I couldn’t recommend Novemed enough! From arriving at the airport to heading back home, everything was perfect. Sema was there for me throughout the entire process of my gastric sleeve, from my tests to the operation. She answered all my questions, translated everything for me, and provided incredible support—I can’t thank her enough. The hospital was very clean, and the nurses were amazing. I never had to ask for pain relief because they were always on top of it. My surgeon, Dr. Necdet Derici, was lovely and came to see me twice after the surgery. The entire experience was completely stress-free, and any questions I had were quickly answered via WhatsApp. I’ve had a few hospital stays in the UK, but my experience at Novemed was far better.

I recently had a septorhinoplasty, organised by the Dr CINIK team, performed by Dr Mehtap. The care immediately after surgery is great, 2 days of round-the-clock care in a clinical setting. I found my translator Manal to be very patient and helpful. Dr Mehtap spoke perfect English too and understood my concerns - I wanted to improve my breathing for sleep. Kubra was one of the many people who looked after me in the hospital and she is now providing me with lots of support via WhatsApp as I heal, she’s been really nice and patient as I ask lots of questions about post-op care. Whilst I am still swollen and can’t see my final appearance, I am pleased to note that I am sleeping better than I have in years due to breathing improvements. I fully recommend the Dr Cinik team.

It has been gradually refined over the past 30 years to produce a reliable,highly effective operation with a low risk of serious side effects. The gastric bypass is regarded as the gold standard because of its consistent and excellent results in achieving sustained weight loss and resolution of diabetes. The typical target is to lose about 70 – 80% of excess weight within two years. Most patients with type 2 diabetes who undergo a gastric bypass can expect to see a remarkable improvement in blood sugar control, often without the need for any regular diabetic medications. These results cannot be underestimated in terms of their transformative effects on patients, not only in terms of reduced illness and comorbidity but also because of the enormously positive impact it has on their physical and psychological well-being.

Gastric sleeve is a simple procedure. We access the abdominal area laparoscopically (keyhole surgery) and remove about 80% of the stomach by cutting it along its length. I had sleep apnea and snoring surgery. I was very impressed with the hospital it’s better than any private hospital I’ve been to in the UK.
