I am 6 days PO I don’t regret it one bit all staff at Cyprus central where amazing and they really look after you I was lucky to have an amazing nurse called Ozgen who went above and beyond for me. Also the cardiologist was amazing she found a problem with my heart that I didn’t know about and carried out more tests and explained everything in detail to myself. I received all my paperwork in English no problem and I was given all the correct stuff to come home with shakes medication etc…. My partner came with me he was given meals at every point and the hotel was lovely. The first few days are not easy but it gets easier just have to ride it out. Olympia team are amazing I am so grateful for all they have done for me and a massive thanks to Op. Dr Cem Arslan who has changed my life for the better. Defo worth every penny.

I had my gastric sleeve fitted through booking surgery in Istanbul. Every member of staff was so caring, helpful and attentive at all times. The rooms were spacious, clean and comfortable. I definitely chose the right place to have the surgery and cannot recommend booking surgery enough.

I would highly recommend AYT Clinic. From the very start of looking into a gastric sleeve, I was greeted with a message from Asli. Who became my co-ordinator, she answered all of my questions, any time of the day. She never pressured me book the surgery, she was patient and waited for me to say when I wanted it. I went to have a gastric sleeve, and she was lovely and helpful and took me through everything I needed, for the pre-op testing and her English language for translating. I was picked up from the airport and taken back which no issues. The nurses in the hospital anre excellent and are always checking on you, whenever you need them they come straight away to help. Dr Erdem Can Yardimci was my surgeon and he was amazing and clearly great at his job and made me feel comfortable to perform the surgery. They are professional and smart at AYT and nothing is too much for them to help with. I can’t fault my experience and I am so glad I chose AYT Clinic.

The level of care was to a very high standard, every step of the process was explained in detail, the follow up care was brilliant, even a year put they still offering support and advice, the surgery itself was terrifying however Dr. Süleyman Akıllı put me at ease with his calm manner and professionalism, all my worries were eased when we met and the surgery went smooth with no complications. Amazed at the level of care and hospitality given by Irem and those at the hospital. Am shocked at how efficient everything was and no time was wasted between the procedures and seeing the Dr. Everyone was extremely helpful and Irem was with us every step of the way and took tremendous care of us. She took care of everything for us. From the endoscopy, colonoscopy, ultrasound, blood tests, and pharmacy visit she was with us every step of the way and even recommended shops near our hotel to purchase food and the diet needed for these procedures. She is a gem. The hospital was immaculate.

I chose to get ESG Max done with Dr Murat Ustun, after being referred by a friend and another medical doctor in Turkey. Dr Ustun speaks English fluently and has many years of experience with bariatric surgical procedures. While there were a couple of hiccups along the way, overall I had an outstanding experience, and would recommend Dr Ustun to anyone considering a bariatric procedure. The package I chose included transport to and from the airport, as well as a multi-night stay in a luxury hotel within walking distance of the hospital. I had an initial consult with him by Zoom, which was complimentary. He explained to me the benefits and risks of multiple options. We agreed on a date and finalised the reservation. Depending on the hospital in question, they might or might not require a 10 to 20% deposit. If available, I personally would recommend Liv Hospital in Vadistanbul. If you are travelling from outside of Turkey, I would advise travel insurance. My pre-operative evaluation was conducted the day before. The international hospital has staff and translators who speak varying degrees of English. I was instructed on when to start fasting, and I reported to the hospital the next morning. Liv is a private hospital, and I found it to be very clean, and it is also in a nice area of town. The staff were always friendly and helpful. Additionally, unlike some public hospitals, it was not overcrowded. Dr Ustun came and greeted me before the procedure. He was also present in the operating room after I woke up from anaesthesia. After I was back in my patient room later that day, he came to check on me and explain the results of my procedure. He also came back once per day to check in, until I left and went to the hotel. I have also had access to him by phone ever since the initial consultation, and he continued to follow up on my progress even after I left Turkey. I have been very impressed with his availability and dedication to follow-up care in looking after his patients. A couple of things I would clarify before having a procedure. First, make sure to inform them of any medications you take, and how long prior to the procedure they might need to be stopped. But also clarification on when it is safe to resume them. Additionally, unless administered by the hospital staff, if you are instructed to take any specific medications postoperatively, these will need to be purchased from a local pharmacy outside of the hospital. Personally, I would advise bringing with you any liquids you might consume as part of the postoperative diet. This might include things like protein powder, etc... By bringing them with you, this removes the hassle of trying to go out and shop for the things you want in local stores. If I need to have another procedure done in the future, I will most certainly choose Dr Ustun again. Furthermore, the anesthesiologist team was much better than the last time I went under anaesthesia. When I had surgery in the past, I woke up with a terrible sore throat, and it persisted for days. The nurses said it was because they had a tube down my throat to breathe for me. But when having ESG Max done at Liv, my throat felt completely fine as soon as I woke up.

I had my procedure in August 2023. Mel was amazing and supported me through the whole process. I stayed for 5 days and took my partner. The rooms were clean and cleaned 3 times a day. Everything was explained to me by Mel. The consultant took the time to constantly check on me and make sure I was ok.

This surgeon Dr onor is amazing! He’s not only a surgeon but an artist ! He creates your look individually and tailors the operation to you personally! He’s very caring for his patients, and his aftercare is second to none! I would not go anywhere else as I was scared going to turkey but luckily I researched a very professional surgeon and was not disappointed. I felt in safe hands . Outstanding . After having a gastric band fitted ten years ago it became very uncomfortable and I started gaining weight. After having no success with the NHS I was quoted £6200 to go privately in the UK Seeing that I was going on holiday to Turkey in June I called and spoke to Emsal at the Yucelen hospital. She was extremely professional and communicative and said the band could be removed by the surgeon Dr Aydin Keskin and suggested I could also have a gastric sleeve. Nearing the end of my holiday I went to the Yucelen hospital to have the band removed and a gastric sleeve procedure. I was greeted and picked up by a driver from the hospital and upon arrival was greeted by Emsal, and other staff members who were very reassuring kind and considerate which put all my anxiety and nerves At ease and I immediately knew I had made the right decision. I underwent the procedure and the aftercare was second to none During my stay at the hospital, I encountered no pain or discomfort and the surgeon Dr Aydin Keskin came to see me regularly as well as Emsal who always ensured I was comfortable and being looked after. I would definitely recommend the Yucelen Hospital after my experience they are second to none. I am now looking forward after the money I saved to buy a new wardrobe and being a new me.

Had my gastric sleeve treatment on 5th August after being unsure whether it was the right thing to do.
