I would just like to say thank you for the way my appointment went last Friday (09/06/2023). I had been experiencing a nagging ache from a broken / fractured wisdom tooth for 3 to 4 weeks. My dentist referred me to the team at Leagrave as he had experienced trouble extracting it. I had a session of intravenous sedation and the tooth was out in around 30 minutes. Today less than 24 hours after the appointment is the first day I have not had to take tablets for pain. Thank you to all at Leagrave for the service you gave.

Teeth cleaning—usually performed by a dental hygienist– is a very effective procedure for removing tartar (mineralized plaque) that may develop even with careful brushing and flossing, especially in areas that are difficult to reach in routine brushing. Because it is essential to remove the tartar below the gum line and above it, getting your teeth professionally cleaned by a dental hygienist at least twice a year is a must. Teeth cleaning with special dental tools removes harmful plaque, calculus (hardened plaque), and bacteria that can’t be removed at home by simply brushing or flossing– regardless of how vigorously you brush or floss. Professional teeth cleaning will include tooth scaling and root planning and tooth polishing and debridement if too much tartar has accumulated and can prevent cavities, gingivitis, and periodontal disease. The shortest hygiene session is around 20 minutes, while the longest lasts about one hour but is reserved for only the most extreme cases, and these sessions can last shorter the more frequently you get them. As a true time saver, we recommend getting the treatment every half-year check-up, which is a necessary part of your oral health and is highly recommended. If you go here, there is a bell to ring rather than just enter the premises. Why the receptionist didn't just open the door when I was trying to get in I do not know. I went for a consultation to see what the best option was for a missing tooth. You pay before you go. The staff were friendly. The dentist is lovely putting me at ease, explaining what he was doing whilst teaching his staff at the same time. Nice manner about him. He then took the time to show me what options were available to me and how much each would cost. The clinic was state of the art, modern with the latest tech to make the job easier. The view was stunning. I would recommend the experience to others.
