I know that my new teeth will be worth the time put into this processJackaline, US, 04 06 21Three weeks ago I went to Stetic Implants to start the process of getting top and bottom full-bridge implants. I was a life-long teeth grinder/clencher. I had all my teeth, but the back teeth were cracked and starting to split. I made the decision to have implants done, rather than spend the next 20 years fighting to keep the teeth. I accidentally hit upon Stetic Implants, and they really fit my needs. I sent Manny a copy of my last x-rays. Because you couldn't see the tooth damage in the x-rays, my teeth looked healthy, with good roots and bone. Manny called me and informed me that his doctor said that I didn't need extractions, and if I had been told this in the past, it was wrong. I explained to him that I had ground my teeth as a child and young adult, but it wouldn't show up in the x-ray. Then, he understood why I was looking to get implants, but the fact that he called to tell me that I was possibly going into an unnecessary procedure really impressed me, and ultimately, that is why I made the decision to go with his clinic and not any of the other ones I had been looking at. Integrity counts for a lot in my book, and he wouldn't sell you something that is unnecessary.
Having never been to Mexico (but hearing some horror stories), I was a little afraid to go there to have dental work done. After talking to Manny and doing some research on my own, I learned that Nuevo Progresso is one of the safest places you can go to in Mexico. I felt completely comfortable walking around the stores and streets on my own, whenever there was time to get out, shopping and sampling the local cuisine.
Manny has also been wonderful. As other reviews have mentioned, he picks you up either from the airport or your hotel, and takes you across the border to his clinic, then back after you are done. Manny is highly intelligent, and we shared many thought-provoking conversations on our trips back and forth across the border.
To date, I have had all the extractions done, and am in temporary dentures waiting until my 4 monthly healing period is over, and I can return to get the bridges placed. I am so looking forward to having the work completed. Getting implants is a process, and anyone who advertises a new smile in one day isn't being completely honest. Yes, you can get the extractions and temporary dentures in one day, but the finished product will take at least 4 months. Right now I am in what I consider the hardest period of the process, the in-between time of waiting. I know that my new teeth will be worth the time put into this process, and it is made sweeter by the knowledge of how much money I saved by going to Stetic Implants, rather than having the work done in the States.
