Mr Gary Jones

Job Title:
  Physiotherapist
Biography:
Gary decided it was time to get himself a proper job and gained a 1st class honours degree in Physiotherapy at Southampton University in 2001, after he realised that his dream of becoming a stand-up comedian was indeed `very much a dream!`. Gary moved down from the bright lights and big city that is...Birmingham and joined Six Physio as a manual physiotherapist in December 2009. Back in Birmingham Gary worked for 5 years in the N.H.S, during which time he gained valuable experience in treating adult and paediatric orthopaedic and musculoskeletal conditions before spending the next 3 years working in private practice. Gary completed a postgraduate diploma in neuromusculoskeletal healthcare at Keele University in 2008, leading to a keen interest in pain physiology and its role in joint and soft tissue management. Gary`s area of expertise is in the manual rehabilitation of spinal, shoulder and knee dysfunction as well as sports injuries. Gary has been practicing acupuncture since 2004 and is a registered member of the A.A.C.P.

Camilla Bouverie

Job Title:
  Physiotherapist
Specialisations:
  Physiotherapy
Biography:

Camilla studied Physiotherapy at Nottingham University and on graduating headed back to London to work full-time at the Chelsea and Westminster Hospital NHS Trust. Here she developed a keen interest in both general Musculoskeletal and Women’s Health physiotherapy (treating both ante-natal and post-natal women for pain and pelvic floor dysfunction). During this time she also gained a post-graduate qualification in acupuncture and trained as an APPI Pilates Instructor. In 2006 and 2007 she managed to escape the lovely British winter weather by landing a dream job working in a British Physiotherapy practice in the French Alps for 2 seasons, where she skied a lot and became highly experienced in treating every possible type of snow sports injury. In-between and following her ski seasons, Camilla continued working as a senior Women’s Health physiotherapist in London (at both St Georges Hospital and Chelsea and Westminster Hospital), and also part-time as a Rehab Physiotherapist at SIX Physio. In 2010 she moved to SIX full-time to set up and run our Women’s Health Service. She has also completed a masters-level Post-Graduate Certificate in Women’s Health Physiotherapy and is a full member of the Association of Chartered Physiotherapists in Women’s Health (ACPWH).

Aty Robert

Job Title:
  Physiotherapist
Specialisations:
  Physiotherapy
Biography:

Aty graduated from the University of Cape Town, South Africa in 2003 with a Bachelor in Physiotherapy. Post-qualification Aty worked for the South African Government where she developed a keen interest and specialism in Musculoskeletal outpatients. Aty is also trained in Pilates and continues to enjoy exploring this area of her work. Aty moved to London in 2005 working in the NHS and in private practice. Here she gained most of her experience treating acute and chronic lower back and SIJ problems. She completed the post graduate Orthopaedic Manipulative Therapy course in 2008 which has further developed her specialist manual and manipulative handling skills. Aty is particularly keen on treating acute neck pain, acute sports injures and postural and biomechanical mal-alignments. She believes in treating the body as a whole system and combines traditional physiotherapy techniques such as joint and soft tissue mobilisation techniques with more alternative approaches such as dry needling (acupuncture). Through participation in a variety of sports such as running, gymnastics, hockey and swimming, Aty understands the sporting challenges her patients face and is enthusiastic in helping others achieve their potential and goals.
