I went to another Nuevo Progreso dental office recommended by a nearby Texas town's Chamber of Commerce. I told the dentist that I needed several crowns. After examining me he told me I needed crowns on all of my teeth, which was baloney. I later saw all the good reviews on this site for Dr Garza and called his office's ph.# on a Sunday expecting a voice message but Dr. Garza answered the phone and told me he could take me in on Monday morning - talk about service! He told me I only needed 7 crowns and had them completed in two days. Dr Garza's honesty is only one of all the attributes one should expect from a dental professional - He is the best!
Visited Dr Garza in February '26 for a bridge. Very impressed! Extremely satisfied. Dr. Garza worked with my limited time in Progresso/Rio Grande Valley to have all of my work completed. He was great at explaining all my options and helping to choose the best treatment path for me. His work is honest, capable, and thorough. Prices are more than reasonable for a dentist with 40+ years of experience. Turn-around time and quality of work are both impressive. I will certainly be back to visit Dr.Garza next time I'm in Nuevo Progresso. Can't recommend enough!
We have been going to Dr Garza for 10 years. My husband had his implants done here. We checked many dentists before choosing. Dr Hugo was one of very few who told us it would be several months after implant before dentures should be clicked in. This coincided with medical advice my husband had read online. He now goes yearly to have his posts cleaned. He is very happy with his implants and dentures. I have had several old fillings replaced, get my teeth cleaned and checked usually twice a year. He does excellent work.We love Dr Hugo. He is professional yet friendly. He gives you advice about your teeth.
Dr Garza has been our dentist for over 12 years. He has also been the dentist for more of our neighbourhood. Personally, he has performed cleanings, root canals (performed by his wife), crowns, etc.Others in our neighbourhood, Rockport, TX, have had the full gamut of work, including implants, etc.We highly recommend him for all dental needs.
Dr. Hugo Garza is a 5 star dentist. He was recommended by a friend years ago. I have been to see him several times with different issues over the years and have never been disappointed with the results. He takes his time thoroughly explaining the options needed to fix the problem. He is extremely gentle and his prices are very reasonable. You won't find a better dentist in Nuevo Progresso.
Dr Garza was wonderful and friendly and gave honest opinion on the work I needed done. I went to a dentist in USA and was told I needed a lot done and Dr Garza said I only needed a crown and a bridge. He was very informative about the procedures and only took 2 visits to complete. I would highly recommend Dr Garza to anyone! I was nervous about going to Mexico to a Mexican Dentist but very glad I did! I saved a lot of money too! I will definitely return to him! I trust him and his work is quality! I am extremely happy! My husband also had a cleaning after I was done without an appointment.

Dr Garza and his endodontist, Dr Isabella were warm and professional. Many thanks for their care and honesty through a bunch of dental treatments. As well, the new mouthguard fits better than any I've had before. All are very affordable.
