At Total Orthotics I assess for, prescribe and fit many types of Orthoses including Insoles, Footwear, Drop Foot Splints, Ankle Bracing and Knee bracing for many injuries and conditions.  I have a keen interest in musculoskeletal injuries and sports biomechanics as well as neurological progressive conditions and acquired neurological injury. Sharon Holroyd qualified in 2006 from the University of Salford with a Bsc (hons) Prosthetics and Orthotics degree and went on to become an Orthotist with specialist interest in biomechanics, musculo-skeletal disorders of the foot and ankle and running related injuries.   MK Orthotics clinic provides the following orthotic services: biomechanicial gait assessment including video analysis, custom made foot orthotics, knee bracing, ankle foot orthoses, and orthopaedic footwear. We can help with the management of many types of foot and ankle pain, including plantar heel pain, forefoot pain, flat feet, ankle instability, foot drop, and leg length differences.  Sharon is also trained in foot mobilisation technique which can help to restore normal motion in the foot and ankle, and Kinesio Taping which can be used as an adjunct or alternative to orthotic therapy.    Sharon is fully registered with the British Association of Prosthetics and Orthotics and the Health Care Professions Council.
