PhysioCentre

Rating from 6 Reviews Exceptionally talented physiotherapistSimone, Ireland, 11 Mar 14

I was extremely pleased with my treatment, and returned about 4 times, I feel such huge relief from pain and numbness in my fingers due to bulging discs in my neck. My son has also been after he broke his elbow and to have surgery. He is fourteen and wanted to get back to rugby where he broke his arm. The treatments he received from Kathy and Cira were not only beneficial to his arm, but they also gave him the confidence and guidance needed for a full recovery. My Daughter, Megan, has also been as she hurt her neck while skiing. Kathy treated her neck and also gave her advice on a few positive changes she could make on a daily basis to give her more energy. Kathy referred Megan to another medical person for further treatments outside the physio spectrum. This I found impressive as the patient's full recovery is Kathy's ultimate goal, and if treatment is needed outside of her clinic, she will refer you to someone who will help you achieve full recovery. I think Kathy Kavanagh is an exceptionally talented physiotherapist and I recommend her to all my customers and friends.

Very good!Donal, Ireland, 10 Mar 14

Hip and Back Pain Excellent treatment for chronic stubborn back and hip pain that other practitioners have been unable to successfully treat. The PhysioCentre takes a full bio-mechanical view of the problem, not just treating the symptom but also the causes. Excellent value.

I had been in pain for quite a while with my shoulder & was fed up taking pain killers. So after some research I decided to give acupuncture a try & I can honestly say I'm delighted I did. It's brilliant & Darren gets right to the point, "no pun intended" I would recommend it to anyone suffering with pain. Thanks Darren!

Strongly recommendDebbie, Ireland, 29 May 14

I'm very pleased with the treatment I am receiving, Darren is very professional and explains everything he is doing. I can feel a great improvement in my back since I started the treatment. I would strongly recommend Darren in the future.

Dr Anne Dempsey Holistic Therapy and Sports Injury Physiotherapy Clinic

I was very happy with the appointment and contact.

Physiotherapy is improving my injury every weekDerek, Ireland, 02 Sep 16

I went to Anne with a neck, shoulder and upper arm pain. After assessing me she was able to tell me that there was a disc out in a vertebra in my neck which also caused the shoulder and arm pain. I have been getting treatment over the past 4 weeks and am slowly getting better and the injury is improving each week. I would recommend Anne as a physio as she is very knowledgeable and knows what she is doing to get me back into action. I choose Anne because she was recommended with good reviews and was very experienced with the type of injury I have. She was also recommended by my doctor after i told them that I was seeing her for treatment. She was able to diagnose my injury on the first visit, so we could start treatment and when I was in allot of pain at the start she kept in touch if a cancellation came up and she could fit me in sooner. A Very good physio.

Myofascial Release €30  -  €60
Fascia is a slightly mobile connective tissue which creates a three-dimensional web extending continuously from the top of the head to the tips of the toes, without interruption. It surrounds and infuses with every organ, bone, nerve and blood-vessels.  As a result of trauma, inflammation, or poor posture, fascia has a tendency to become solidified and shortened. It will tend to organize itself along the lines-of-tension imposed upon it. Due to its body-wide continuity this effect can sometimes produce seemingly bizarre and apparently unrelated clinical symptoms and dysfunctions throughout a patients body. Scar-tissue can create extensive dysfunction within the fascial-system and can often have far reaching effects throughout the body. Even the smallest scar may be just the tip of the iceberg of fascial dysfunction. Myofascial release uses gentle forces to release these restrictions and lines-of-tension, thus restoring more normal movement and function, to the whole body.

I have been suffering with a neck and shoulder injury from a car accident that flares up every now and then. Andy is an excellent Physio . Always feel much better after an appointment. I have recently started attending his Pilates classes too and I feel it is helping me strengthen up so hopefully my aches and pains will be a thing of the past! So far loving it ! Highly recommend Andy ! I have been to many Physio's over the past 5 years because of a bad whiplash injury and he is by far the best! Also his Pilates classes are excellent. Started to feel the benefits after only 3 classes 👌

I have recommended him to all my runner friendsChristina, Ireland, 04 Feb 16

I visited Andy in October last year just two weeks prior to the Dublin Marathon. My IT band was playing up, resulting in hip and knee pain. I thought that was it, I'd definitely lost all hope of making my first marathon after all the hard training! Two sessions of dry needling, deep sports massage and exercises and I made it to the starting (& finishing!!) line of my first marathon. I found Andy to be very professional and knowledgeable. I didn't feel rushed and he really investigated the issue thoroughly. It really helps to have a physio with a sports background. I have recommended him to all my runner friends, and can't rate his service highly enough. Thanks Andy,

Myofascial Release €25  -  €60
Th Myofascia has been underestimated for a long time and only recently is research proving how amazing and important it is.  Often chronic pain and postural problems are a result of problems with our myofascia. The myofascia is like a web that wraps between and around all of our muscles and joints, from the top of our head to the tips of our toes.  When it gets tight it can be like wearing a tight shirt, we lack the slack to fully move.  Myofascial  release  creates  space like putting on a bigger shirt giving the room to move. This also relieves pain.
