I had a gastric sleeve with Dr Suleyman in July 2023 and when I arrived I was met with the upmost care. He can’t do enough for you, so kind and gentle. Since that time he has checked in with me every couple of months to see how I am doing and has always maintained contact, and been a constant pillar of support to me. I returned this year (June 2025) after losing 9 stone to have a “mummy makeover” all organised by Dr Suleyman and his team and again the care has been incredible. Even though he was not performing the plastic surgery he met with me on arrival, he was there holding my hand when I went down to surgery and he listens to any worries you may have and reassures you, he came in every day to check I was ok and not just me but my companion too ensuring she was ok and even bought her dinner whilst I was having surgery! He has a fantastic co-ordinator Olena who also ensures everything runs as smoothly as possible, and is always on hand to answer any questions. He really is the kindest man whilst maintaining professionalism at all times. I am so glad I found this surgeon he has changed my life and I have made a life long friend. Thank you for everything and I will see you again soon for my arm lift!

My life has been changed by this amazing professional surgeon. It’s been nearly a whole year since my surgery and Dr Suleyman Akilli still keeps in touch! He told me that he is my doctor and wants to keep my records up to date, so every time I get my bloods done at my local GP surgery, I send Dr. Suleyman the PDF on WhatsApp and he responds straight away, confirming that he is happy with my progress etc. I also met up with him in Glasgow when he was over for business. He came in to see us every day after surgery, even on his day off (Sunday). I feel like I have never had such genuine quality service like this in my life and I’m 57! I had gastric sleeve surgery on the same day as my best friend and we both are highly delighted with our decision and our choice for the best surgeon we could have chosen. We even saw some of the video of the surgery, photos of the stomach he removed, proving to me that I never had a hernia that I was diagnosed with at home. I have every faith and trust in this man who changed my life and made the journey so easy, taking the stress and worry away as soon as we met him.

I cannot recommend him and his team highly enough to anyone who was considering Bariatric surgery. We came home with a copy of our records, even the packaging from the staples etc that was used and the support group within his team and other patients have been immensely important in helping us get the right nutritional advice, Dr Suleyman is also is a member of that and comments on any queries we have. He is a legend in our eyes and feel very privileged to always have him in our corner.

Outstanding team I recommend this surgeon if you are thinking of surgery he has changed my life and I wasn’t an easy patient as I’m sure he will agree but nothing is to much trouble day or night even now … I’m 8 weeks post-op over 30kg down and no longer diabetic !! I had my surgery in July and had a great experience with Dr. Süleyman Akıllı, I went with him after being recommended from 2 of my friends who couldn’t speak highly enough of him and they were right. I was very anxious and emotional when I arrived and he made me feel at ease. I have now lost 5 stone and feel the best I have felt in years. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Dr. Süleyman Akıllı and his team, I still keep in touch with him now.

The best surgeon! He was very supportive and positive—I always felt safe. The nurses at the hospital were so lovely, making me feel pain-free and comfortable. I healed perfectly with almost invisible scars, and I owe him my new positive outlook on life—5 stone lost! I couldn’t recommend him highly enough. My husband was given a bed beside me and full board too. Had the procedure done on Monday and was out shopping by Thursday. Great team around him too!

Dr Suleyman was recommended to me by a friend who has personally used him. Following many many hours of research I failed to find one bad review for this surgeon. I then met him face to face when he visited my home city. I knew following that meeting that I was going to be in good hands. The surgery went very well and he was always very professional doing daily checks on me. I would recommend Dr Suleyman Akilli to anyone thinking of having a gastric sleeve in Turkey

The level of care was to a very high standard, every step of the process was explained in detail, the follow up care was brilliant, even a year put they still offering support and advice, the surgery itself was terrifying however Dr. Süleyman Akıllı put me at ease with his calm manner and professionalism, all my worries were eased when we met and the surgery went smooth with no complications. After thinking about surgery for the last 3 years & even booking up and then cancelling with 2 other clinics because I was so scared I finally felt ready to go ahead.
I contacted Dr Suleyman Akilli & spoke to him directly on Monday 30th December 24 he answered all of my questions and put my mind at ease, my surgery was arranged for 12 days time. On 11th January 25 I arrived at the hospital very scared & nervous I was greeted by Arina the co-ordinator who is such a lovely lady, she answered all my queries & talked me thru step by step what was happening. I was taken for several tests which they do so fast & then once complete admitted to the ward & taken to my own private room.
Once I got the all-clear from tests for surgery to go ahead I was gowned up & a Canula was placed in my arm ready for surgery, I was told I would be going down at 11 am.
Dr Suleyman came into my room and asked if I was ready then the team took me down in the lift to the theatre. All the time staff reassured me telling me everything was going to be fine.
I woke up from surgery with Dr Suleyman by my side holding my hand which was so comforting & measuring, I felt groggy but had minimal pain. I was then taken back to my room to rest & was told the surgery had been a success.
Every day Dr Suleyman came to see me twice a day & the hospital staff took really good care of me. Everyone was so friendly even the cleaners who made me laugh every day.
Arina also came to see me several times after surgery and brought me my protein shakes. Nothing was a problem for her. I Dr Suleyman is one of the loveliest people I have ever met, he really does change people’s lives He has a Facebook group where he offers helpful hints and tips and anyone can ask for dietary advice on there.
I HIGHLY recommend Dr Suleyman Akilli to anyone looking for a bariatric procedure.

After 2 failed surgeries in the UK I was wary about going back for another never mind in Turkey. I needn’t have worried from the very first interaction with Dr Suleyman and his coordinators I was treated with more care and attention than I ever had in the UK.
My surgery in October was a complete success and I am now on my way to a healthier and happier life all thanks to my surgeon who really does care for his patients both before and after surgery.
If you’re on the fence I would recommend having a consultation with him. You won’t be disappointed.

The experience was amazing from start to finish. I was well looked after by all the staff and made feel at ease. Nothing was too much trouble before and after surgery.

Hi, I travelled to Antalya from the UK on April 20. 24 to get my gastric sleeve done by dr Suleyman Akilli. I have to say Dr Suleyman Akilli and his team and the nursing staff in the hospital are amazing. I had a phenomenal experience with them. I can’t believe how fast the recovery was and how comfortable I was in the hospital. I felt no pain whatsoever also Dr Suleyman made me feel so comfortable he was so understanding and gave me plenty of reassurance and support. The procedure went so smoothly. Also, the nursing staff stayed on top of pain relief and the drip but I never actually felt pain once I have to say Dr Suleyman Akilli is a fantastic Surgeon and I can tell by the way, I felt after my operation, I was very nervous before travelling to Turkey where I have been questioning myself if it’s the right thing I was doing but honestly I suffer with several health conditions including fibromyalgia for many years I’ve tried several diets and exercise but nothing worked for me.

This feeling is so magical since I have come out of the theatre I have felt no pain. I feel like a new person already. I’m only six days postop, I just can’t thank Dr Suleyman Akilli enough for changing my life. I’m forever thankful thank you so much Dr Suleyman Akilli I have never felt this way. I feel like a new person.
