Robert graduated in 2009  with an hons degree from the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland and has a previous hons degree in Sports Science and Health from Dublin City University. Robert has treated a wide variety of patient types and has worked in a number of different settings including acute hospital, rehabilitation, aged care and private practice. Robert has been working in private practice since 2009, he also spent 2 years working in the National Rehab Hospital in Dun Laoghaire where he was involved in the brain injury, spinal injury and amputee programmes. Robert also spent 6 months working in a large aged care facility in Australia. Robert treats all types of patients but specialises in sports injuries and other musculoskeletal issues. Robert has a background in tennis. He has played since he was 6 years old and represented his school, province and country as a junior. He has also been involved with the junior national squad as a coach and physical trainer.

A friend recommended I go to the pain relief clinic in Mallow st. I had pain going down my right leg for two weeks. I went to see Sean in the clinic on Saturday in a lot of pain. I came out an hour later and I could climb a mountain. Very highly recommend.

Went to the injury clinic in severe pain from an old injury. Jim was excellent. After a few visits, he alleviated my pain and explained everything from the reasoning behind my pain to the procedure in which he was going to do. I have recommended Jim to others and would certainly attend him again if necessary.

Premier County Sports Medicine & Chartered Physiotherapy Clinics opened in 1996 in Templemore.  The business expanded in 2000 and now has two locations in Templemore and Thurles.  The business owner Therese Ryan has 22 years experience in the field of physiotherapy.  She has a BSc in Physiotherapy from University of East London, a MSc in Sports Medicine from Trinity College Dublin and has various other qualifications including yoga and Deep Dry Needling.  The team currently consists of Jackie (Clinic Manager), Maggie O’Grady (Secretary), with Therese Ryan, Joanne Shanahan and Eibhlis Cooney the main physiotherapists.
