for money. I would highly recommend this surgeon and as a side note, I would absolutely suggest having a friend or family member to accompany you when having surgery overseas. It’s reassuring to have a company with you.

I have been to Catch Life on two occasions this year. The first was for trifocal lens surgery in July, which was great, and now I no longer have to wear glasses. The treatment was fantastic, and Batu and Mari were amazing. I then returned in October for a facelift, neck lift, and upper and lower eyelid surgery. I am now 6 weeks post-surgery, and the results are fantastic. Mari was always there at the end of the phone, and the team was amazing from the moment I landed. You are taken care of, and nothing is too much trouble. Andread, one of the coordinators, was so kind and so helpful, and a big shout-out to Gilop, our driver. They even took us out for a day of sightseeing—nothing was too much trouble. As for my surgery, Dr. Manav is an amazing surgeon, and I am so pleased with the results. In fact, I’ve already booked to return in May next year for a tummy tuck and arm lift. The cost was great—I could never afford it here in the UK. They are coming to London in January, so if you are thinking of having any treatment, book and go see them!

Dr. Müge performed my blepharoplasty. I am very happy with the results. After the surgery, I experienced much less swelling and pain than I had expected, and my recovery was very smooth. The procedure has been operated under local anesthesia and I was all awake during the surgery. From the minute I landed the service was amazing I was collected from the air port taken to my hotel, I was then collected and taken to Batıgöz clinic the clinc was really clean and everyone within the clinic are lovley and welcoming my patient coordinator ERKMAN was amazing from start to finish his English is really really good and he makes the communication really easy and explained every step to me he also made sure my 13 year old daughter was happy and safe for the duration I was in surgery as she was my companion. He also collected and dropped us off with the transfuse driver. My doctor/surgeon was Dr Ismail, who has done an amazing job. I'm only 1 week post op, and my bruising and swelling are very minimal. My overall experience was really good the hotel provided was also really nice were the staff also help with ice packs and eye drops after surgery with room service. Prof. Stajcic and the nurses at the clinic are especially careful, kind, and professional. I had a chondrolaryngoplasty. I was especially really worried about possible damage to vocal cords, but Prof. Stajcic was really calm about it and explained that there is no substantial risk. My Adam's apple was huge, and I was cautioned that even after surgery,y there will be a slight bulge, and so it is, but still the pointy, obviously male part is gone, and my dysphoria has gotten way better. I had a quick and easy recovery, and three months later, only a thin pink line is left at the incision site, which I am treating with ointments. Even months later, Prof. Stajcic messaged me to ask whether everything was fine. He is a kind man with a sense of humour. For whoever chooses this clinic, I have to warn you that it is on the last floor of a residential building, which gives a scary impression at first. However, after entering, the clinic itself is clean and very well-equipped, and the staff is very professional. Being in Eastern Europe, prices are much more affordable than in Western countries, while the quality does not seem to be any less. Last but not least, any surgery is a risk, and as a trans person myself, I want to urge all people to only undergo surgeries they are sure about. However, if you do decide on a tracheal shave, I think you will be in good hands at Prof. Stajcic's. Aleks - November 2025

I had a upper and lower blepharoplasty on Sunday, Dec 9th 2024 with pickup and returned to my hotel. That's right, even on Sunday. In less than 12 hrs later I'm already seeing fantastic results.
