Shiatsu is an energy based form of massage that takes place with the receiver fully clothed. It is a gentle and effective treatment that incorporates finger pressure, palming, gentle stretching and mobilization of the joints. It's like acupuncture but without the needles, using meridians and acu-points to bring about relief from a vast range of conditions. It is especially good for pain relief & stress relief, pregnancy, labour & post-partum, chronic conditions such as cancer, M.S, M.E, fibromyalgia, tension, headaches, insomnia, depression, anxiety & trauma as well as digestive complaints but the list really goes on... At Embody Health we also offer holistic & deep tissue massage. Our deep tissue massage has an emphasis on slow deep pressure which is particularly effective, as it gives the body time to integrate the changes to the the tissues & allows the receiver to stay present in the treatment. We also offer regular body awareness & energy medicine classes and workshops, that incorporate meditation & visualisation techniques as well as art & writing to integrate learning.

Hi, my name is Rosaleen Dunphy and I am a fully insured self employed Complementary Therapist. I hold Diplomas in ITEC Holistic Massage, Sports Massage, Reflexology, Nutrition, Aromatherapy, Stone Therapy, On-site Massage and I also hold a Diploma in Tuina from Tuina Ireland. In addition to this I hold a City & Guilds Advanced Diploma in Teaching and an ITEC Diploma for Lecturers and I am Reiki Level 3 certified. I believe that Complementary Therapies are not meant to replace conventional medicine but rather work hand in hand to help speed up our natural healing abilities in our bodies. The Client is of upmost importance to me and I incorporate different variations of the range of Therapies that I have studied into my Treatment and I believe that this sets me apart from other Therapists.
