I couldn't be happier with my decisionH., Turkey, 05 03 25Okay, first of all... Turkiye might have the largest airport I've ever been to! Keep this in mind when traveling!
Now, ViaLife Clinic!
I decided after a lot of research, to make this my destination. There are many noteworthy clinics here, but with ViaLife, there's a beautiful mixture of professionalism & down-to-earth hospitality. I myself come from American Southern culture -- this fits just right with me!
My guide throughout this process, was a wonderful woman named "Berry". She took the time to explain each step in as much detail as possible. I had kept my hair issues somewhat quiet, until it was the right time to handle things -- having someone explain AND be attentive to my natural nervousness did wonders for what anxiety I did have.
Now my surgeon, Emit (pronounced Emmitt) has convinced me that he is more of an artist than a surgeon! His attention to detail, even making notes towards things I hadn't said aloud... Highly impressive. We sat & crafted an aesthetic that was fitting to both my hair line & my overall desired look!
I was quite nervous, once the shaving of the head occurred. I was given lots of positive encouragement & a little relaxation medication to ease the process.
Note: of all the things that could cause pain, the only thing I think should be noted was the initial numbing process. There are mini needles used for local anesthesia. These feel a bit like wasp stings too the scalp. You can breathe in & out -- it's manageable but just to be transparent.
After this, everything else went very smoothly. I'm pretty sure I started to fall asleep, as they would remind me here & there to not move. LOL. There was a break after harvesting of the grafts & a wonderful lunch. Afterwards, the implanting began. It may have taken around two hours? Once this was finished, I got to see my implant site!
It excites me to know in a handful of months, my hair will be back to a normal look, if not better than before!
The following day, I was taught how to wash my transplant site, as it's still very delicate. I also want to note -- the Turkish language and culture is somewhat of a shock, but I'm a good way. Very relaxed, very peaceful.
I'm returning in maybe a years time if not sooner, for implant/dental work!
I couldn't be happier with my decision!
(A note on price)
The initial price without any extras, is $2500, with a $500 down payment. I added extras onto my package deal, due to wanting the best possible results I could muster. This includes various injections, along with a years supply of hair care products! These are not mandatory, but again. In my humble opinion, if you are considering travel for cosmetic treatment, think on making your experience as successful as possible!
