About Finchley Dental Lounge

Finchley Dental Lounge is a Private Dental Practice run by owner, Dr Rob Durling who has 20+ years experience as a dentist.  We Provide all forms of dental treatment and we are as transparent as possible with regard to costs, which can be found on our website.  We pride ourselves on good patient communication and high quality dental treatment. Alongside Rob, our associate dentist Amanda Rosenbaum who has 30+ years experience as a dentist, joined Finchley Dental Lounge in 2017. We also have a hygienist, Mandana, who can see patients directly without the need to see a dentist first (Direct Access).

I approve of the way the treatment was carried out

I had a Dental Checkup appointment at the Finchley Dental Lounge clinic and I was happy with the appointment's conclusion. I felt the check up was very thorough and detailed and I approve of the way that it was carried out.

The service and treatment at the clinic was fairly good, the price was not too expensive (although I would have appreciated it if it was a little cheaper) so I was satisfied.

Air Abrasion - AirFlow Polishing (add on to hygiene, extra £25)

Airflow Polish is a hygiene treatment that has been designed to deep clean the teeth and gums and will also clean the hard-to-reach places. It works by spraying a high-powered combination of compressed air, water, and sodium bicarbonate to jet clean the teeth and gums of stains and dental plaque. The jet is not only capable of polishing the surfaces of your teeth and removing plaque build-up, it can also reach up to 5mm into Periodontal pockets for more efficient cleaning. The powerful jet is an upgrade (£25) from a normal scale and polish session. In comparison to a normal scale and polish, Airflow is more successful at removing persistent stains allowing the natural brighter enamel to resurface, producing the dental refresh you are looking for.

      Having qualified from Manchester University in 2002 and after many years practising on the Kings Road in Chelsea, I opened Finchley Dental Lounge in 2010. I love transforming people’s attitudes towards dentistry and my mission is to prove that dentists don’t have to be scary! I am experienced in cosmetic dentistry and whitening procedures, denture-work and orthodontics and completed the Chris Orr course in Advanced Cosmetic and Restorative Dentistry.

      Hi I’m Mandana,

      I qualified from ‘Barts and the London’ in 2011 as a dental hygienist and therapist. I am really happy to be a part of Finchley Dental Lounge. My role is to assist in the prevention and treatment of oral diseases and in particular periodontal or gum disease. I am passionate about supporting patients in treating and monitoring their oral health. This basically means that I care about your teeth and gums and want you to care about them as well!!

      Outside of work, I am a qualified personal trainer and spend lots of time in the gym or outdoors, leading a healthy lifestyle.

      Mandana is here every Friday am & pm, and alternate Thursday am.

      Hi, I’m Amanda.

      I qualified as a Dentist in 1991 from UCH and I joined Rob’s team at Finchley Dental Lounge in 2017.  I take great pride in caring for my patients and feel privileged that so many have been with me for such a long period of time.

      I enjoy all aspects of dentistry, especially treating families, nervous patients and children of all ages. I strongly believe that everyone can manage dental treatment, but at their own pace and with the right Dentist.

      When I am not working, I am a busy mum of four children and any time I have left over, I am in the garden.
