I can't express ENOUGH how good this experience was from the time I contacted their office earlier this year to when I walked in to have the work done in late August. Luis, the care coordinator, is AMAZING. He went above and beyond every step of the way. Unfortunately, I had to get all my teeth extracted, which was very hard to go through. Luis made sure I had everything I needed to aid in my recovery. Dr Funes and his support staff were stellar from start to finish. Of course, I was nervous due to the procedure I was facing. That feeling quickly subsided once I met the doctor and his support team, I knew I was in good hands. I currently have a temporary denture while the bone grafts and implant sites heal. I will be going back in 6 months to get my permanent implants put in. The staff went above and beyond to make this difficult experience easier to go through. I HIGHLY recommend Dr. Funes and his staff if you need extensive dental work done. Lastly, did I mention they pay for your lodging while you are there!!! In regard to some of the one-star reviews....there are TWO sides to every story, you can ask about them and judge for yourself. Dr Funes is an excellent dentist and very honest.

The procedure itself was remarkably painless—far beyond what I ever expected—and that speaks volumes about Dr. Ivan’s skill and care, as well as the calm, supportive environment you both create. I honestly can’t imagine that there is a better doctor or facility that could have handled my implants. Because of your expertise and kindness, I left feeling confident, comfortable, and genuinely happier than I anticipated. That is not something patients experience every day, and it deserves to be recognised. Thank you again for everything you do and for setting such a high standard of care.

I had 2 appointments with Dr. Morales. I had a loose bridge, and she gave me a consultation and and xray for my whole mouth at no charge. She was one of the best dentist I have ever had, for she took the time to talk to me about all my concerns and what would be the best for my bridge problem. The next week she removed the bridge and took out the two teeth that was holding it up. Then another surgeon put in bone graft for I had bone loss. Months down the road I will have 2 implants with a new bridge. Her shots I didn't even feel which I have always felt with other dentists. She is a very nice lady and I totally recommend her to be your dentist.

I cannot say enough great things about this dental office and the entire team. I had four extractions with bone grafts, one crown replacement, and a cavity filled in two relatively short appointments over 2 consecutive days. I experienced little to no pain, only tenderness and moderate discomfort. The procedure plan was explained well. They took multiple scans to make sure everything was a perfect fit. The office was clean and well-organised. Very friendly and helpful staff. I was even picked up at a hotel in Yuma and driven to the office, eliminating the stress/problem of finding the location. The price was a fraction of what I'd have paid in the US... as well as a fraction of the time spent in the dental chair. I believe I got superior professional service than I would have in the States.

They(Stephanie and Caesar)were very professional and listened to all my needs. They are kind and thoughtful too. You would be well served if you use them. I get compliments on my teeth and smile. I got 6 upper implants and a full bridge. I will be returning for more work now that my bottom implants have integrated. They are much more affordable than Arizona.

Implant surgery was fast, clean, and stress-free. Dr. Veronica Castro handled everything in one visit with digital mapping. Had two implants placed. Fast, clean, and professional. Everyone speaks great English and actually listens to you. I walked out smiling and pain-free.

I finally got time to write my review…. Our appointment was in Aug 2025, with The Prostho Studio. It was a warm day and good thing we didn’t have to walk too far as a courtesy dental office provided transportation near the border entrance, which made us feel at ease. We really had a great experience and enjoyed our time there—I don’t know if I ever said that about a dental appointment LOL! Anyhow, Dr Andres provided excellent customer service along with his crew, including Frank. We really liked the manner in which all aspects of the dental analysis and work recommended were explained. The state-of-the-art dental equipment, including digital images, really allowed us to understand the overall situation regarding our teeth. I’m so glad I chose your office. Thank you for your professionalism, expertise and honest responses. We look forward to continuing to have our oral care treatments in your office!

I was looking for clinic in Los Algodones that would repair a broken crown...other large dental clinics wanted to redo 5 crowns, which did not need it. Dr Sephanie Corona did incredible work so that my beautiful smile has been restored. She gave me the choices rather than pushing a high-cost set of treatments. Outstanding, excellent dental clinic.

I have been to a lot of dentists in my life and I have to say that Costa Rica Dental Clinic is by far the best. You will not find more professional staff that really do everything possible to make a normally unpleasant process much more bearable.

Had 24 crowns and 2 implants completed in 4 days. Totally painless and a great look. Highly recommend Dr Salazar and his staff. Very good experience.

First time to a dentist in Mexico. Front office staff are the best, friendly, make you feel like you are their most important patient, knowledgeable, even though the patient waiting area is packed. They check on you in-between patients to see if you need anything. Avi(Cheech), Rico, Dr(can't remember his name), who worked so hard to get things right so I could go home, all went above and beyond. I had an upper denture with pre-existing implants, extractions, and a lower denture. The value of everything was reasonable. We in the US could use more people like these. Thank you. If you're ever in need of a fantastic dentist, I highly recommend coming to San Jose, Costa Rica! After losing my front teeth and neighboring tooth in an accident at age 11, I've undergone numerous operations and tried almost every possible dental treatment by age 37. I've had to replace my front teeth every 10 years or so, especially during my younger years when I was still growing. I've been with Dr. Jehoavas Rafa for a couple of years now, and he's the first dentist who not only does a technically great job but also considers aesthetics - which is super rare, believe me! Highly recommend Dr. Jehoavas Rafa for professional and cosmetic treatment - he's one of the best dentists I've ever experienced!!

We learned of Prisma Dental through International Living during one of their conferences in Costa Rica. They gave a presentation and I spoke with one of their representatives at their table during the conference. My husband and I both needed dental work. His was going to be extremely expensive in the US, so we took the leap and made an appointment online with Luis at Prisma Dental and traveled back to Costa Rica. My husband was extremely apprehensive and wanted complete sedation, but Dr Nadine Rubinstein was so gentle that she was able to remove 13 tooth roots with just numbing. He had no pain during the procedure or that evening. By the next day they had his very natural looking dentures ready! He will be back in 6 months for implants. I needed bonding on my lower front teeth and a cracked back molar fixed. I, too, was apprehensive, but with a mild sedative, Dr. Carolina Nunez built up the back molar and bonded nine lower teeth - all painlessly. The next day, she permanently cemented the new back molar. One can't even tell I had any work done - each bonding is seamless. From arranging for the appointment with Luis to being incredibly kind when we walked in the front door - topped off with the terrific work they did, it was a great experience - and the cost was a fraction of what we would have paid in the US.

I had problems with my implants, which I got done overseas. Since the USA was expensive, I decided to go to nouveau Progreso in Mexico and went to Dr. Rene for treatment. Not only did Dr. Sergio do an excellent job on my crown, but he also gave me 2 2-year warranty. I therefore decided to go for veneers on some of my teeth, which were also done by a junior doctor. One of my veneers came out, so I called Mr Rick and Mr Rick honoured his commitment and rectified the problem and put a new veneer free of any charge. I highly recommend them.
