Restore Psychotherapy Counselling - CBT, led by Siobhan Leahy, B.Sc., B.A., M.A, DPS, provides a range of mental health services including psychotherapy, counselling and C.B.T. Siobhan believes that establishing a strong therapeutic relationship is vital for effective treatment. She integrates psycho-dynamic therapy with C.B.T., Resilience Building and Narrative Therapy to support clients in finding solutions to their difficulties. Sessions are available online and are 60 minutes in duration.

My aim is to help you achieve your goals, helping you overcome your limiting beliefs and possible emotional issues that are preventing you from living the life you want, making you also emotionally resilient in the process. This means you will be able to continue your life journey with self-confidence in your abilities to face future challenges. All my work is a conjunction of hypnotherapy and psychotherapy as well as Neuro-Linguistic Programming and counselling. All work is carried out in a relaxed state (a hypnotic trance) which enables real change to take place thanks to work done with your subconscious mind. You will be aware at all time and my work is bound by a strict code of ethics.

Making the decision to find a counsellor can be a difficult task, whether it is your first time or you are returning back to counselling. It can be a huge step in itself, as you may be experiencing a number of feelings, such as: what if I look silly, what if my problems seem unimportant or what if I don't know where to start? It's my belief that we all have our own answers to our difficulties and sometimes all we need is a safe place to explore our concerns. Also there are times when the ones closest to us aren't the best people to discuss our concerns, as our relationships with family and friends can often be the source of our distress. At Building Bridges I provide  a safe caring, non-judgemental and supportive space which allows people to explore issues within their life that are presently causing distress. Therapists use different approaches and interventions to suit the requirements of the client. The goal within the therapeutic relationship is help the client work towards making more positive choices.

I am a practising psychotherapist and hold a Master's of Science in Psychotherapy, from Trinity College Dublin. I work in a one-to -one relationship with adult clients, and my approach is guided by the needs and concerns of each person attending. My areas of expertise include anxiety and depression, bereavement, low self-esteem, eating disorders, obsessional thoughts and behaviour, panic attacks, infertility, sexual abuse, trauma and PTSD, personal and work related challenges and questions of identity and sexuality. I am am a member of APPI, the Association for Psychoanalysis and Psychotherapy in Ireland. I am also a member of the Irish Council of Psychotherapy and am fully accredited and insured.
