I recently completed full dental implant treatment in Istanbul with Dr. Cem Baysal.
After researching clinics across several countries - including Indonesia, Vietnam, Thailand, and Singapore - we chose this clinic for its quality, transparency, and surgical expertise.
I’m posting this personal review to help other patients considering treatment in Turkey - as finding the right clinic can be overwhelming.

It became obvious that many were paid or polished PR, and that a lot of the genuine negative experiences stemmed from poor after-care - not necessarily from bad dentists. Let’s be honest: 90% of post-procedure problems start when after-care slips.

This review is 100% my own experience.

After months researching dental options, visiting Indonesia, Vietnam, Thailand, and consulting in Singapore, I wanted to know what was possible, what each clinic would offer, and how it aligned with what I wanted.

My prerequisites were clear:

Full transparency - no sales games.

A procedure that aligned with my own research.

I’m not new to dental trauma - I had a long-standing phobia due to past experiences where local anaesthetic didn’t work.
If your tolerance is high, you feel everything - and dentists often don’t understand that.
This led me to avoid the chair for years, relying on personal dental hygiene.

The procedure I wanted? Full extraction.
Radical for some, practical for me.
I wanted zero future dental stress - no more decay, no more patchwork, no more dreaded dentist chairs.

Many dentists resist this philosophy 'save every tooth' - my choice was clear
- and I was ready to commit.

That’s when I found 'Care in Turkey' via social media.
On the surface - they looked slick.
But once inside? A big mismatch.

*Communications through third-party agents.

*No direct access to the dentist.

*A tourist dental factory.

The final red flag: after several consultations and an agreement on the procedure - I realized that the dentist promoted online wouldn’t be doing the surgery.
A total waste of time. After 5 days in Istanbul, I was frustrated.

I hit the pavement. I mapped the areas of highest dental concentration in Istanbul and started over.
Some clinics looked ok but didn’t feel right.

I then found Dr. Baysal - ranked as 'best dentist in Turkey'.
I checked the reviews - serious patients, real cases, years of consistent results. No factory feel. I walked in.

That’s where my real journey began.

When I first met Dr. Baysal, I knew I’d found the right match: transparency, honesty, and flexibility.

He was honest about risks, including my request for full general anaesthetic, which he explained thoroughly.

Like many people I try to found the best dentist. After a lot of consultation in Istanbul I was disappointed and decided to go home. All doctors said different things and I am nurse and understand in in medicine a little bit.) I was looking in internet and in last moment found Dr Cem Baysal. There are dentists and then there are dentists. Dr Cem Baysal is the best. He is a master of his trade. I first went to this gent following work previously carried out by amateurs. He had the job of rectifying someone else's mistakes. I had no bite and was damaging myself every time I ate. He is fantastic.

My husband has now been treated and had full mouth treatment. Bridges veneers and some implantations. He has done a marvellous job and the work was above our expectations. He is a brilliant practitioner. He is not the cheapest. You get what you pay for. I know as I had to pay twice to rectify a botched job. If you need treatment you cannot go wrong with Dr Cem Baysal.

5-Star Review: Life-Changing Experience!

I had an incredibly positive experience with my recent dental treatment, and I feel compelled to share it! Two different UK dentists had recommended extracting my tooth, claiming it was beyond saving. Unsure about this decision, I decided to seek a second opinion and traveled to Istanbul to see Dr Cem Baysal.

To my amazement, Dr Cem Baysal was able to save my tooth! The procedure was quick, professional, and relatively pain-free
Not only did they provide a clear explanation of my options, but they also used advanced techniques that avoid the need for extraction. I was so impressed by the care and expertise that I received.

If you're in a situation where you're unsure about a dental diagnosis or treatment, I highly recommend getting a second opinion especially if you have the opportunity to visit Istanbul. The level of care, professionalism, and modern techniques I experienced were world-class. My tooth is saved, and I couldn't be more grateful!

Terrific team, terrific results, no-nonsense professionals. Dr.Cem Baysal prepared the tooth and a few days later the awesome new crown was properly placed. I found my dentist 7,000 km from home (Cape Cod, MA). Turkeye and its friendly beautiful people are a wonderful treat.

A lifelong victim of prenatal antibiotic teeth yellowing, I also had a mouthful of ugly multicoloured fillings and crowns, one or two of which had become bothersome.

Impressed by Dr Baysal's CV and portfolio of satisfied customers, I contacted Cem via Whatclinic and received a super-rapid response via WhatsApp. He patiently fielded my questions over a few days before I took the plunge.

I was all in for a full set of zirconium crowns. Once I arrived at the surgery, and following a short trip across the road for 3D scans, Cem identified three infections that would require extractions and implants. I wasn't surprised. It was decided that my two healthy wisdom teeth should be left alone.

I was then asked to choose which zirconium I wanted him to use. There are a range of zirconium products that will depend on your budget. I elected to have the high-end KATANA zirconium crowns for their variable translucency and natural look.

My teeth were drilled back to the core and temporary crowns fitted. After waiting a few days, the permanent crowns were ready. Next, the extractions were done and the implants were drilled in. A temporary bridge was fitted over the implants and 4 months passed before one final trip to fit crowns and abutments to the implants that were now bonded to the bone and fully healed.

There was a degree of sensitivity to the new crowns at the back for several weeks, but this is expected and gradually recedes. Inserting implants is quite invasive and you will likely require anti-inflammatory painkillers for just a few days, which you will be prescribed.

I now have a beautiful mouthful of natural-looking white teeth without screaming it out loud like some can. Thanks to the skill and artistry of Dr Cem Baysal, they are perfectly symmetrical. Each tooth is precision-engineered for a perfect fit. Floss slides between each tooth just as it should. No gap is too wide and no gap is too tight. Cem is a perfectionist. He is vastly experienced, highly skilled, and a thoroughly nice guy. If, like me, your priority is to find a skillful dentist who is also an experienced implantologist, then your search ends with this review.

Treatment: 28 KATANA zirconium crowns, three extractions, and three implants.

I highly recommend going to Dr. Baysal for your dental care. He cares about his patients and advises them to do only what’s needed. So, he won’t push you to do unneeded work, just to make money. He saved us (my husband and I), lots of money. And we are very grateful for his professionalism and honesty.

I have been going to him for 6 years now. He deserves the highest rating there is. And I will always recommend going to him for your dental care.

I had an issue with my gum and old crowns, I have been prescribed antibiotics for almost a year in the UK which didn’t help!!

Dr Baysal was able to identify the problem from the moment I showed him the photos. I traveled from the UK to Istanbul to get the dental treatment. Dr Baysal has his special technique using shoulder preparation which fixed a long term problem I suffered with. The result was amazing and very natural, in less than one week my gum issue was cured!! He even made temporary crowns which looked great even with the colour match!!

I was impressed watching Dr Baysal carving the temporary crowns while speaking to me and I was thinking what a real artist!!

It’s not easy to find a good dentist, I give myself credit for doing the right research to find a brilliant, honest dentist. When I say honest I mean it, he advised against doing unnecessary dental treatment( which means I would have to pay more if I didn’t follow Dr Baysal advice ) and was fully focused on what treatment really needed.

In addition to that, the clinic was easy to find and sparkle clean, appointments were on time, communication was great, a dedicated team, everything was perfect!

Listen, people, I know you’re looking through the reviews now (like I was), trying to sort out the best choice, not sure if the reviews or recommendations are even real. Well, stop looking: my man Cem Baysal is a true artist. I came to him for an implant, but he checked out the x-rays and told me he could save the root (and me money) with another procedure and replace the crown, which he did quickly and painlessly. When selecting the colour, he even called in one of his clinicians to consult, and the two sat there deliberating like art critics in front of a Rothko. The result was phenomenal. It both looks perfect and natural at the same time. I am psyched.

I don't normally leave reviews but I'm leaving this one as I found Dr Cem after reading these reviews. The review in question said "Stop looking any further, you've found your man" and I would like to second this opinion. Here is my story. I needed a tooth removal and an implant placed to support a crown consisting of 2 teeth. I went to my UK implant dentist (who had placed 2 previous implants) and the quote was £4300, using porcelain crowns. I would have to wait 3 months for the 1st appointment and the whole procedure would take approx 10 months (3 months waiting for 1st appointment of tooth removal, 3 months to let the jaw bone heal and then place the implant, 4 months to let the implant bond to the jaw bone) so I decided to look abroad for a cheaper, faster service and I found Dr Cem. I sent him a WhatsApp message with photos explaining what needed doing and received great communication, answering all my questions. I explained to him that I didn't want bright white 'Turkey teeth' but natural-looking crowns and he reassured me.

I asked how quickly he could fit me in and he could see me the following week. There would be no charge for the tooth removal (£350 in my UK quote) and he would be able to place the implant immediately after removing the tooth. I initially asked for a price for a Straumann implant (Rolls Royce of implants, so I thought) but after doing some homework, I settled for a Megagen implant (Skoda of implants, very good and successful but cheaper, 700 euros including bone graft ) and approximately 2 weeks after first contacting Dr Cem found myself in Istanbul with my daughter to have the implant fitted. Like many other reviews here I had very little pain, probably 0.5 on a scale of 0-10, and went for a meal with my daughter that evening. I came home, kept my mouth scrupulously clean and it healed very quickly, although I should add that the dissolvable stitches didn't fully dissolve so I had to ask my UK dentist to remove them. This was a little bit embarrassing but she did do it and didn't charge for it, probably because it took her less than 5 minutes! Dentists are advertising online who provide this service if your dentist refuses to do it for you. Last week, 3.5 months after having the implant placed, I returned to Istanbul with my wife for a week's dental holiday. On Monday we visited Dr Cem for the impressions and he suggested that rather than just having the 2 crowns, why didn't I also replace the other 4 front crowns because what was the point in having 2 amazing teeth alongside 4, 20-year-old goofy, poorly fitted porcelain crowns and I decided that he was right and at £340 each for zirconium crowns, which are between £600-£800 each in the UK, why not? On Wednesday we had a quick check of the 6 crowns to check they fitted OK etc and finally on Friday he fitted my new teeth and I am delighted with them.

They look very natural, fit up to the gums, aren't goofy, like my old ones, aren't metallic like my old porcelain crowns and being zirconium, are practically indestructible. If you do have the option, I would recommend getting the work done over winter as flights and hotels are much cheaper and Istanbul is quieter (albeit, still heaving in the tourist areas!!). In summary, Dr Cem is a fantastic, highly qualified, highly experienced implantologist and you don't need to look any further.

A modern clinic and Dr. Cem is a true specialist a very patient doctor and he can easily read people. I chose Dr. Cem because of his experience and his reviews. I had to read someone similar to my issue and the first thing that was highlighted to me was "After seeing Dr. Cem Baysal I was confirmed that I do not need bone graft " and this was the very first moment that made me contact Dr. Cem.

I truly recommend him to everyone, especially to nervous people.

All discussion until the first session was made via WhatsApp and email, I even was recommended a clinic in Birmingham for a complete dental tomography, and this is how Dr. Cem was capable of confirming that I don't need a dental bone graft. My surgery had 2 sessions, I saw him once in April ( 6 days) and then on 16 October (9 days), on 24 October I had my perfect tooth, a little bit nervous about it as the colour wasn't matching, but with Dr Cem professionalism and advise all was fixed.
