Cavities can result from a number of different things.  A cavity is formed from the tooth being demineralized by bacteria formed on the surface of the tooth.  For instance, if you eat a lot of sweet foods, bacteria develops on the surface of the tooth, the bacteria creates an acid that breaks down the tissue the tooth is made of. Cavities can also be caused by small amounts of food being left between teeth.  These small pieces of food will develop bacteria around them, which develop acid that is destructive to the tooth material. In order to restore the tooth, a dentist must rid the tooth of the decayed cavity material and fill the hole in the tooth with a filling.  In the past, metal fillings were used.  Unfortunately, metal fillings do not bond to the tooth, and they actually weaken the tooth’s integrity. Dentist, Dr. Rene Rosas  uses white porcelain fillings, or porcelain inlays and onlays, in order to fill cavities in your teeth.  A white porcelain filling is placed in a cavity to restore the look and function of the tooth.Today’s porcelain fillings provide a strong, long lasting, and natural looking alternative to the traditional amalgam fillings of the past that could mar your beautiful smile with dull, dark colored fillings.

WHITE PORCELIAN  FILLINGS, METAL FREE! SAME COLOR AS YOUR TOOTH ,WONT EVEN KNOW ITS THERE.A dental restoration or dental filling is a dental restorative material used to restore the function, integrity and morphology of missing tooth structure. The structural loss typically results from caries or external trauma. It is also lost intentionally during tooth preparation to improve the aesthetics or the physical integrity of the intended restorative material. Dental restoration also refers to the replacement of missing tooth structure that is supported by dental implants. Dental restorations can be divided into two broad types: direct restorations and indirect restorations. All dental restorations can be further classified by their location and size. A root canal filling is a restorative technique used to fill the space where the dental pulp normally resides.

What is a Composite Resin (White Filling)? A composite filling is a tooth-colored plastic and glass mixture used to restore decayed teeth. Composites are also used for cosmetic improvements of the smile by changing the color of the teeth or reshaping disfigured teeth.

The value of the services made the 2 1/2 hour drive well worth itWilliam, US, 17 06 18

My wife had 2 crowns done in 2 trips and found the experience very good. It was a bit of a drive for us, but the value of the services made the 2 1/2 hour drive well worth it. The office is clean and neat. The treatment room is adequately full of necessary dental equipment and the English spoken was more than sufficient to take care of questions.

Porcelain Filling
Composite, resin, or white fillings have been around for about two decades. Composite fillings are composed of an organic polymer known as bisphenol-A-glycidyl methacrylate (BIS-GMA), and inorganic particles such as quartz, borosilicate glass, and lithium aluminum silicate. They have the advantage of requiring a more conservative tooth preparation, (less drilling required), can have a strengthening effect on the tooth, and are very aesthetic, virtually blending in with the tooth. Composite fillings are the material of choice for repairing the front teeth. On the down side, they are more technique sensitive for the dentist to place, and are highly susceptible to decay in the future if placed improperly. They usually cost more than an amalgam, and recent research has shown that a by-product of some resin restorations called bisphenol-A may be estrogenic and increase the risk of breast cancer. Despite this research composite fillings are considered safe, and like the other dental filling materials, they are approved by the American Dental Association.
Fillings
A filling is a way to restore a tooth damaged by decay back to its normal function and shape. When a dentist gives you a filling, he or she first removes the decayed tooth material, cleans the affected area, and then fills the cleaned out cavity with a filling material.
White Filling
Tooth colored white fillings are an attractive alternative to traditional metal fillings. They do not stand out visually like metal fillings, but match your teeth and are virtually undetectable. The material used is known as dental bonding, the same substance used for the procedure called dental bonding. It is a white, durable resin which comes in subtly different shades so Dr. Sands can choose the shade which best matches your natural teeth.

Work was excellent and I have had no problemsSharon, US, 12 01 16

Dr. Jorge's sister-in-law in San Antonio sent us here and we could not be more delighted. 3 years ago had 3 crowns, root canal, fillings and cleaning. My work was better than I have ever received in the US because he was truthful in all he told us, unlike several experiences in the states. Work was excellent and I have had no problems. This year we drove 1500 miles to have more work from Dr. Jorge, who speaks excellent English. Saved $5,000.00, plus better quality care. We'll be back. Experience was better than I have ever received in any US dental office. I had a silver filling in one of my front teeth and He asked why it was that way. The only reason is that my US dentist wanted me back in to do a root canal in the near future. He could not believe any dentist would do such a thing. He had a piece of integrity that is sorely lacking from dentists in the US. Also, his wife spoke adequate English, so communication was not a problem.
