Lotus Counselling's goal is to provide a safe and non-judgmental environment for clients who may be facing a range of difficulties such as anxiety, trauma, depression, self-esteem issues, grief etc. It can be a courageous step to turn to a stranger for support. Counselling offers a space where you can uncover your inner strengths and identify life goals based on your individual wants and needs. We can offer you a safe place to gain awareness and insight, as well as learn strategies to manage uncomfortable thoughts, emotions and behaviours. I am trained in Integrative Counselling and Psychotherapy which means I do not follow one particular discipline or school of thought. Rather than a 'one size fits all' approach I find it more beneficial to integrate a range of different theories and techniques based on the individual client's needs. These include but are not limited to Humanistic Counselling, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Mindfulness-based Therapy, Gestalt therapy and Psychodynamic theory.

Brian Holohan is a fully accredited Counsellor, Psychotherapist and Supervisor with the Irish Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy. He holds as BA (Hons) Degree in Counselling & Psychotherapy, a Master's Degree in Sexuality Studies, a Diploma in Addiction Psychology and a Diploma in Counsellor Supervision.    In 2013 he set up 2gether Counselling & Psychotherapy Services and is currently working with adults and couples online covering but not limited to such issues as: anger, anxiety, bereavement & loss, depression, stress, self-esteem issues, relationship issues, sexuality and suicidal ideation.  Brian has over six years experience in working therapeutically online and currently all One-to-One Adult and Couples Counselling sessions take place online via a secure video platform.
