I saw the results for their work in just one week, I was completely overwhelmedChristopher, US, 08 02 20

I have only written one or two reviews in my life (one was a negative experience with a kayaking company in South Africa). I am doing this review because I have been totally blown away with an experience at Cancun Dental Specialists just last week. It may sound dumb, but I want as many people to hear about this as possible. I start with an experience three years ago. I went to a dentist in Salt Lake City that specializes in All-on-Four fixed dentures. My teeth were a mess and I wanted to get a professional consultation. The oral surgeon did all the Xray stuff and then sat me down for his expert opinion. Great news, he could help me and recommended a fixed denture, All-on-Four procedure. The cost: $45,000! Needless to say, I quickly lost any interest. Somehow I had heard of dental tourism. My first thought was, "Dental work in Mexico? Really?" I probed deeper into the subject. The more I researched the topic the more I found satisfied patients, excellent reviews and what appeared to be professional clinics in Mexico. Moreover, a spokesperson for the American Dental Association said on NPR that there are many fine dentists in Mexico, but, like anything else, you have to do your homework to get to the right people. I looked at clinics in Tijuana, Algodones, Costa Rica and Cancun. I became very interested in Cancun Dental Specialists for several reasons: The clinic owner did her advanced dental studies in restorative dentistry at the University of Michigan (one of the top three dental schools in the U.S.) I spoke or electronically communicated to several people who had gone there and questioned them about their experience - everyone had good things to say -The dentists have excellent credentials with continuing education in the USA and lots of experience under their belt -They had state of the art equipment, their own lab that worked 24/7 -They are the largest user in all Mexico of Nobel Biocare implant hardware -They all speak good English -Dental coordinators pull it all together, hassle-free -English-speaking drivers to transport you to and from appointments and the airport -The pricing was jaw-dropping low (pun intended) They seemed to have all the right ingredients for me to pull the trigger and let them do my dental work. I called and spoke with a dental coordinator and we set an appointment. And, I had never been to Cancun and had heard nothing but great things about the beaches and the water! Important: After my 3D scan/x-ray, I met with Dr Lugo, the clinic's oral surgeon. He told me I was not a candidate for an All-on-Four procedure. I had excellent roots and strong bone structure. Quite the opposite of the U.S. "professional" three years ago. Instead, they recommended a Full Mouth Restoration. This would mean more work and less money for them than an All-on-Four. I call my trip to Cancun, "The Agony and the Ecstasy." I hate being in any dental chair - USA or Cancun! It is agony. However, when I saw the results for their work in just one week, I was completely overwhelmed. It was pure ecstasy! And the price? 40% of what I would have paid in the United States. Check out the "Before and After" shots. Cancun Dental Specialists is the real deal. I am spreading the word to all my family and friends. Cancun is safe, the work is professional, and, the price tag is lower than whale dung at the bottom of the ocean! (Note: You might see this on other review platforms because I am determined to get the news out to the many people in the United States and Canada that desperately need serious dental work, but cannot afford the astronomical price tag.) Very pleasedDon, Canada, 09 03 14

November 2013 My teeth were in bad shape, some had very old fillings, some were badly worn down, some were missing and some had grown crooked because of the missing teeth. It would have been extremely expensive in Canada to reconstruct my teeth. So when our friend was told by Canadian dentists that all of his teeth would need to be pulled and that he needed dentures, he and his wife searched the internet and they found Dr Marcela. When they returned from their first visit to Dr Marcela and told us that she saved his teeth and installed implants in the voids that were already there we arranged for a visit as well. I had some concerns though, one being my tendency to gag very easily, but Dr Marcela helped me through this issue and I have had minimal trouble since then. I was concerned about the quality of her work but we found that she is very conscientious and meticulous about her work - she treats our teeth like her works of art, showing great pride in her work. I was concerned about the type of work that she was able to perform aside from the usual dental fillings but she prepared teeth for crowns and installed several crown, she installed dental implants, she even trimmed my gums to allow crowns to fit on badly worn teeth. I was concerned about where to stay in Cancun and how to get around. Dr Marcela provides a guest house next to her home at no extra fee. She provides transportation to and from the airport, to and from the clinic, as well as to other places you might desire to go. She takes hosting as seriously as her dental work. Overall, I am very pleased with Dr Marcela and her work, and I would recommend her to anyone who needs dental work.

The prices we paid for our procedures were considerably less then if we had this done in the USCindy, Wisconsin, 16 11 16

My husband and I I went to Dentalia Dental Clinic in Playa Del Carmen to get some dental work done. I got a new upper denture and 13 crowns done, and he had two fillings done and 1 crown done. The staff at Dentalia were top notch, professional and caring from the moment we started corresponding with them. Beatriz was the person we corresponded with and she went over our treatment plans, set all our appointments up and even provide us transportation to and from the Cancun airport. Dr Mario was awesome !! Took the time to explain each procedure in detail, making it a much more pleasant experience then I had anticipated. The prices we paid for our procedures were considerably less then if we had this done in the US. Our experience at Dentalia was great and we would not hesitate to refer them to our friends and family. In fact when we return to Playa Del Carmen in March, my husband is planning to have them do a couple more crowns as well as do some teeth whitening.
