What are Dental Bridges?

Dental bridges, also called tooth bridges, are placed when patients have one or more teeth missing or have gaps between their teeth. It usually takes two visits to get dental bridges fitted and the procedure takes about two hours.

What different types of dental bridges are there?

Traditional dental bridges consist of two crowns placed on healthy teeth on either side of the missing teeth, or gap, and the bridge then covers the gap supported by the two crowns. Cantilever bridges are placed when there are healthy teeth only on one side of the bridge. Maryland bridges are bonded to the backs of teeth on either side of the bridge and are not connected to crowns. Implant retained bridges are bridges that are placed over implants fixed in the gums. These bridges are placed when several implants are surgically inserted.

Is fitting dental bridges painful?

The dentist will numb the area where the dental bridge is to be placed before performing the procedure. Patients will not feel any pain during the procedure.

When can I travel by air after fitting dental bridges?

Patients should be able to fly two days after fitting their dental bridge. If they feel any pain or sensitivity after the procedure, they should consult their dentist for medications or postpone their journey till the pain or sensitivity has abated.

How long does recovery after fitting dental bridges take?

If patients feel pain or sensitivity after a dental bridge is fitted, they should recover within a week.

How do I care for my teeth after fitting dental bridges?

Patients should follow a normal dental hygiene routine. Patients should brush and floss their teeth and maintain proper hygiene. Patients should avoid eating or drinking anything that is too hot, cold or too hard, for at least a week after the procedure.

What are the alternatives to fitting dental bridges?

Some alternatives to dental bridges are partial dentures or removable dentures.

The facility was clean, the equipment modern, and the staff very friendly.Donna, US, 08 02 23

We visited DentalEstetic off of a visiting cruise ship. My husband had fallen and chipped his two front teeth! He got two white fillings and we both got our teeth cleaned. A driver picked us up and dropped us back off at the pier. The facility was clean, the equipment modern, and the staff very friendly. In short order, my husband’s teeth were repaired and looked great! I wish that I could add a photo. Cost was VERY affordable and we tipped the driver $10 USD. We would gladly use DentalEstetic again!

I would recommend this office to anyoneKatie, US, 15 06 22

From the first phone call with Luis to the many calls with Danya, this dental office was the best dental experience I have ever had. The dentist who did the root canal and the dentist who fixed my dentures and did a crown everyone was so friendly. I would recommend this office to anyone seeking to have dental work outside of the US. This office was just a short walk from the Marina.

They are also more careful and made me feel comfortable during my whole visitBrianna, US, 10 02 23

I went to Dentoamerica in February 2023, I got composite veneers by Dr. Aline. I had the best experience here, all of the staff was extremely nice, professional, and helpful almost all of them were bilingual (English/Spanish)! They are also more careful and made me feel comfortable during my whole visit, unlike most dentists in the USA. Very good pricing and you can receive an additional discount if you use cash pesos. Definitely will be coming back and I recommend this dentist to anyone looking to get any type of dental work done!

Dental Bridges (3 tooth) $1300 - $1301
We offer various types of bridges, from the basic PFM (porcelain fused to metal) type crown, to the modern, and more esthetic Zirconia bridge which is precision milled. We have more complete pricing on our main website where the different types can be seen.
Porcelain Bridge (3 Tooth) $1300 - $1301
This treatment requires a consultation prior to making a price due to the variances from case to case. Since a bridge can be three teeth, or up to 7 or more, the pricing depends on each case.
PFM Bridge (3 Tooth) $1200 - $1201
Porcelain fused to metal bridges are available. They are a little more economical than a zirconia porcelain bridge. See our main website for more information. The prices here are often auto-calculated to match the currency of your physical location. The prices on our main website are shown in both dollars and pesos and are fixed so you know exactly how much a treatment is.

He made sure I was comfortable and informed with each stepShanna, Canada, 09 04 24

Dr. Alfredo and all the staff at the clinic are amazing, very friendly and helpful. Dr. Alfredo took the time to explain in detail all that needed to be done (broken crown, cracked tooth, small cavity) he made sure I was comfortable and informed with each step. He even sent my X-ray to a specialist to check a spot on my jawbone (that no dentist in Canada has ever mentioned to me). I was very happy and thankful for the very thoughtful and thorough work. I will definitely be recommending Dr. Alfredo and his clinic.
