The Wisdom for Health, Acupuncture and Massage clinic gave me perfect treatment following my Back Pain Treatment appointment with them. I was very happy with the price I was charged as well as I felt it was fair and reasonable. The clinic was great. They gave me really good back pain treatment during my appointment, they are in an area I am familiar with so it was no trouble finding them and they charge fairly so it was great.

Acupressure is a good alternative for anyone suffering from a phobia of needles as it follows the same principle as acupuncture. It works by stimulating the same acupuncture points on the surface of the body but instead of using needles, the practitioner will apply pressure with the hands. Acupressure is an effective method of improving blood circulation and repairing tissue damage throughout the body. Via nerve stimulation acupressure can induce relaxation and improve skin tone, ease tension in muscles and joints, repair facial lymph damage and generally tone the body. For this reason it is often used as a facial beauty therapy. Acupressure has also seen considerable success in curing insomnia, lessening fatigue and dispelling back and joint pain.

Perrine de Montard Acupuncture

47 Daletree Avenue, Ballycullen, Dublin 24, 24
Rating from 5 Reviews She took a very thorough and in depth historyKaren, Ireland, 11 Mar 16

I have attended Perrine's Accupuncture clinic a number of times. I have a mild skin complaint- eczema and I was also receiving treatment for a painful wrist- which was the result of an old injury. I have had a number of treatments with Perrine. I found Perrine to be very friendly and calm in her approach as I was nervous prior to the first treatment- fear of needles. She took a very thorough and in depth history - and explained what was going to happen. She was very professional at all times. The treatment room was very clean and relaxing and I did not feel the time passing. I had relief from my symptoms and these continue to improve with each treatment. I would definately recommend Perrine and her clinic to family and friends and intend to coninue seeing her.

Explained everything she was doing as she wentRowena, Ireland, 01 Mar 16

I had a wonderful treatment with Perrine, starting with the consultation, I found her very thorough and knowledgeable. I was nervous about the needles at first but was put at ease quickly and found the experience very relaxing. I not once felt like I was just another patient, Perrine made me feel she had all the time in the world to care for me. She was extremely attentive, checking that all needles were still doing their work. She also explained everything she was doing as she went, which I found was very interesting! Most importantly, I had a massive improvement of my ailments after the first treatment! I have recommended to friends and highly recommend Perrine for any ailments you might have! Overall a very clean, relaxing, professional environment. Good location too with plenty of parking. Again, I highly recommend Perrine and her practices.

Physiotherapist / Physical Therapist Consultation I've had the most positive physiotherapy experience with Kathy. She spent a lot of time with me and gave me a lot of relief. I get muscular and nerve pain and was treated with muscle tissue release work and some spinal and pelvic manipulations. I've been to a lot of different places and this has definitely given me the best results.

Acupuncture was very good for valueAna, Ireland, 15 Sep 16

I had 6 sessions of Acupuncture around August and October last year for fertility, after struggling to get pregnant naturally over 2 years. I can happily say that I got pregnant last December around Christmas and today is my due day. Although all my test came good, doctors only offered to put me on hormone treatment for 3 to 6 moths "to maximise my chances". It didn't sound right to me. Why a healthy person has to be on treatment? It just doesn't make sense in my head. I am a very healthy person with a very healthy life style so I was determined to try EVERYTHING but not hormonal treatments. I did tones of reading and research day and night about natural therapies, foods for fertility, magnesium supplementation, daily hour walks, yoga, temperature charting, ovulation time -crucial - read the book 'Taking charge of your fertility', castor oil packs, Preseed and of course Acupuncture (the needles on the lower abdomen I believe really help to keep things moving -totally convinced-) All of the above combined together help me to get here and graciously wait for my little angel to arrive. i will go for Acupuncture again to induce labor if nothing happens between today and the next 10 days and will use Moxa sticks if the baby turns breech at some point. Acupuncture was very good for value. I contacted Wholistic Wellness and start the sessions straight the way. Janette was fantastic, very approachable and very professional. The premises are very clean and tidy and the rooms are very cozy (soft music, nice scent, very relaxing, etc). I truly believe the Acupuncture played a major role in helping me to get pregnant - i have no a doubt! The treatment lasts an hour with 30 minutes of needles on and another 30 of whole body massage from head to toe. Absolutely super relaxing!! I wanted to stay longer. I even did a cupping session. I could feel the heat running my whole body like if it was really making my energy flow. I most definitely recommend to try acupuncture for any woman struggling with fertility (nothing to loose, a lot to win). Don't be afraid of the needles as they are really thin and very soft, basically, unnoticeable: you have to focus your thinking on the benefit you can get and not the discomfort they may cause you. Janette was very gentle with the needles and with the massage.

I was feeling very low, physical and emotionally. I start my treatments with Maria 2 months ago. I felt progressively better after each weekly treatment of herbal massage, designed to remove built-up toxins. Each treatment it was truly amazing and Maria is the most professional therapist that I ever met. My first relief of symptoms was an increase in energy that was noticeable after the second treatment. Big improvement as well in my mood and level of stress. Just will say highly recommended. Thank you very much.

I had treatment for Carpal Tunnel on my left hand on three occassions and Niall was very professional and friendly at the same time which relaxed me straight away. The treatment was with electrodes emmiting a pulse through the needles and into my hand and immediately I could feel relief from the numbing pain in my hand. I will continue to have treatment to try and avoid surgery which I have had on my right hand.

Deirdre Casey Holistic Therapist

Rating from 3 Reviews Excellent from start to finishMairin, Dublin, 25 Jun 13

I went to Deidre to get some relief for my upper back and shoulders, which were horribly strained from sitting at a computer desk all day. She was excellent from start to finish. She began by asking me what the problem and she understood the type of treatment I needed. My back pain was alleviated greatly and I felt so much lighter and de-stressed after the treatment with the knots in my upper back totally de-knotted. I have been back many times since, sometimes for sports massages to deal with strain from workouts and other times for a nice relaxation treatment. I would highly recommend Deirdre; she has a high level of therapeutic expertise and great knowledge of the best treatment to suit your situation as well as a great manner.

Good at relieving the pain and stressJane, Ireland, 03 Jul 13

Dan-tien Complementary Health Studio

(01) 901 0176 ext: 28144 30-31 Bride Street, Christchurch, Dublin 8
Rating from 8 Reviews The results were almost immediateCindy, Ireland, 12 May 12

I've been a professional dancer/choreographer for 20+ years and in my time, have had more than my share of physical pain due to injuries and stress related to my profession (muscle strain, sciatica, sprains, etc). During the course of my career, I've consulted a huge variety of health practitioners (both conventional and complimentary) but most of the treatments have worked only for the short, not long term. Before going to Dan Tien and being treated with abdominal acupuncture, I'd tried acupuncture before yet am a little afraid of needles so my fear naturally got in the way of any successful treatment! To be honest, I'd never heard of abdominal acupuncture before but was willing to try it in order to heal my long term, chronic back pain due to an old injury. The results were almost immediate and with a few treatments, I was finally free of the pain that had plagued me for many years! The abdominal acupuncture was gentle and painless in comparison to other acupuncture techniques I've tried. This, along with Dave's skilled and genial manner put me at ease and made the treatment a relaxing and calm experience. I've since been back to Dan Tien several times for other injuries, illnesses and general health maintenance. Whenever I walk into the clinic, I'm confident that I'll be looked after by a proficient and caring health practitioner. Thanks Dave!
