Excellent massage from a professional and friendly masseuse, obviously trained to a very high level. Room is small but warm, comfortable and quiet so you can easily drift off listening to the relaxing music while the masseuse works her magic. Highly recommended, looking forward to more massages here.

I had the pure pleasure of receiving two distance IET (healing with Angels) healings with Carla. These experiences really enable you to step back from the stresses and confusions of life that we all feel, and even more profoundly so, now. I found myself experiencing a lovely sense of peace and a feeling of being nurtured and cared for. It’s a time when you can give yourself permission to be calm and take time out to feed your soul and inner spirit. Carla is a wonderful and loving human being who cares deeply for her clients. She is a very devoted and conscientious therapist. I have also received Reflexology, Hot stone massage and Reiki from Carla. Pure heaven! And what a relief for tired and sore body and muscles. I always treat myself to one of her beautiful hand-made products, created with all-natural products and essential oils; body scrubs, balms, sleep potions, etc. Just bliss! Whether it's a seaweed-based cream or a tofu-rich diet, the beauty secrets of the Far East have long held appeal for Western women. But it's only recently that their key anti-aging weapon has entered the spotlight.  Facial massage - a series of hand manipulation techniques that relax muscles and increase circulation - has its roots in traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) and has been practised for more than 1,000 years to maintain health and beauty.  The theory in TCM is that your facial appearance is  a reflection of your body's internal condition, for instance, a kidney deficiency can show up as deep, dark circles under your eyes. While massage alone won't treat internal/systemic health problems, when done regularly it can help relax the face and alleviate dullness, sagging and even frown lines.

Deep Tissue Massage targets the deep tissue structure of the fascia and muscles, referred to as connective tissue. Of the many types of massage, deep tissue focuses on the release of muscle tension and chronic knots. Deep tissue massage can break up and eliminate scar tissue from previous injuries. A common problem is that stressed muscles can block nutrients and oxygen from getting to where they need to go, and this will cause inflammation that allows toxins to build up in your muscle tissue.  The inflammation and toxins contribute to pain and stress. Deep Tissue Massage breaks up and releases the built-up toxins by loosening the muscles. With the toxins released, blood and oxygen can circulate as they should through one’s body. Being properly hydrated before you go to your massage appointment and drinking plenty of water after one of these massages is highly recommended. The strokes used in deep tissue massage are similar to those used in a Swedish Massage except more pressure is used and it uses cross grain strokes (strokes that go across the gain of the muscles instead of with the grain). As with a classic Swedish massage, you will be lying on a massage table and covered with a sheet or towel. A good way to recover from a Deep Tissue Massage is by soaking in a warm bath with Epsom salt. This soaking is recommended because it will help get more of the toxins out of your body (Epsom salt draws the toxins out into the water). Your muscles need some rest after one of these massages, even if you feel no soreness. So do not plan any activities within a day of a Deep Tissue Massage. Some people think that if you just push hard enough, a knot could be worked out in one session, but this is not the case. For built-up tension and chronic knots (adhesions) deep tissue massage is just one part of the treatment.

I go to Iwona to get a full body massage. I have a problem with my neck and shoulder. So I decided I would get reflexology this time from her. She explains the treatment in relation to reflexology, but also works in a holistic way to provide an enjoyable /relaxing /healing experience. She is very passionate about what she can offer her clients. I wasn't sleeping great and I had a great sleep after my treatment. I am looking forward to my next treatment. I have no hesitation in recommending Iwona to others who are open to find ways of helping improve their health and wellbeing. Thank you Iwona, it is a lovely experience that I will always look forward to.

I recently had a gastric bypass and lost 8 stone I was very lucky to find this site just by searching online. I have to say I had lost a huge amount of muscles with the weight loss and decided to treat myself and see how my body was doing. I was unbelievably happy with the care and treatment I got from well experience masseuse and the feedback she gave me around my muscle loss and the encouragement going forward. I definitely will be going back for more, one of the best massage I ever had. Not only did she help my body to recover, she also made me stop and think about how in the name of god I got this far without probably looking after my self, mind, body and soul. It was as if she stopped the madness and gave me back the gift of life so if you don't mind, I have to give credit where credit is due. I've been to many places all my life looking for quick fixes for my mental health and a lot of things did suppress my inner demons. I do believe everything happens for reasons and how I got a particular date, time or place with the odds stacked against me, I can't explain but so powerful. She made me look into my inner self that day and I will be grateful for that the rest of my life. Miracles do happen if you let them. It's a package, if the brain is not right- the body suffers and if the body's not right the brain suffers. Thanks.

The massage therapist gets deep into your muscles, breaking down adhesions in the muscle, applying pressure across the grain, even breaking up scar tissue. Sometimes you can be quite sore after a sports massage, as opposed to the feeling of elation you might feel after a nice, relaxing massage, but it’s worth it. Talk to your massage therapist, they may recommend icing to help with post-massage pain.
