From first contact with Leila my coordinator all the way through to arriving back home my treatment and care was exceptional. Leila arranged absolutely everything and was in contact with me the entire time, She was always so friendly and helpful and was happy to answer any questions I had.

The clinic and staff were superb, Dr Chem Arsalan and his ream were always very kind, willing and helpful and if I needed help they answered my button straight away.

Hotel for 2 days was extremely comfortable. I had everything that I needed from the hospital team and the hotel staff would pop by daily with tea coffee and water.

My flight home was delayed but that wasn't a problem; Leila rescheduled for me and I was able to stay at the hotel with no extra charge ...

Despite my own initial nerves and anxiety, everything went to plan. Even despite our flight delay. I can’t thank my coordinator and all at the Ozel Tusa Hospital especially Dr Arslan enough. The treatment was exceptional! I’m home and 8 days Post Op, feeling good and with the pre-post diet, I am already down almost 13kgs. Excited to see what the next few months look like 🥰

I can quite honestly say you will have nothing to worry about everything is planned in advance you can ask as many questions as you want.
From the moment I landed, I had the instructions on where to go my driver arrived within minutes I went straight from the airport to the hospital where I had an x-ray and was shown to my room. You cannot fault the rooms you are given my daughter was quite comfortable in the pull-out chair bed next to me various tests blood tests etc then the operation is the next day.

The facilities at the clinic are amazing.
My daughter's breakfast arrived bright and early the next morning but unfortunately, I was nil by mouth I had a couple more tests then I met Dr Cem Arslan who made me feel completely at ease. I went down for surgery that afternoon I have to admit I felt rough the first night but that was to be expected any translation problems I had were easily overcome with the use of Google Translate.

On the third day I was discharged and received all the medication that I required and a useful WhatsApp group was created to help me with any dietary needs or advice by the fifth day I was on my return flight home feeling a little sore but pleased I made the right choice.

Fantastic! I chose this clinic above others because of their communication was clear and prompt right from the first enquiry and it continues through to this day (8 days post-op). The facilities and care given to me during my stay in the hospital was second to none. Everything was arranged for me from the time I landed in Istanbul to the time I left to fly home - couldn't ask for anything more! My experience with the Olympia Health Group was amazing!! Excellent treatment, they have attended every single one of my needs and questions (which is saying a lot ‘cause I ask too many questions). I got a Gastric Sleeve surgery about a month ago and so far I’m loving the results. The took great care of me and my companion and I couldn’t be more happy. I had gastric sleeve surgery in October 2024. The contact with Olympia was great, with fast and efficient replies regardless of the time of day. The only confusion was when I was meant to start fasting as the pre-op information said from midnight before surgery but no one seemed to be able to explain if it was midnight Turkish time or English time. I was told I wasn’t allowed to drink water during this fasting period but when I arrived at the hospital and I had documents to read and sign it stated that I was water up to 2 hours before surgery. When I landed at Istanbul airport there were some issues with the transfer the man at the airport told me I wasn’t on the list and this took some time to sort. Arrived at the hospital quickly and everything was efficient with paperwork and pre-op tests. All the staff were great, I was very pleased when the doctor said I would be going in first. When out of surgery and returned to the room, the doctor and nurse were there but nothing was mentioned to my mum (who came with me) if the surgery was successful or not etc. That evening I was in a lot of pain, my mum asked the nurses for painkillers I was told I couldn’t have any until 8. Still suffering from the anaesthetic I was in and out of sleeping, about 9 I was begging for pain relief. My mum asked the nurse and she said she would be in shortly but no one came for 30 minutes, as my pain was getting worse my mum went again to find someone and the nurse said yes we are dealing with someone else and will be with you but my mum saw the nurse was playing a game on her phone, I didn’t get my pain killers until 10.30 pm. The nurses on Tuesday were on top of my painkillers and I suffered from high blood pressure which was monitored closely. The doctor visited again but I was still struggling to stay awake from the anaesthetic, he asked me why I looked like I was in pain and explained I was very tired and fell back to sleep but again nothing was said to my mum about my surgery. I never saw the doctor again so I assume my surgery went well. There was constantly a lot of nurses in the room at once talking to one another but no one introduced themself or why they were in the room. I met the dietitian on Wednesday which was all good. On Thursday the day of discharge, I again had high blood pressure which was monitored in the afternoon but when nurses swapped shifts my blood pressure wasn’t checked again. Thankfully I think I only had high blood pressure from the stress. I was very nervous about leaving the hospital for obvious reasons but also because I know Turkish taxi drivers can drive very chaotic but this driver was amazing no bumps whatsoever. The transfer to the hotel and to the airport I couldn’t fault. The majority of the staff during my stay were accommodating, including the cleaners and the people who brought the food around every time I saw them or they came into my room, they spoke to me regardless of the language barrier and always smiled.

The treatment was outstanding, the hospital was amazing, and we had someone to support with English. Food was not great for the person with you but your husband would go out into the town to eat. Aftercare is brilliant, when ever you contact you get an answer straight away. In 5 weeks I have lost 37lbs and I feel amazing x

I recently had my gastric sleeve surgery with Olympia Group, and the experience was truly exceptional. From start to finish, everything was handled with utmost care and professionalism. The transport arrangements were seamless, making my journey stress-free. The meals provided were nutritious and delicious, which was a pleasant surprise.

A special mention goes to the team for accommodating my mom with me during my stay. It made a world of difference to have her by my side, and the staff ensured she was comfortable throughout. Overall, I couldn’t have asked for a better experience.

We've just come back after the gastric sleeve operation that Dr Cem Arslan performed on our daughter. We are extremely happy with Olympia support, especially Leila and Almira. They were with us each step of the way. The staff at the hospital were very kind and helpful (almost none of them speak English but Almira was awesome, almost 24/7 for us).

The hotel where they sent us after the surgery, had very comfy beds, where we really rested well. There is a wonderful walking area right in front where we could get around and speed up the recovery (walking works wonders after the operation).

2 days after the surgery, our daughter was able to walk normally and survive an 11-hour trip by car. The doctor is really incredible, such a quick recovery that it's almost surreal.

Highly recommend Olympia and Dr Arslan! Millions of thanks to Leila and especially Almira who has gone through the same surgery herself and her practical tips were priceless!!!

Positive Aspects:

- The team is kind and always supportive. The doctors and nurses I met were nice and sweet.
- Communication about the surgery, doctors, and what to expect was perfect.

Areas for Improvement:

- I had to pay extra for a sleeve procedure before my bypass surgery. Although I didn’t mind, the reason was unclear. Despite this, the team was nice.
- The hospital and hotel are in a location where stores are at least a 15-minute walk away, which can be inconvenient, especially after surgery or if you're alone.
- The hospital felt a bit old, and if you have someone accompanying you, they might find the lack of nearby amenities challenging. Additionally, the food options were limited.
- Hotel communication was poor. Checkout time was at 12, but my driver was scheduled to pick me up at 4:00. I had to pay extra to stay comfortably, which could have been arranged during the initial booking.
- I had to change my room on the first night due to an AC issue. The internet kept disconnecting, there were only Turkish TV channels, and the room service menu scanner never worked. I wanted chicken soup, but couldn’t get it. On the positive side, the view from the hotel was great, the bed was comfortable, and the hair salon was excellent.

Overall, I wouldn’t say the experience was bad, but addressing these small issues could greatly enhance the overall experience
