I had sleeve gastrectomy surgery and my family members had eclipse balloons. It was a wonderful experience for us with the whole medical team led by Professor Ali, Nurse Sude, translator Mohammed, Ali Musthapa and nurses at Ward 3. They've been very meticulous and professional in attending to our medical needs. I would recommend their services to anyone who needs such professional medical attention and hygiene at very affordable prices. 😀

I am writing this review 6 weeks post-op so I can share my whole opinion from lead up to being back on solid food. When I first enquired I got an extremely swift reply and organised a phone call conversation when it was convenient for me. Which was amazing, after having all of my questions and queries answered I decided to give myself a few weeks extra to think about it which Novamed was extremely accommodating with, they were checking on me rather than pestering me, I also had consultations with other clinics in turkey but after I had said I was unsure the other clinics stopped messaging me which novamed did not. Once I had paid my deposit novamed put all of the plans in place and once I had sent over my flight details I had confirmation of everything and my surgery date, during the time of waiting for surgery I did have second thoughts which my coordinator Jade was very kind and reassured me but also did tell me that if I really didn’t want to have it done that she supported me regardless which I thought was amazing. Then was flight day, after getting out of the airport at the other end there was a lovely man who organised the taxi to the hotel, the transfer was clean and the driver had seen that we had been travelling for a long time so offered us water which was extremely kind. Once we got to the hotel there was a small issue that my companion was not on the booking but novemed sorted this very quickly and we were ready to prepare. I flew into Turkey on the Monday and my surgery was on the Wednesday so we had 2 nights at the hotel which had a sauna, swimming pool and lots of facilities which helped ease my nerves prior to the surgery. On surgery day we were picked up very early in the morning and taken to the hospital which was called BHT clinic, it didn’t feel like the hospital which I was used to in the UK, it was marble, quiet and felt very professional, we were greeted at the door by our coordinator and she took us straight to be checked in at the hospital with their admin team, which was quick and efficient, then we went to see the dietician, who handled the money and took my height and weight as well as helping me go through the extensive consent forms as well as informing me of the procedure that would happen if anything didn’t go to plan which really eased my mind. The pre op tests were very thorough, blood test, ECG, ultrasound, chest x-ray and finally the endoscopy which was done while I was sedated. After all of the tests, I went up to the anaesthetists office and they gave me the final okay for surgery. All of these tests took less than an hour and I didn’t have to wait for anything. Once into my beautiful room, they came in gave me my surgery clothes and inserted my cannula, I am terrified of needles but this nurse was amazing and had the cannula in in less than 10 seconds which was amazing. Then I was taken down to surgery, in the lift I did get quite emotional as it was my first time ever going under anaesthesia but everyone was reassuring and trying to distract me and make me smile which I loved. Also, my companion was allowed in the lift with me so I could be with my friend all the way up until I was in the theatre which was amazing as they knew I was very nervous. When I got into the theatre I was still upset and one of the lovely nurses was speaking to me very calmly and was reassuring me the whole time. Then I woke up 2 hours later and was in a little bit of pain which they did prepared me for and there were lots of nurses with me which really reassured me. After completing the leak test and being given the all-clear, my drains were taken out which was painless. I was soon given the all-clear to go back to the hotel to recover as the hospital could get quite noisy at night (which is understandable) and the dietician came in and gave me a full rundown of my diet plan, goodie bag as well as giving me all of my travel documents and my medicines with my fit to fly letter. Once I was home it was liquid diet for 2 weeks and every week I was sent a WhatsApp with different meal plans and advice from the surgeon and dietician which I was very impressed with. They have continued to send me messages with meal ideas and how to hit all of my goals which I think is amazing. All in all, I cannot recommend them enough, from start to finish they have been angels and they are so dedicated, from the receptionists to the nurses to the surgeon himself it has all been amazing and they are a credit to themselves!!!

I was treated very, very well by Efe, Alexandra and the surgeon, Dr. Altan Tekin. I had Gynecomastia surgery. It was excellent value for money and the hospital itself was very clean. My surgery went exactly as expected with no issues. Everyone who I came into contact with at the hospital was very helpful and friendly.

I had my gastric sleeve fitted through booking surgery in Istanbul. Every member of staff was so caring, helpful and attentive at all times. The rooms were spacious, clean and comfortable. I definitely chose the right place to have the surgery and cannot recommend booking surgery enough.

I lost 15kg after one month! The experience with doctor Metin Karadeniz was perfect. I had professional help and the hospital is very nice. Thanks to Sezen (my translator and contact person) and Deniz (my dietician). It’s a very professional and friendly environment. At this point, I want to thank Umut, who is and will be my coordinator for even up to a year post-operation, for making this journey and whole process such a comfortable experience. Umut went above and beyond to ensure everything is just perfect. I am still baffled about everything because I didn’t expect such a top-notch experience. Thank you, Umut, from the bottom of my heart! Another person I want to credit here is Doctor Erman Menekse; he did an amazing job. I never expected such results. He made the impossible possible! He made me feel heard and understood from the first consultation. He did a brilliant job, and I am super happy with the result! After my experience with Vanity, I can assure you they stand for quality, comfort, and aesthetics! In fact, I never stayed at a nicer clinic before. I would choose Vanity over and over again. What a journey it has been! Obesity patients will understand me quite well, the process we are going through is really not easy. I met Mrs Petek from Medivia in a period when my weight and my psychology were in a horrible condition. My journey started by first getting to know Medivia general surgery doctor Mrs Petek, who understood the psychological condition I was in and she walked me through patiently step by step all the processes that are waiting for me. I was welcomed at Istanbul airport and the rest was easy. I had a very successful Gastric Sleeve operation and can say I was very satisfied with the doctor and postoperative nurse care process as well as my nutrition and diet specialist. I recommend Medivia to anyone who wants to have this operation. The team is very experienced and it is important to be in good hands. Thanks once again!

I have been to Catch Life on two occasions this year. The first was for trifocal lens surgery in July, which was great, and now I no longer have to wear glasses. The treatment was fantastic, and Batu and Mari were amazing. I then returned in October for a facelift, neck lift, and upper and lower eyelid surgery. I am now 6 weeks post-surgery, and the results are fantastic. Mari was always there at the end of the phone, and the team was amazing from the moment I landed. You are taken care of, and nothing is too much trouble. Andread, one of the coordinators, was so kind and so helpful, and a big shout-out to Gilop, our driver. They even took us out for a day of sightseeing—nothing was too much trouble. As for my surgery, Dr. Manav is an amazing surgeon, and I am so pleased with the results. In fact, I’ve already booked to return in May next year for a tummy tuck and arm lift. The cost was great—I could never afford it here in the UK. They are coming to London in January, so if you are thinking of having any treatment, book and go see them!

I would highly recommend AYT Clinic. From the very start of looking into a gastric sleeve, I was greeted with a message from Asli. Who became my co-ordinator, she answered all of my questions, any time of the day. She never pressured me book the surgery, she was patient and waited for me to say when I wanted it. I went to have a gastric sleeve, and she was lovely and helpful and took me through everything I needed, for the pre-op testing and her English language for translating. I was picked up from the airport and taken back which no issues. The nurses in the hospital anre excellent and are always checking on you, whenever you need them they come straight away to help. Dr Erdem Can Yardimci was my surgeon and he was amazing and clearly great at his job and made me feel comfortable to perform the surgery. They are professional and smart at AYT and nothing is too much for them to help with. I can’t fault my experience and I am so glad I chose AYT Clinic.

Very professional and genuinely lovely guy Dr Suleyman was recommended to me by a friend who has personally used him. Following many many hours of research I failed to find one bad review for this surgeon. I then met him face to face when he visited my home city. I knew following that meeting that I was going to be in good hands. The surgery went very well and he was always very professional doing daily checks on me. I would recommend Dr Suleyman Akilli to anyone thinking of having a gastric sleeve in Turkey

I went to grand medical in March 2024 for a gastric sleeve, I had the most pleasant experience from start to finish. My personal assistant Mel he is also doctors assistant was absolutely fantastic, he picked me up from the airport and drove me to the hospital, translated all questions and also took me shopping when I was back on my feet. Dr Osman was great, a very skilful surgeon and checked in with me everyday. The nurses was great, translated through google translate and delivered high care whilst on the ward. Everyone was very friendly and always attended to you needs. I’m so glad I chose grandmedical, I lost half a stone in the first week, and would definitely recommend grand medical hospital.

Seven months ago, I had my gastric sleeve. Everything was very soothing. I went to Istanbul only for my surgery. To be very honest, I was very nervous about my surgery, but when I came to the clinic, I noticed that they provide their best services at a meager rate. All the staff members and doctors are concerned about the health of their patients. Within one week of hospital and & hotel stay, their clinic staff members very much cared about my health status, and I lost 42 kg in seven months. I must say this is the best experience ever in my life.

I travelled to Izmir, Turkey on 12th May 2025 and had my surgery on 13th May. I had an extensive thigh and lower buttock lift, alongside a breast lift. From the moment I arrived and even now that I have returned to the UK, the care I have received from JFS Clinic has been outstanding. I undertook a lot of research to identify who I wanted to conduct my surgery and narrowed it down to 3 clinics, which included Dr Onur Evren Yılmaz at JFS. Out of the 3 clinics, the coordinator at JFS was exceptional. Her name is Illy, she provided me with a video call and thoroughly answered all of my questions in a very timely manner, even when she needed to go away and consult with Dr Onur. Illy was one of the reasons I chose to book with JFS. Dr Onur Evren Yılmaz was my surgeon, and I met with him the day before my surgery so he could discuss what my expectations were and complete some preliminary markups on my body. He, too, was very thorough and explained everything. The surgery went well,l and I saw Dr Onur 3 more times after my surgery, where he assessed my wounds and changed my dressings. I am very pleased with the results so far. It is still early days, but I am healing well and have had no issues. Illy continues to check in on my progress via video call and WhatsApp regularly. Everything about my surgery experience has been positive, from Illy to the hospital/hotel staff, my surgeon, Dr Onur and Mr Kaa, who was my companion, I cannot recommend JFS enough!
