I came from Texas because pricing. Dr Funes and his staff very professional and curious. Level of integrity is also outstanding. I planning on a full mouth and he recommended against that option. He put crowns on my remaining good teeth and did 9 single implants. I can’t say enough nice about my experience! Just watch out for Luis 😜

I needed dental repair. The cost at my dentist in Los Angeles was astronomical. My wife researched other options. We decided on Funesmile. Dr. Juan Funes had great reviews and 20+ years in all aspects of the whole tooth.

My wife had a full mouth restoration that came out so beautiful. We were pleased. I had old bridges and other dental concerns. Dr. Funes addressed all my concerns and handled the all with expertise and a professional manner.

The whole team was excellent. I want to give a shout out to Luis who coordinates all appointments, hotels, pick up and drop off during your stay. He's the best! Great work for a fair price.

I had several bad experiences with dentists in the U.S. I spent thousands of dollars. I had enough. I researched dentists in Tijuana Mexico. I was especially drawn to Dr. Funes. He had good reviews and a strong background. Well I was delighted with he was professional along with his staff. Dr. Funes did a full mouth restoration He completely addressed all my issues. I couldn't be happier. My teeth look wonderful.

Had two implants done at Funes smile and the experience was great. Doctor took his time and ensured me everything would be ok and good prices never changed. My husband and I had excellent treatment here from the time we were picked up at the airport and taken to our nice hotel, I came with my husband because he was getting whole mouth dental implants and once I saw how his treatments were going I decided to get 3 dental implants for myself also because of the price compared to what they charge in the US as well, they accommodated me we were treated like family by Dr. Funes's assistant Luis and Dr Funes and staff were all so nice and did an excellent job with our implants we are looking forward to returning to get our permanent teeth in January

I started my journey almost a full year ago. The team at Funesmile dental was incredibly kind to me. And I’m coming all the way from Orlando. The process is made as simple as 9 implants, 22 crowns, 3 root canals, 6 fillings, and multiple sets of partial dentures/bridges can be made.

To say nothing of how well the travel is handled. When you land in San m Diego, there’s always someone there to bring you across. The Marriot they partner with is a perfectly fine hotel(with continental breakfast included) and the trip home is usually handled by the same person who picked you up in the first place.

This team was patient, and they took great care of my process. Although it was a bit more complicated than we originally planned, the fact that they expressed concerns regarding infection and the like putting delays into our plans really made me feel at ease. They could have just done the entire procedure right then and made the money and gone home but I truly felt like my well-being was all that mattered in the end.

The value for an American getting as much work as I had done is absolutely undeniable. I am currently trying to talk my mother into coming down for some quality-of-life work.

June 20, 2022, 2 of 2 Full Mouth Restorations 2021 - 2022; To Whom It May Concern: This correspondence is to explain that I have been very busy finishing my 2 of 2 full mouth reconstructions by a highly skilled, very experienced professional Juan Funes, DDS, Surgeon and Patient Services Award 2019 Winner from Tijuana, Mexico. Prepping and placing 23 crowns, including 4 implants, two extractions with bone graph, 4 Flights April 2021 to June 2022.

I have a very extraordinarily complex medical history caused by ME/CTE severe dry mouth causing all my teeth to rot out in one-year 2002. After my first full mouth rehabilitation 19 crowns, two extractions and a bridge in Mexicali, Mexico 11/2002 I have had 13 additional discounted 60% crowns and multiple filling prepped and placed by dentists ending 2/2018. I contacted two dentists in Tijuana, Mexico for 2 of 2 full mouth reconstructions February 3, 2021.

Within minutes I received a phone call from Luis Mares, patient coordinator from Funsmiles Dental Clinic at 5:20 PM explaining how much better Juan Funes, DDS was than any of the other dentists in Tijuana. The other dentists require their patients to walk across the border, find their own transportation to and from the dental clinic.
Repeated visits, by different dentists, waiting hours in line to walk back across the border. You are expected to find a place to stay and eat in San Diego for five days the first of many roundtrip Flights. The other dentists do not provide rides from the San Diego Airport across the border and back to the airport.

Juan Funes, DDS 54 years old is a very well-known five-star dentist having 28 years of experience and speaks 95% English.
Luis greatly encouraged me to go to their website and read their reviews. It is all a matter of booking a flight from Portland PDX to San Diego Airport and they will take care of everything from there. Luis texted, emailed, and called me with all the information regarding my ride from the San Diego Airport across the border, and to my very nice and clean hotel. Luis provided rides to the dentist office, Calimax grocery store to get dozens of Navel Oranges and back to my very nice hotel. The hotel had free all you can eat breakfast, three kinds of fresh fruit on plates, freshly squeezed orange juice, hot coffee and other beautifully prepared hot processed foods that I don't eat.

Luis oversees delivering the teeth impressions to the lab, picking up the crowns and implant materials and returning any crowns that had to be redone. Dr. Funes will send crowns back to the lab to have them redone. Most dentists will accept minor infections and don't send them back. What is your opinion on all this?

I live in New York State. I had to have two dental implants and two crowns that needed to be done. The price the dentist back here quoted me was outrageous. I decided to try to go to Tijuana which is close to San Diego where my brother and sister in law live. They have gone to Mexico for doctors appointments so I thought I would inquire. I found a great dentist in Tijuana Dr Juan Funes.

His prices were extremely reasonable and saved me a lot of money. He speaks fluent English and Spanish. He and his staff are wonderful. He is a very skilled patient dentist and explains everything to you thoroughly. I am going back to finish with my two crowns in July. I would not hesitate to go back to him to have any future dental work completed. You won't regret it! You will love him and his staff!

In Oregon, my home state, I was told I needed an extraction & implant for one molar that would cost $7K. I heard great reviews from a friend who had dental work done by Dr. Funes, so I made my appointment.

After a thorough exam & a series of x-rays, Dr. Funes explained an implant was NOT necessary and charged me a small fee for the office visit. I am so thankful, Dr. Funes is an HONEST man! He could easily have done unnecessary work, but he did not. Very rare to find such honesty. I will definitely come back when I have future dental needs and HIGHLY recommend Dr. Funes!

After three trips to Tijuana, my husband has a new smile thanks to Dr. Funes and a mouth full of dental implants. We were apprehensive to go out of the country for his implants, but Dr. Funes and his staff were 1st class all the way. From arranging drivers, hotels and providing outstanding dentistry we are happy with the process and outcome. Not to mention Dr. Funes was nearly $24,000 less than implants in the USA.
