At Embody Health we assist women on their journey towards wholeness and wellness through the mediums of shiatsu, massage & movement, so that you can experience more joy and vitality in your life. Shiatsu is an energy based form of massage that takes place with the receiver fully clothed. It is a gentle and effective treatment that incorporates finger pressure, palming, gentle stretching and mobilization of the joints. It's like acupuncture but without the needles, using meridians and acu-points to bring about relief from a vast range of conditions. It is especially good for pain relief & stress relief, pregnancy, labour & post-partum, chronic conditions such as cancer, M.S, M.E, fibromyalgia, tension, headaches, insomnia, depression, anxiety & trauma as well as digestive complaints but the list really goes on... At Embody Health we also offer holistic & deep tissue massage. Our deep tissue massage has an emphasis on slow deep pressure which is particularly effective, as it gives the body time to integrate the changes to the the tissues & allows the receiver to stay present in the treatment. We also offer regular body awareness & energy medicine classes and workshops, that incorporate meditation & visualisation techniques as well as art & writing to integrate learning.

Reflexology is a fantastic treatment to help alleviate stress and a other conditions.  Maternity, Fertility and Cancer Care Reflexology a speciality. Mobile treatments available on request. Baby Reflex courses also available. During Baby Reflex, parents, guardians or any care giver are taught how to give reflexology to their own baby to help relieve symptoms such as colic, asthma, digestive and sleep problems. Hopi Ear Candling offered as a stand alone or as part of the Reflexology Treatment.  Ear Candling is also relaxing and excellent for clients with sinus conditions and frequent headaches.

Gillian continually updates her skills by regularly undergoing further professional courses. Gillian is also a founding member of the Zita West Affiliated network. Gillian's interest in Chinese Medicine and Philosophy began in the late 90s through the practice of Qi gong and Tai chi. In 2004 she commenced her training in traditional Chinese Medicine with the Acupuncture foundation of Ireland. Here she studied under Professor Jin Huide and Dr Wu Jidong, from the University of Traditional Chinese medicine, Nanjing.  In 2007, Gillian travelled to China to complete further training in Acupuncture at the Nanjing University of Traditional Chinese Medicine.
