Egg donation is the term used when one woman donates her eggs, for medical research, or to be implanted in another woman as part of an assisted reproduction procedure. The Dorset Fertility service does not offer egg donation however we have regularly helped in the monitoring of egg recipients, ensuring that their womb lining (endometrium) is of an appropriate thickness for that part of the treatment cycle. There is a wealth of experience at Dorset Fertility and therefore most units are happy for their egg recipients to have some scans there to avoid the necessity of a long journey to the treating centre for monitoring. Decisions regarding timing and change of medication will always rest with the treating centre. Usually the scans can only be done on a private basis for a modest fee.

She is a true asset to the clinic. Thank you Hana x The clinic is perfect I felt I was being cared for throughout my donor embryo transfer. Unfortunately, my transfer failed on this occasion. Hana was In contact with me to tell me what to do, and what to expect, even though it was Christmas and New Year she was quick to answer my messages. I cannot thank Dr Massaad enough for taking me on as an IVF patient after I had spent the first 9 days with a different doctor with who I wasn't comfortable. He took his time to explain everything and did many ultrasounds over a week to see the progress of the follicles - he is clearly a specialist in the IVF field. He's also extremely kind and generous. Although I wasn't successful this time around, I will definitely go back to Lebanon and to Dr Massaad if I do another round of IVF. Obviously, I highly recommend him. All of the ladies I dealt with in the office were also extremely kind and welcoming; it was nice to walk into the clinic each morning and see so many friendly faces.
