Connecting Mindfully (counselling & psychotherapy) - Psychotherapy Clinic in Ireland

When something in your life is not how you'd like it to be, or when you're looking for help and support for something that you're going through; perhaps a life event, a particular concern or maybe problems with relationships, at home, in school or at work. Maybe you are experiencing feelings of anxiety, frustration, fear, sadness or other emotions.  Stress can be a part of this.  Counselling can help you to better understand what might be going on for you, and to find ways to effectively manage feelings, thoughts or worries.  My experience is that clients come to counselling because they want something in their life to be different. I appreciate that it's often not easy to come to counselling. I welcome clients with warmth and openness, and a non-judgemental listening ear. I am a Person-Centred Therapist and I use ACT, CBT and Choice Theory to help clients work through an issue or to help them shine a new light on an area of their life that is not currently how they would like it to be. Sometimes what we need is to be listened to and heard.  Coming to see a therapist is a brave step towards getting support.  Allowing yourself to talk about and express what you are experiencing might be what you need at this time.  We often don't 'press pause' in our lives, we often don't give ourselves the time or space to check in with ourselves. We are a patient-first professional counselling & psychotherapy clinic. Psychoanalytically trained. Dublin based. ‘otherness. noun. the quality or fact of being different’ At the heart of our ethos is the conviction that no two people are the same. This means no clipboards. No questionnaires. No categorisation. No plotting you on a graph. No generic solutions. As psychoanalysts we listen carefully to the otherness in you. What makes you, you. That’s where work can be done.

Knots of Thoughts - Psychotherapy Clinic in Ireland

Knots of Thoughts

20 Brownsbarn Gardens. Kingswood Cross, Dublin 22, Dublin, D22VH76
I am an Integrative therapist with a strong humanistic foundation and my work is firmly based on the ideals of humanistic approaches such as Person-Centred Therapy.  I work with  clients who experience depression, loneliness, bereavement, anxiety, panic attacks, stress, relationship and family issues, identity crises, body image issue, phobias, low self-esteem and more... My goal is to offer a space that is safe, accepting and non-judgemental, where you can explore, on a deeper level, your emotions, thoughts and behaviours. Looking in will help you find the answers and begin the journey of healing.  The decision to start therapy can bring feelings of both excitement and uncertainty and I am glad that you have taken the first step into this journey. You can benefit from counselling and psychotherapy at any stage in your life. However, it is more usual that you are likely to consider counselling when you are seeking to deal with changes, events or transitions in your life, or when facing a personal crisis. We will work together, as a team, to explore what you are going through and help you move forward.
