The care and attention I received was the first rateMaxine, UK, 30 09 17

I would like to express my thanks towards Jean Paul Demajo and the team at Dental and Implantology in Malta. To anyone living in the UK, who is contemplating travelling overseas for dental implants, I would not hesitate to recommend his services. 4 months previous to my visit to Malta, I had two teeth removed due to an infected root canal. I found it difficult to eat and soon realized that missing teeth made me miserable. I had enquired about Dental Implants at a clinic in the UK and had been told that I possibly need a bone graft and/or a sinus lift. It all sounded unpleasant, scary and expensive. (Quoted £5,600) I decided not to go ahead with the procedure. In May 2017, I was visiting Malta on a 5-day vacation. Upon reading a magazine article previously about dental care overseas and I decided to make enquiries regarding implant surgery. I emailed the Demajo Dental Clinic. The response was speedy and I was invited to a free consultation to discuss the possibility of 2 dental implants. The clinic is impressive. Modern, bright decor combined with high technology and state of the art equipment. When I met Jean-Paul, his friendly professional manner put me instantly at ease. In order to give an accurate diagnosis regarding bone graft and sinus lift, he recommended that I have a CT scan. Within minutes I could see a full scan of my skull and teeth. Jean-Paul pointed out that I did not need a bone graft or a sinus lift and showed me where the implants would be placed. He explained the procedure and I decided to go ahead with the treatment. Within an hour I had the screws fitted and relaxed in a personal, very comfortable recovery room. I felt no pain or discomfort. When Jean-Paul felt that I was fully recovered, I was free to enjoy the day. He gave me a 7-day course of antibiotics to take as a precaution to infection. I traveled back to the UK the day after the impant surgery and had no further complications or issues. Jean-Paul emailed two days later to check all was well. 4 months later, September 2017. I flew back to Malta to have the teeth fitted. I was given two appointments, two days apart from one another. The first, to take an impression of my mouth so the teeth could be made. The second to fit them. Whilst on the first visit, I decided to have my teeth whitened, this took and hour and was worth it, the results were amazing. I also had a new crown made for a tooth that needed one and decided that I would pay extra and have full porcelain teeth and crown which were better quality. My second visit all teeth and crowns fitted. A gum shield was made so I could whiten my teeth from home and keep them looking good. I am very more than pleased with my new teeth. The care and attention I received when I was at the clinic was the first rate, including the after treatment, all be it by email, but even so, if I had any questions or concerns I knew Jean-Paul would answer them personally.

Once I got inside the actual dental clinic everything was absolutely state-of-the-artHilary, UK, 22 05 18

This clinic is actually attached to the hotel where I have a timeshare. I spoke to others who’d used the dentist and thought I’d meet with him myself to see what he was about. I was given a quote for the dental implant at the consultation and thought it was a reasonable price. The same procedure could easily have cost me three thousand pounds in the UK, but I was charged half of that in Malta. I had the procedure here largely because of the cost. I’m so happy with the results and would be delighted to promote the clinic! I’ll be honest, when I walked through the front door, I didn’t have very high expectations (the hotel was still under reconstruction at the time). Once I got inside the actual dental clinic everything was absolutely state-of-the-art. The place is superb and they have everything you could want. I also believe the quality of the treatment and service was higher than anything I’ve received in my home country. First, they needed to put the post in, and then I had to go home to let it settle. I went back to have the tooth inserted afterwards. My dental implants was a two-visit procedure. Definitely a 5-star experience.

Dental Implants
The process is based on a process of integration of titanium or zirconia to the surrounding bone. This allows the new replacement tooth or teeth to have a very strong and stable base, maintaining the surrounding bone. This is the reason why implants give you the comfort, functionality and beauty of healthy teeth. In order to understand how implants work it is important to appreciate the way in which healing takes place. When a tooth is taken out it leaves a hole in the gum which fills up with a blood clot. Within two months the hole in the jaw is covered with gum, slowly over the next six months the bone fills the hole completely. The healing of implants depends on this natural process. Traditional dentistry, which relies on bridges, partial and complete dentures, simply cannot compare to the “good as new” quality that advanced implant technology can give you. Teeth are rarely lost today, because every effort is made to save them. There are a number of reasons why teeth may need to be taken out.• Dental DiseaseWhen very little of the tooth remains because of a lot of decay. For example root filled teeth with failed post crowns or broken teeth.• Gum DiseaseThe supporting bone around the tooth is lost due to pocketing and infection, in some cases even leading to tooth mobility.• Unsuccessful Root canal therapyTeeth that have been root canal treated can be prone to persistent infection resulting in a poor prognosis and are often removed.Implant therapy is the replacement of the root with an artificial root that is made from titanium or zirconia. The procedure can be used to replace one tooth, several teeth or all the teeth. <

Without my denture l would have had a lot of trouble eatingColin, Croatia, 05 07 19

l broke a denture and contacted the clinic. They said come over ASAP. I did, and they said the denture could be repaired, and they sent it to the technician. l went back at 7:00 pm and although l had to wait (which they warned me l might have to), the repaired dentures arrived at about 7:25 pm, repaired. A good repair job. I'm totally happy with being fitted in, and the dentures repaired, as l was being picked up to go to the airport at 9:00 am the following day back to the UK, and flying out to Croatia the following day. Without my denture l would have had a lot of trouble eating. 10/10
