The staff were excellent and extremely helpful and politeVida, UK, 26 11 21

I have never written a review all my life. I have my own reasons though. I could not wait to share my experience with this chemist when I went there yesterday 25th November 2021. The environment was superb. The staff were excellent and extremely helpful and polite. The pharmacist dealt with me. She knows her job really well, was patient and calm and very respectable. I extend my gratitude to her and the entire staff. Keep up with good work. God bless and have a great day.

Rabies Vaccine from US$75
Rabies is a fatal viral disease of the nervous system which can affect all mammals including humans. The disease is usually spread by saliva from the bite, scratch or lick onto broken skin of an infected animal that is carrying the virus. Clinical signs include paralysis and aggression leading to a death. All mammals are susceptible to the virus including skunks, jackals, mongooses, foxes and raccoons, dogs, cats, monkeys and bats. Travellers are advised to avoid contact with animals in infected areas. It is common throughout the world and you should consider it if you are travelling to countries such as Brazil, India or Thailand where street dogs and bats are common. Rabies is pretty much untreatable and once the clinical signs of rabies appear, the disease is nearly always fatal. Vaccination is recommended for all travellers who will be living or travelling in endemic areas and who maybe exposed to Rabies because of their travel activities i.e. trekking, working or living in rural areas. A course of three doses of the Rabies vaccine (Rabipur) is required for protection. The second dose is given seven days after the first. The third dose is given 21 or 28 days after the first. Each dose of the Rabies Vaccine costs £55.

Oral Cholera Vaccine US$75
Oral Cholera: Cholera is an acute diarrhoeal infection caused by the enterotoxin subunit-A of Vibrio cholerae. Cholera is a water-borne infection caught through ingestion of faecally contaminated water or shellfish. Person-to-person spread via the faeco-oral route can also occur. The incubation period is usually 2-5 days. However, it can sometimes be a few hours. 75% of those infected are asymptomatic.[1] Cholera is prevalent in areas with poor sanitation and food and water hygiene and constitutes a major global public health problem. Without treatment, severe infection has a mortality rate of 30-50%. The disease is endemic to parts of Africa, Asia, the Middle East and South America. Large outbreaks are common after natural disasters or in populations displaced by war, where inadequate sewage disposal and contaminated water exist. Certification of vaccination against cholera is no longer a requirement for entry into any country. Food, drink and oral medications must be avoided for one hour before and one hour after vaccination. Effervescent sodium hydrogen carbonate granules are dissolved in water (150 ml for adults, and pour half away for children aged 2-6 years) and mixed with 3 mls of vaccine suspension.[2] The solution must be ingested within two hours of reconstitution. The oral cholera vaccine can be given at the same time as other injected vaccines. Adults and children over 6 years of age - two doses of oral vaccine are given with a 1- to 6-week interval. Children aged 2-6 years - three doses of vaccine are necessary but each dose is given with a similar 1- to 6-week interval. Should more than six weeks elapse between any doses, the primary immunisation course must be restarted. All individuals must complete the immunisation course at least one week prior to potential exposure. Boosters - a single booster to augment immunity is recommended:Adults and children over 6 years of age. A booster can be given two years after the primary co

I couldn’t have been in better handsClarabelle, UK, 11 01 23

I cannot thank Dorset Private GP enough. I couldn’t get an appointment with my own GP for several weeks and I felt I needed to be seen sooner. I couldn’t have been in better hands. I received a same day appointment, the appointment was on time, and the doctor listened. There was no rush throughout the appointment, the doctor asked relevant questions and was thorough, and professional and made referrals for further testing whilst I was with her. I’m glad I saw the doctor today rather than wait for my own GP in several weeks time as I did need further referrals made. The premises were clean and tidy, the reception staff polite and professional. I would highly recommend this private Gp practice without hesitation. I chose a 20 min appointment £89.00. As a new patient I had to fill in an online form and the reason I wanted the appointment. I found it easier to write the whole reason I wanted to see the doctor as this helped them see, in advance, why you want to see them and then on your visit they can concentrate on you, the patient and examine you. Please refer to their website for further appointment times, and what services are available. The bonus is you remain registered with your own NHS doctor, you don’t lose that. Thank you Dorset Private GP you have been amazing and helped me so much.
