I did my gastric sleeves and gallbladder removal in APERA Clinic and that was one of my best decisions I made. The hospital is so nice like 5 star hotel, very clean. Customer service is the best. Doctor and nurses checked me every 15-30min. When discharge me they gave me tablets and protein shakes for one month. Very good hospital. I recommend this hospital 1000%.

I had gastric bypass 7 months ago This was a little bit hard but now I am really okey I feel better I had ınsulin resistance but now I have not. I am very happy right now.

I can’t recommend this place enough! From the moment I stepped off the plane I was looked after and made to feel so welcome and safe. The surgeons were absolutely amazing, the nurses were attentive and so caring, I don’t have a bad word to say. If your like me and looking for a safe place outside the u.k to have surgery and change your life this the place to go. I will definitely be going back if I need any body contouring after I lose all this weight!

Great experience.I travelled with a friend who was my companion and her daughter who was also having the surgery. Very well organised from day one. Faith Ozturk guided us through the whole process from the initial contact, all the way to the follow up once home and was on hand 24/7 for any questions or worries. The whole process went very smoothly pick up from airport to hospital for pcr test then back to hotel. In contact the whole time telling us what time we'd be collected for the drive to the hospital in the morning. Once at the hospital it was very well run, the surgeon Dr Bora Koc came to see us and explain the process, he spoke very good English, whilst we had test done and blood taken. Once back from surgery the staff were very attentive and came to take regular observations, making sure we were free from pain and hydrated. I had frequent visits from the English speaking liaison who was there within seconds if a nurse didn't understand a question or answer you had. Dr visited quite a few times over the 3 day I was there keeping a check on recovery. Overall a very good, positive experience and would definitely recommend.

I recently had gastric sleeve surgery at BHT clinic and I had a great experience. From getting picked up from the airport and taken to the hospital, which is like a five star hotel, to the professionalism of the translator, the nurses 24/7 care and the surgeon checking on me every day after the surgery. I really couldn’t fault it. I had my own room with bathroom and I could even take a companion if I wanted to ( they just would have had to pay for their flight). There was food service and they even provided assistance in the airport on my return home. I would definitely recommend it and I am considering it for plastics after I reach my weight goal.

One of the best decisions, if I have ever made in my 30 years of life span, is that almost three months ago, I visited clinic bariatric and did my gastric sleeve. The experience of my surgery was quite good and comfortable. I am more than happy to tell all of you that in just two months I lost 28 kg. The gastric sleeve is the best thing that ever happened to me. Before that, I hesitated about my weight and looks, and now I am living a best and healthy life without any discomfort and hesitation.

I had a gastric sleeve surgery at Arpanu Medical with Dr Ceyhun Aydogan. It was a very difficult experience for me because of personal and family problems that I faced before and during the experience but the staff working with Dr Aydogan and the staff at the hospital were all amazing and very supportive. I did a lot of research before I decided to have my surgery with Dr Aydogan. I first got in touch with his clinic in mid-July 2023 and a month after that and after a lot of research, I made my decision to have the surgery with them. My surgery was planned for October 23 but due to a family emergency only a day before my travel I had to postpone it to an indefinite period. They were very understanding and supportive. After 2 weeks I contacted them again and asked if I could have the surgery in a week. Their schedule was quite full but they managed to fit me in and I was able to travel to Istanbul and have the surgery on Nov 15. During this whole process communication with the clinic was on the highest level. I had so many questions and they answered every single one of them in detail. The most important thing to remember is that every country has a different way of doing things and you should never assume that things are done the same way you are used to in your own country. Never assume anything. Enquire about everything and ask a lot of questions. They will answer in detail. I was not able to take a friend or family member with me and I was worried and scared because I was taking a huge step into the unknown with a support person by my side but everything went smoothly. The day I arrived in Istanbul I was picked up by a very helpful and polite driver. He advised me on shopping centres and restaurants close to the hotel. The hotel was nice. The staff were very polite and helpful. Very early the next morning a driver picked me and another patient from the hotel and took us to the hospital where we had all our tests done. By 9 am test results were ready and they gave me the clear to have the surgery. In the meantime, 4 other patients were having the surgery on that day and each one of us had a translator. My translator, Marcos was very polite. His English was excellent and he patiently translated all my questions and the answers. Even though I didn’t have a friend or a family member with me, Dr Aydogan, the hospital staff, Marcos and even the other translators made me feel at home and as if I had known them for years. The surgery went smoothly. No complications whatsoever. I stayed in the hospital for 2 days altogether and even though I was in a bit of pain everyone was so nice that it made everything better. Just before going back to the hotel, I had a visit by one of the dieticians who explained to me the diet stages I had to follow and informed me about the WhatsApp group for follow-up. My recovery was very quick. I was able to go shopping and do tourist stuff the day after I left the hospital. The only problem with that though was the tempting smells of grilled corn and roasted chestnuts sold everywhere on the streets when I was stuck with consuming just clear broth. Since I’ve returned home the team of dieticians have been diligently i. Touch and support every step of the way. Dieticians Doga and Selvi and Dr Mohammed have been always in touch advising me of my different post-op diet stages and encouraging me with every step. Overall it was a very good experience. The only thing that probably needs to be better is having 24-hour support during the hotel stay post-op. There are nurses available at the hotel but they are only there during the day. I had an allergic reaction late at night and there was no one to advise me what to do. I had never had an allergic reaction in my life before and my whole body was itching and I had hives all over my body and my neck was starting to swell. Luckily I knew exactly what was happening because my son has had similar allergic reactions. I called the hotel receptionist and asked if there were any late-night pharmacies. The receptionist organised a taxi driver to go bring me the antihistamine I wanted. If I hadn’t known what to do they were ready to call an ambulance. The next morning the nurses came to see me and contacted the doctor. And the doctor’s advice gave me an injection just before my flight to ensure my trip back home was without any complications and the allergy didn’t flare up again. I think it’s normal that things like this happen but to make the service better it would be ideal to have a support contact person who is available outside normal working hours.
