Insemination is a method of infertility treatment where semen is injected into the uterus during the release of the egg. Insemination is often combined with a mild hormonal therapy, to mature 1-2- to eggs in the ovaries.Insemination can be done if the fallopian tubes are open and the semen is of good quality. In order to determine the ability of sperm to fertilize an egg is recommended to perform a sperm function test. Before the insemination, the semen is washed to selectively collect the most motile and normal structured spermatozoids.
