WEDNESDAY AVAILABILITY With expertise in the various fields of mental health and well-being, John is available for psychotherapy and counseling.  If you're experiencing such difficulties as depression, anxiety, relationship issues, severe addiction, obsessions, anger management, paranoia, psychosis, identity crises, sexual dysfunction, loss & grief; then John will be able to work with you.   As a member of the Association for Psychoanalysis and Psychotherapy in Ireland, John practices a unique form of psychoanalysis during these sessions. The sessions uphold privacy and confidentiality which are paramount to the treatment. How does psychotherapy work? All that is required is to speak as openly as possible about any thoughts, feelings, ideas and even dreams that come to your mind. How long does it last? It is a big step for anyone who decides to go to see a therapist. There is no quick fix to therapy. It is up to you to determine how long you would like to complete the work. How often should I go? In order to benefit from the therapy, once a week is preferable. Otherwise it is up to you to decide. Therapy can be costly in general. How much is it going to cost me? I offer reasonable rates of €60 What day do you work? Tuesdays Only

I am a fully qualified psychotherapist with a Level 9 Postgraduate Diploma in Humanistic and Integrative Counselling and Psychotherapy from University College Cork having completed four years of training in Turning Point Training Institute. I am an  accredited member of the Irish Association of Humanistic and Integrative Psychotherapy (I.A.H.I.P). I work with a wide range of issues which include relationships, family issues, trauma, grief, loss and bereavement, identity,  multi-cultural issues, self esteem and personal development, psychosexual issues, depression, anxiety, stress, bullying and work related issues . In my previous work as a solicitor I had over twenty years experience working with vulnerable clients and specialised in the areas of family law, equality law, childcare law and refugee law.   As a family lawyer I represented clients in stressful situations encompassing divorce, separation, custody, maintenance and domestic violence. In the area of equality I did a significant amount of work with gay, lesbian and transgender clients, clients with disabilities and parents of children with disabilities both in relation to employment and services. In the equality and refugee areas I worked with people from many different cultural backgrounds.
