I am a cardiovascular surgeon. Hair loss was a big problem for me these last years. My friends (docs) encouraged me for hair transplantation but I could not decide.

I came upon a recommendation of a friend. Everything was perfect. I didn't feel any pain during the operation. I didn't even have a headache afterwards.I paid close attention to the first 3 days of bedtime. After 3 days, I returned to my normal life.

Hair transplantation is the process of transporting healthy hair with non-spillage characteristics on the back and sides of the head to the areas of the spill.

 

DHI - Direct Hair Implantation

This method allows surgeons to delegate the work of the placement of the graft. This allows physicians to accurately place the grafts after the surgeon has carried out the harvesting, which minimises the time as well as the grafts spend out of the body, producing a comfortable cycle of activity. In addition to this, implanters allow placement with a minimal risk of follicle damage, which is particularly important when being integrated as part of an FUE technique, due to the follicles being implanted individually.

FUE - Follicular Unit Extraction

The FUE treatment procedure harvests individual follicuar units or groups of 1 – 4 hairs, directly from the scalp. In order to extract an optimal number of follicle units, the donor area is shaved. The patient then will have their predetermined number of follicle units excised with punch blades that are less than 1 mm in diameter. With this technique, individual hair grafts are precisely extracted from the outer most layer skin. This procedure is minimally uncomfortable and patients can expect circular scars that are so small that they are virtually undetectable with short hair or even shaved head. In addition to being a relatively comfortable procedure with natural-looking results, postoperative outcomes for FUE patients are very good. The patient can return to his everyday life within a week.

Further advantages of FUE technique;

No visible scarring even wearing short hair. Donor area from where the hair is removed looks unaffected and unchanged as of 2 weeks after the treatment. FUE Hair Restoration ensures  a natural looking result using 'true' and natural follicle units. Natural looking hairline guaranteed. In the case of the crown area, we recreate the natural swirl using identical angulation and direction. Recovery days instead of months as no scalpel or stitches are used in the treatment. Dr. Gamze Torin Mentesoglu is graduated from Hacettepe University Faculty of Medicine. She took her Dermatology specialist degree from Gazi University Faculty of Medicine.
