I visited Doctor Gorkem in the Radisson Blu hotel in London for a consultation while he was in the UK recently. We discussed my case, and I decided to go ahead with an endoscopic brow lift and fat injection to the face and hands in Istanbul.

It has now been 12 weeks since the procedure. I am super pleased with the result. The brow lift has given me a natural lifting of the eyebrows and has freshened the eye area; however, I am still recovering as the feeling has not fully returned in the scalp area, so I just need a little more time to get back to normal. The fat injections to my hands have given a full, younger effect, and my face now looks fuller and fresher. The temple area is still in the healing process.

If I could give a 100 star review, I would! I came to Doctor Görkem from Utah, USA, based on personal research and a gut feeling. My expectations were exceeded in every way from consultation, coordinated travel, appointments, handholding and of course, surgery. I found out that Doctor Gorkem’s name means charming, and I can’t think of a better description of the man except perhaps artist and magician. I had 67 years of sun worship, stress and ageing on my face along with a triple chin. I had deep plane face, chin and neck and upper and lower bleph. I can’t begin to explain how thrilled I am with absolutely everything. I told his amazing team that I will need to wear a nametag at home because my family won’t recognise me at

This is the second time and my husband has visited Dr Gorkem Astal. Last year we both had upper and lower blepharoplasty. The results are outstanding and subsequently, we decided to embark on a journey that for a long time we had only discussed. For us these weren't decisions made on a whim but rather a thoughtful process aimed at feeling more confident and comfortable in our own skin. I underwent a deep plane face and neck lift, while my husband had a hair transplant. We would like to take this opportunity to share our experiences to help others who might be considering a similar or the same procedure. I had been noticing signs of ageing on my face and neck that no amount of skin care or at-home treatments could address. After extensive research, I decided that a deep plane face and neck lift was the option for me. The deep plane technique was explained to me by Dr Gorkem Astal. This repositions the deeper tissues and muscles to the face, resulting in a more natural and long-lasting result compared to traditional lifts. The day of the surgery was a mix of excitement and nerves. The procedure was performed under general anaesthesia. The recovery was manageable, I experienced swelling and bruising and slight discomfort but the pain was controlled with medication. The results one week on have been remarkable. The swelling is subsiding and I am thrilled to bits with how natural my face is looking. I now have a jawline and my neck is smoother and my overall appearance is refreshed and rejuvenated without looking pulled. My Husband had been dealing with hair loss for a number of years, which had a significant impact on his self-esteem. He decided to undergo a hair transplant a procedure that involved harvesting hair from a dense area to the balding area. His procedure was a follicular unit extraction (FUE), which is known for a less invasive recovery and no scarring. His experience from consultation to recovery was very different from mine. The procedure was done under local anaesthesia and he was awake for the entire time. He said it was a long day but not painful just a little uncomfortable at times, especially sleeping, he has minor swelling and redness and the donor area was a little sore for a few days but he is now getting back to normal. His results are still in the process of becoming fully apparent, as hair growth takes time; however,he is already seeing new growth and his hairline looks incredibly natural. He is thrilled with the process so far and is already starting to feel more confident. It was helpful to have each other for support and understanding. We have learned that these decisions are deeply personal and finding the right doctor and also having realistic expectations are the key to a positive outcome. We are both very happy with our decisions and the results we have. If you are considering having cosmetic surgery, we hope our story provides a bit of insight and encouragement. I cannot rate Dr Gorken Astal and his dedicated team enough. They arrange everything for you, support you constantly and you don't have to worry about transfers or accommodation; the accommodation was exceptional.

After reading a couple of bad reviews about the doctor and his assistants, i want to share my real experience with them, without leading you blind.
I’ve had a rhinoplasty done with the Dr., last week; it’s the beginning of my second week now. I am writing this review regarding the treatment, the hospitality and everything overall. I won't be saying anything huge about my rhinoplasty, yet.

First things first, the price i paid was for operation, hotel and transport fees. As transport, i mean from airport, to clinic, to hospital and back to airport, don't expect to be driven everywhere you like for free.
The first person who introduced me to everything was one of his assistants Gulce. Gulce speaks really good English (maybe other languages, but that was the language we spoke). She was really patient with every question i had towards the rhinoplasty, and she is very sweet as person too.
On my day of arrival, it was a late flight and i couldn’t do nor a consultation, nor the tests needed for the operation. The next day, early morning, they always texts you the night before to let you know what time the driver will pick you up from the hotel, i went for me consultation with the Dr. and his assistants. By the way before your arrival his assistant makes a group chat with all his assistants, a private group chat just for you if anything needed after work times . The Dr. speaks good English, please note that in Turkey they don't teach them english in school or etc. so don’t judge if the accent is not good. The Dr. is really nice, was very patient with doing my 3D result of my rhinoplasty, because I didn’t liked it 3 times 🤭 Overall first impression was good for me, good manners, gives you tea or coffee, everything you need is there. They have modern interior, new machines.

The next day was my operation… here i do have to say a few things about the hospital service. The 5 stars on my review is for the Dr. and his crew, nothing to do with the hospital. When going for the operation, you are put in a private hospital, yes he doesn’t own a hospital and so does a lot of other Drs in Turkey. I was put in a room by myself, the room was clean, new and spacious. First thing we did was get blood tests, then i signed the documents for the operation, which his assistant Asal was with me the whole time in the hospital and was really sweet and patient with me as i am scared of needles. Because i mentioned to the Dr. I’ve had a heart surgery as a child he insisted to be checked, i was rushed up and down the elevators, later i saw that the Dr. was arguing with the medical sisters on shift for making me go up and down, as i was already in my hospital gown and abocat and was not really comfortable. I was really touched by that, because i felt safe.
My operation went well, and I haven’t felt any pain in my nose to this day. The only pain I was feeling was my abocat, it was hurting so bad that I think this was the worst of all. And nobody spoke English in the hospital, so it was a nightmare. I only stayed 1 night at the hospital and was driven back home. Before going home, the Dr. came to check up on me and explained what he has done to my nose.

After 3 days, my nose cast was removed and the things they put inside your nostrils, dont know the correct name. That was the best part of all. Then the Dr. explained what and shat not to do, how to massage it, i am very pleased of the communication i had with him as Dr and patient, note that i was by myself.

To this day i keep in touch with his assistant Gulce, asking any questions, they insist to take pictures every day to follow your healing process, which for me sounds enough for a Drs job and team. I am pleased with the choice i made, i felt at home.

I previously wrote a review both before and shortly after my surgery, at which time I was very happy with the experience.
Overall, I am generally pleased with the work that was carried out. However, there are some areas that I had paid for that appear not to have been treated.

I first raised this concern in December 2025. Since then, I have been informed that the surgeon who performed my procedure has now left the clinic and that the work completed was what could be done at the time.

From my perspective, it is still clearly visible that my lower back was not treated. I asked for a call to discuss this further, but I have not received one.

The response I have received so far has been that the surgeon completed what was possible during the procedure. I was then provided with a quotation for additional surgery to address the remaining area, which was higher than quotes I have received from other companies.

This situation has been very disappointing for me, particularly as I had already raised the concern some time ago and was hoping for a clearer resolution.

Based on my experience, I would advise anyone considering treatment to ensure that the specific areas to be treated are clearly discussed and confirmed beforehand

My point of contact was (and still is) Sia, and I can sincerely say he provided all the information I needed to make an informed decision about choosing this clinic. There was absolutely no pressure, and every question I asked was answered thoroughly. Based on this, I chose to go ahead with them.

Upon landing, I was taken straight to the hospital for tests—even though it was a Sunday. Although Sia wasn’t scheduled to work that day, he made a special trip to the hospital to meet me and guide me through the process.

The next morning, I was promptly picked up and taken to the hospital for check-in. I met with a member of the clinic team as well as the surgeon, and the surgery was then carried out. I stayed in the hospital for two days to recover. While the nurses didn’t speak fluent English, they made every effort to communicate and ensure I was comfortable. I was also visited and checked on by the clinic team during my stay. The hospital itself was clean and well-maintained. Though I’d recommend bringing your own snacks!

Before being discharged, the surgeon personally checked that I was ready to be released. I was then taken back to a hotel, which was clean, comfortable, and a great place to recover.

Later in the week, I met with the rest of the team— including Dr. Gorkem Atsal—at the clinic’s main office. Before my departure, I had a final check-up with the surgeon and was given the all-clear, along with some medication to take home.

Now, nearly two weeks post-op, I have no regrets.

I researched several companies before choosing Dr. Gorkem Atsal’s clinic, and this one stood out for both customer care and affordability. I would absolutely recommend them to anyone considering cosmetic surgery. If you do, I’d definitely suggest getting in touch with Sia—though the whole team was fantastic.

Had an arm lift and liposuction to get rid of fat and hanging skin, to tighten that area up. Since menopause, my skin became loose and fat, had it removed.

The team of girls that worked at the clinic were very helpful, friendly, and kind, and looked after me. I stayed in hospital for one night and they kept in touch to see if I was OK. Yasemin and Nilsu were absolutely brilliant xxx.

Very professional, kind, caring, truly gifted Dr Gorkem Atsal, with a great team, supported me throughout my rhinoplasty journey. Addressed all my concerns pre and post op and it went pretty smooth for me. I highly, highly recommend.

Dr Atsal is fantastic. Excellent facial surgeon. I had a neck lift and upper and lower blepharoplasty. He's very patient and explained everything before and after the surgery. The scars are hardly noticeable on the back of my neck and the eye scars are invisible. Recovery was fast. My surgery resulted in a subtle change were nobody knows it's been down but says I look relaxed, lost weight etc....
