Indian Head Massage up to €45
Indian Head Massage is a highly relaxing massage of the upper back, shoulders, neck, head and face. It is based on the ancient system of medicine known as Ayurveda, which has been practised in India for thousands of years. What does the treatment look like? Traditionally it is performed on the seated person but if you wish the massage can also be given on the treatment couch. The duration is one hour but a shorter version of 45 minutes is also available. What are the benefits? It is a highly relaxing and energising massage which clears your mind, decongests your head and eases muscular tension in the upper back, neck, shoulders and scalp. It improves blood circulation to all these areas including the brain and also stimulates the removal of toxins. The brain receives a rich suppy of oxygen which helps to improve your memory and concentration. In India it is believed that regular Indian Head Massage helps to prevent premature baldness and greying! It is the ideal stress busting treatment for the stressed office worker and student. As a Special Treatment I highly recommed an Indian Head Massage followed by Reflexology. What conditions can it help? Indian Head Massage is very effective for: stress, upper back, neck and shoulder tension, old whiplash injuries, tension headaches, migraines, eye strain, sinus problems, hay fever, insomnia, lack of concentration, mental tiredness, exhaustion,
Thai Massage €85 - €105
Traditional Thai Massage is an ancient healing art which has its roots in the Indian Ayurvedic medicine system. This unique and highly relaxing massage is based on the concept of energy lines (Sen) running through the body and combines elements of acupressure, yoga, reflexology and ayurveda. The working of these Sen lines breaks blockages, stimulates the free flow of energy and helps to restore general well-being. I practise the Northern style of Traditional Thai Massage which is much gentler than the harder Southern or Bangkok style.Traditionally it is a long massage and duration ranges from two to three hours. The massage promotes the free flow of energy, gently stretches and lengthens muscles and slowly opens up tight joints - knees, ankles, wrists and especially hips and shoulders. It also stimulates the functioning of the internal organs, improves blood circulation, detoxifies and balances the hormonal and nervous systems. The massage will leave you feeling highly relaxed, rejuvenated and wonderfully stretched and loosened up.Regular Thai Massage will improve your flexibility and restore your general well-being. During the massage you lie on a mattress wearing loose clothing while I treat your whole body using a flowing sequence of applied pressure to the Sen lines and pressure points, stretches, yoga like postures and massage movements. I give the massage in a meditative mood and work with full awareness, mindfulness and concentration. I am using my bodyweight rather than strength and perform the treatment in rhythm with my breathing - the flowing sequence of movements resembling a "dance" between the giver and the receiver The massage promotes the free flow of energy, gently stretches and lengthens muscles and slowly opens up tight joints - knees, ankles, wrists and especially hips and shoulders. It also stimulates the functioning of the internal organs, improves blood circulation, detoxifies and balances th

Kay McDonnell Holistic Therapies Kerry

Listowel, Listowel, Listowel
If you're looking for ultimate relaxation and a healthier you - you've come to the right place. As a specialised complimentary therapist I, Kay McDonnell, am committed to your comfort and satisfaction. Some believe that medicine has lost its holistic perspective and as a result of which many people now seek help from 'alternative' practitioners who seem able to devote time to their patients and listen to their concerns. Such practitioners also treat the 'whole person' rather than only their symptoms, a feature which seems to be valued by my patients.By giving people a more positive outlook, complementary therapies may possibly ease stress and help the immune system function more effectively.Your choice of therapy may be influenced by a range of factors and is very much a personal choice. First check out what it is you need. Do you want treatment for a specific condition? What do you feel comfortable with? Is what you want available in your area? Can you afford it ? Recommendations from friends or family following their experiences? However word of mouth does not always guarantee that the therapy is right for you. Following a one to one consultation, the therapy best suited to you and your needs will be discussed. Complimentary therapy Massage Therapy and Advanced Reflexology  has been found to improve circulation, joint range-of-motion and flexibility. It can reduce many common ailments such as stress, headaches, stiff neck, back pain, sciatica, reduces blood pressure, muscle

I had a wonderful back shoulder and neck massage with Anna. The following day I felt so light and more energetic. It was good value for money and I felt happy having done it for myself. First impressions were the warm welcome, soft music , and the cleanliness. I would recommend it.

Indian Head Massage €40
Indian Head massage has been practiced inIndia for over a thousand years. It works on areas affected by mental andemotional stress. In Western culture today we spend much of our time in ourheads, so this treatment can really help to calm the mind and is surprisinglydeeply relaxing. Working with a firm and gentle rhythm it helps to relievemuscular discomfort and tension as well as calming the spirit and aidingrelaxation, it also improves circulation in the head, enhances the senses andpromotes clear thinking. The massage usually begins with the upperback, where a combination of deep massage and pressure points help to relax themuscles and to loosen and melt knots. Moving through the shoulders and upperarms further releases the common spots for holding stress and tension, and thenworking deeply into the neck where tension accumulates relieves headaches andimproves cerebral spinal fluid circulation. Moving up to the scalp, techniquesare used that stimulate, relax and revive the whole of the head, increasingcirculation and promoting healthy hair. This therapy can be performed without oilswith the client sitting and fully clothed.
Reflexology
Relexology is an extremely effective formof foot massage based on the principle that reflex points on the hands and feetcorrespond to each organ and are linked to those organs by energy channels, zones or meridians. When illness or imbalance occurs in the body, thecorresponding energy channels become blocked and Reflexology Massage is aimedto remove these blockages, allowing the energy to flow freely again, sorestoring the body’s natural balance, and hence – good health.  Reflexologists  regard the feet as a mirror of the body, withthe right foot representing the right –hand side of the body and the left footthe left – hand side. Illness, or potential illnesses, is indicated by tenderareas on the appropriate reflex points on the feet, reflecting imbalance of theaffected organ and organs.  By applyingreflexology massage to these reflex points, the body can be prompted to maximiseits own great capacity both to heal itself and to prevent illness.
