Just completed 3 sessions for lower back pain & stiffness, was in the hands of ... May I say .... A very young but extremely professional guy Enda. From the moment I walked in the door I knew I was in good hands his way of explaining all the different things that can cause back pain was an eye-opener. I received laser treatment....Decompression treatment plus hands on physiotherapy plus was given certain stretches & movements to do at home. I can honestly say... Hand on heart, from the first session, I could feel a difference and freedom of movement in my lower back that I haven't felt in a long long time. Chartered Physiotherapist with 25 years experience. Completed 2 Masters Degrees in Manual Therapy and Musculoskeletal Health. From early in my career I began practicing and teaching yoga and pilates and began to develop a holistic approach. This led me to studying craniosacral therapy and later visceral manipulation and somatic movement education. Most recently I've been delving deeply into study of trauma and the Nervous System as it is so involved in any chronic health problems.  As a result I have a very holistic approach that is suited both to acute injuries and chronic longstanding problems. My main interests are women's health (pelvic health/pre and post natal) and pain.  Holistic bodywork sessions will usually address body parts away from the site of pain because of the interconnectness of the fascial system.  I also teach  yoga and workshops/courses on pelvic health and the nervous system.

Chronic pain is an immensely complex condition which needs a multidimensional treatment approach. We have a special interest in chronic pain and use yoga therapy and craniosacral therapy along with traditional physiotherapy to reduce overactivity in the nervous system. We will also refer you to nutritional therapy, pain specialists or counselling if we feel that these professionals can add to your overall healing experience.

We specialize in musculoskeletal pain with a particular interest in back/neck/shoulder/hip and pelvis. We guarantee a highly individualized approach resulting from and indepth and thorough assessment on your first visit. We also incorporate yoga and craniosacral therapy where appropriate. This applies particularly to conditions such as chronic pain and whiplash where the muscular and nervous systems tend to highly sensitized. We also use many traditional physiotherapy techniques including dry needling and myofascial release.

Dry needling is a great way to quickly reduce tension in specific muscles. Fantastic for sports injuries but also for those tight sore shoulders that result from stress or desk work.

5 stars out of 5! I went in with a damaged lower back and the care that Rita gave me was superb. She worked an hour straight trying to ease the pain and she explained the process from exercises to what treatment she was providing. Rita is professional, friendly and clearly loves her role as a physio. She explains in detail the aftercare treatment plan when I should return and hopefully when I would see results. I have already booked my next session as I see results already.

Each Consultation lasts 40-45 minutes.  The initial consultation includes the assessment of the presenting condition.  An exercise and treatment plan is set.  Each subsequent visit includes reassessment to determine any changes to the condition, together with evidence based treatment. Treatments provided include joint mobilsations, massage, deep dry needling, kinesiotaping, acupuncture, pilates, electrotherapy, medico legal report writing.
