Making the decision to find a counsellor can be a difficult task, whether it is your first time or you are returning back to counselling. It can be a huge step in itself, as you may be experiencing a number of feelings, such as: what if I look silly, what if my problems seem unimportant or what if I don't know where to start? This is normal; honestly do not let this stop you. Please don't hesitate to call me and ask any questions, and then decide if you would like to come along to a free consultation? It's my belief that we all have our own answers to our difficulties and sometimes all we need is a safe place to explore our concerns. Also there are times when the ones closest to us aren't the best people to discuss our concerns, as our relationships with family and friends can often be the source of our distress. At Building Bridges I provide  a safe caring, non-judgemental and supportive space which allows people to explore issues within their life that are presently causing distress. Therapists use different approaches and interventions to suit the requirements of the client. The goal within the therapeutic relationship is help the client work towards making more positive choices.

Phoenix Counselling & Therapy Service

35 Park Drive Green, Castleknock, Dublin 15, D15CR94
Taking the first step towards emotional well-being can feel daunting, especially when faced with the pain and complexity of trauma or unresolved childhood experiences. As a client-centred therapist with 20 years of experience working with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), I am committed to placing you at the very centre of your healing journey. Your needs, your pace, and your story shape our work together. The client-centred model of therapy means that I am led by you—offering support and understanding as you explore yourself, life transitions, and the challenges that arise from early childhood experiences. I recognise how these experiences can deeply influence how we see ourselves, how we relate to others, and how we move through the world. Sometimes, these patterns lead to mental health difficulties, self-doubt, and emotional distress. Healing begins with awareness. Together, we can gently examine the impact of your past and present experiences, always working at a pace that feels safe and manageable for you. My approach is compassionate and collaborative, aiming to create a supportive environment where you can understand yourself more fully and develop healthier, more fulfilling ways of living. Life’s transitions—such as entering adulthood, experiencing loss, or navigating relationship changes—can cause our emotions to fluctuate and sometimes overwhelm us. If you are considering taking the next step towards understanding your emotional life and fostering self-developm

Scully Counselling & Psychology Online - Psychotherapy Clinic in Ireland

Scully Counselling & Psychology Online

14 Esker Lawns, Lucan, K78A470
Hello, I’m Eimear Scully and I’ve been working as a counsellor and psychotherapist in Dublin and Killdare for almost 20 years. I have a depth of knowledge and experience in many areas including childhood trauma, attachment, co-dependency, adoption, relationships, difficult dynamics within family relationships, workplace issues, stress, anxiety, feelings of hopelessness, depression, existential and transpersonal issues.  As of March 2026 I've moved to working fully online so I can offer my services to a wider community.  I believe that each person is completely unique and will require an individual treatment approach. While I’m trained in person-centred integrative therapy, I also have extensive experience using mindfulness based approaches to build personal awareness and the life skills you will need to effectively deal with whatever arises in your life. I've also recently completed Level Three training in Deep Brain Reorienting (DBR) a trauma based neuroscience backed therapy. This is particularly effective in dealing with childhood and attachment based trauma and PTSD. If you’ve been feeling stuck, confused or alone these feelings are more common than you may realise. It helps to understand, process and reframe the thoughts, feelings and behaviours that have brought you here so please get in touch and together we can discuss what it is you're hoping to achieve from therapy.

Brendan Markey Counselling and Addiction services is a confidential and non judgemental therapeutic support service that offers the conditions our clients need to overcome problems in life that may be causing distress, anxiety, fear or isolation.  Life's journey is often full of challenges and problems and acknowledging the impact these problems are having on us is a vital first step in taking control and changing the areas of our lives we want to.  None of us are alone with our difficulties, these problems are a common experience for many of us and our service creates the awareness that none of us need feel isolated or alone.  The human spirit is a powerful tool and the reality is that regardless of how worn down we may feel, most of the issues we struggle with can be changed. It may be changing how we view ourselves, how we view our situation or by learning how we can make better choices for ourselves.  The potential in all of us for change and for achieving well being is usually far greater and incredibly more powerful than the problem itself.  We are often completely unaware of this fact.We offer the space and help needed to explore the emotional and physical effects of our experiences and use this knowledge to support a journey towards finding practical ways to move through difficult times that will work for you. We are deeply aware that often in life our clients are unable to find a place to speak.  To be honest about how they really feel.  We work in a sensitive way th
