Elizabeth O’Sullivan
I graduated from the Tivoli Institute with a Professional Diploma in Counselling and Psychotherapy.
I am a fully accredited member of the Irish Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (IACP).
I have over ten years experience working with people in distress. This includes working with Pieta House, Extern, Da Paul trust and EAP consultants .
As a therapist I aim to provide a focused, practical and supportive environment. Depending on each clients needs and wants, a tailored and individual approach will be taken. This will combine different theoretical approaches including Cognitive behavioral therapy ,Gestalt, Psychodynamic or humanistic. Little warning, the work may be challenging and difficult at times, however I feel that through nurturing and valuing my clients’ strengths and resources, opportunity is provided to explore their individual experience of distress and encourage insight into patterns of behavior that may be preventing them from leading fulfilling and satisfying lives.
I have a very special interest in working with those struggling with suicide & self harm , but whatever your going through help can be sought.
Many of the people who come to see me come with issues such as : Sexuality ( LGBTQ ), Abuse, Domestic Violence, Relationships, Depression, Low Self-esteem, Anxiety, or any emotional issue that is causing stress in an individuals life.
I also hold a degree in Law. I have additional training in Management & Marketing .
