It has proven to be very effective in treating excessive sweating of the underarms, palms and feet. Hyperhidrosis is the medical term given to the condition commonly known as excessivesweating. Hyperhidrosis is caused by the over stimulation of sweat glands by the autonomic nerves. There can be considerable emotional and social stigma attached to the condition, and this can lead to a loss of confidence and self-esteem. Traditional treatments for hyperhidrosis include over-the-counter commercial antiperspirants, oral medications, and surgery. has been shown to be effective in decreasing or eliminating excessive sweating of the armpits, Axillary Hyperhidrosis.  controls hyperhidrosis by blocking the release of acetylcholine, the chemical responsible for stimulating the sweat glands. injections in the underarm usually do not require any local or topical anaesthetic and does not have any significant side effects. The dosage range for the underarms is 50-200 units per armpit. The duration of a "sweat-free interval" with therapy in the underarms may be increased by using higher doses. Studies have shown an absence of sweating for an average of four months with the 50 unit dose, and up to 19 months with the 200 unit dose. It may also be used to treat palmar and plantar hyperhidrosis and usually requires a local anaesthetic block and typically has no significant side effects.

I have been a client for many many years and have availed many of their treatments both in the Edmonton and Regina clinics. Dr. Hatfield has always provided excellent service. He is a warm inviting doctor who tells you like it is! Thus you get the most benefit from your $$$ spent! Presently, I am undergoing Ultherapy treatment (non-invasive lift). And there is some visible improvement, the next few months will tell the story as this treatment takes time to do its thing!
