Making the decision to find a counsellor can be a difficult task, whether it is your first time or you are returning back to counselling. It can be a huge step in itself, as you may be experiencing a number of feelings, such as: what if I look silly, what if my problems seem unimportant or what if I don't know where to start? It's my belief that we all have our own answers to our difficulties and sometimes all we need is a safe place to explore our concerns. Also there are times when the ones closest to us aren't the best people to discuss our concerns, as our relationships with family and friends can often be the source of our distress. At Building Bridges I provide  a safe caring, non-judgemental and supportive space which allows people to explore issues within their life that are presently causing distress. Therapists use different approaches and interventions to suit the requirements of the client. The goal within the therapeutic relationship is help the client work towards making more positive choices.

Danny uses a primarily integrated  approach to counselling, using humanistic and CBT methodologies. He will do his best to work with you through whatever it is that you choose to bring into the counselling room, big or small. He has experience of a wide variety of issues, including but not limited to stress and anxiety, bereavement, low self-esteem, depression and trauma He is an EAP afiliate and has 18 months experience as an addiction counsellor for Cuam Mhuire, the country's largest treatment centre. He works from Old Bawn Road Clinic in Tallaght. He is an Accredited Member of the IACP (Irish Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy)    

Lotus Counselling's goal is to provide a safe and non-judgmental environment for clients who may be facing a range of difficulties such as anxiety, trauma, depression, self-esteem issues, grief etc. It can be a courageous step to turn to a stranger for support. Counselling offers a space where you can uncover your inner strengths and identify life goals based on your individual wants and needs. I am trained in Integrative Counselling and Psychotherapy which means I do not follow one particular discipline or school of thought. Rather than a 'one size fits all' approach I find it more beneficial to integrate a range of different theories and techniques based on the individual client's needs. These include but are not limited to Humanistic Counselling, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Mindfulness-based Therapy, Gestalt therapy and Psychodynamic theory.

Brian Holohan is a fully accredited Counsellor, Psychotherapist and Supervisor with the Irish Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy. He holds as BA (Hons) Degree in Counselling & Psychotherapy, a Master's Degree in Sexuality Studies, a Diploma in Addiction Psychology and a Diploma in Counsellor Supervision.    In 2013 he set up 2gether Counselling & Psychotherapy Services and is currently working with adults and couples online covering but not limited to such issues as: anger, anxiety, bereavement & loss, depression, stress, self-esteem issues, relationship issues, sexuality and suicidal ideation.  Brian has over six years experience in working therapeutically online and currently all One-to-One Adult and Couples Counselling sessions take place online via a secure video platform.
