Hi, my name is Rosaleen Dunphy and I am a fully insured self employed Complementary Therapist. I hold Diplomas in ITEC Holistic Massage, Sports Massage, Reflexology, Nutrition, Aromatherapy, Stone Therapy, On-site Massage and I also hold a Diploma in Tuina from Tuina Ireland. In addition to this I hold a City & Guilds Advanced Diploma in Teaching and an ITEC Diploma for Lecturers and I am Reiki Level 3 certified. I believe that Complementary Therapies are not meant to replace conventional medicine but rather work hand in hand to help speed up our natural healing abilities in our bodies. The Client is of upmost importance to me and I incorporate different variations of the range of Therapies that I have studied into my Treatment and I believe that this sets me apart from other Therapists. Whether it is an Aromatherapy Massage that you are looking for, I can tailor it to suit your needs by making a blend individual to your requirements and incorporating different techniques that I have learned e.g. using Tuina to clear Meridian or Energy lines in the body that maybe holding Stress. I often ask (with the Client’s permission) Archangel Raphael and Archangel Michael to participate in the Treatment as well, as they are the Angels of Healing and Protection. I am a Tutor with the Galligan Beauty Group in Grafton St and some of the courses that I have taught include the ITEC Diploma in Reflexology and Anatomy & Physiology. Tui Na
Tui Na is a form of Chinese manipulative therapy often used in conjunction with acupuncture, moxibustion, fire cupping, Chinese herbalism, tai chi, and qigong.Tui na is a hands-on body treatment that uses Chinese taoist and martial arts principles in an effort to bring the eight principles of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) into balance. The practitioner may brush, knead, roll/press, and rub the areas between each of the joints, known as the eight gates, to attempt to open the bodys defensive (wei) chi and get the energy moving in the meridians and the muscles. The practitioner can then use range of motion, traction, and massage, with the stimulation of acupressure points. These techniques are claimed to aid in the treatment of both acute and chronic musculoskeletal conditions, as well as many non-musculoskeletal conditions.

Tui Na from €60
What is Tui Na? Tui Na (pronounced "Twee-Na") is a type of therapeutic massage.  It's history is thousands of years old and it has developed into a highly successful and modern system of medicine.   It is one of the pillars of Traditional Chinese Medicine and is often used in combination with other branches of Chinese medicine like acupuncture or Chinese herbal medicine.   That said, Tui Na can excel as a therapy in it's own right.  It is used in all the major hospitals in China where it is so effective that it is classed as a distinct medical system in it's own right. WHAT CAN TUI NA TREAT? Tui Na can be used in a variety of situations, anything from a general massage to treatment for sports injuries.  It is particularly useful in treating pain conditions... •Neck pain and Frozen Shoulder                     •Headache   •Low energy / Poor circulation   •Digestive Disorders  •Back pain / Sciatica     •Rheumatism / Arthritis       •Joint pain / Limited Movement   •Ankle or Wrist pain  •Sports injuries   •Stress / Anxiety  •Insomnia  •Gynaecological Problems

Deep Tissue Massage from €60
Deep Tissue Massage targets the deep tissue structure of the fascia and muscles, referred to as connective tissue. Of the many types of massage, deep tissue focuses on the release of muscle tension and chronic knots. Deep tissue massage can break up and eliminate scar tissue from previous injuries. A common problem is that stressed muscles can block nutrients and oxygen from getting to where they need to go, and this will cause inflammation that allows toxins to build up in your muscle tissue.  The inflammation and toxins contribute to pain and stress. Deep Tissue Massage breaks up and releases the built-up toxins by loosening the muscles. With the toxins released, blood and oxygen can circulate as they should through one’s body. Being properly hydrated before you go to your massage appointment and drinking plenty of water after one of these massages is highly recommended. The strokes used in deep tissue massage are similar to those used in a Swedish Massage except more pressure is used and it uses cross grain strokes (strokes that go across the gain of the muscles instead of with the grain). As with a classic Swedish massage, you will be lying on a massage table and covered with a sheet or towel. A good way to recover from a Deep Tissue Massage is by soaking in a warm bath with Epsom salt. This soaking is recommended because it will help get more of the toxins out of your body (Epsom salt draws the toxins out into the water). Your muscles need some rest after one of these massages, even if you feel no soreness. So do not plan any activities within a day of a Deep Tissue Massage. Some people think that if you just push hard enough, a knot could be worked out in one session, but this is not the case. For built-up tension and chronic knots (adhesions) deep tissue massage is just one part of the treatment.

Rating from 6 Reviews Felt relaxed and well after my treatment.Guida, Dublin, 29 Jul 15

I suffered from depression for many years. He was approachable, explained everything that I asked, and the session was very straight forward. I felt relaxed and well afterward, and It has had a great impact on my life. I find Mr. Anders a very good professional, helpful, easy going, and most of everything, human and honest. I attended at Mr. Anders house. I was apprehensive, but afterward I thought it was as good as. The space is nice and relaxing, and I was back for a next session which felt as good. I will be back to tackle my next rock.

Deep Tissue Massage from €60
Deep tissue massage is effective because of its technique - consisting of slower, stronger massage that stimulates deep into muscles. It aims to release the chronic patterns of tension in the body through slow strokes and deep finger pressure on the contracted areas, either following or going across the fibers of the muscles, tendons and fascia. In many cases, a deep tissue massage has replaced the classic Swedish massage in terms of frequency of use. Whereas visitors to any spa around the country may have traditionally sought out a massage that simply relaxed, now they are seeking a massage that also stimulates, conditions, and heals.
