The staff was attentive friendly and welcomingLeana, Norway, 27 01 25

I had my trifocal lens replacement surgery on Saturday under general anaesthesia (my choice) with Dr. Selim Guldiken. No pain, no discomfort. It was blurry at first, but I’ve experienced daily improvement. I had a check-up today, and everything is clear. My vision has already improved—I can see clearly in the distance, and my close vision is so much better. It’s only day two, and I’m over the moon. Goodbye, glasses, forever! The world is full of bright colours once again! The service I received was second to none. The staff was attentive, friendly, and welcoming. Hakan, the polite interpreter/assistant, answered all my questions—even late at night—and put me at ease. If you’re having any doubts, don’t! Just go ahead and book your surgery. You have nothing to lose but your glasses.

Everything was better than I expectedPavel, UK, 22 07 25

Very good experience. Despite my needle phobia. Everything was better than I expected. But what I appreciated the most was the no-nonsense communication. All questions answered promptly and without unnecessary diversion. The ultimate proof of my trust is convincing my wife to have the same operation as soon as her schedule allows it.

Squint Reduction $1745 - $3490
Strabismus Surgery Strabismus surgery is a safe and effective treatment to correct misalignment of the eyes, commonly referred to as crossed eyes. The surgery involves adjusting the muscles attached to the eye to improve alignment and coordination, ultimately enhancing visual function and cosmetic appearance. This procedure is typically performed on an outpatient basis, allowing patients to return home the same day. Procedure Steps: Preparation: Your eyes will be numbed using anesthetic eye drops, and general anesthesia or sedation is administered to ensure comfort during the procedure. Incision: The surgeon makes a small incision in the conjunctiva to access the underlying eye muscles. Muscle Adjustment: Eye muscles are carefully repositioned, tightened, or loosened to correct the alignment. Closure: The incision in the conjunctiva is closed with small absorbable sutures. Completion: A protective dressing or eye shield may be applied to the eye. Recovery: Patients typically experience mild discomfort, redness, or irritation for a few days post-surgery. Healing occurs over several weeks, with improved alignment noticeable shortly after surgery. Prescribed eye drops help manage inflammation and reduce the risk of infection. Benefits: Strabismus surgery significantly improves eye alignment, enhances depth perception, improves binocular vision, and positively impacts self-esteem and appearance. Risks: Although highly successful, potential complications include under-correction or over-correction of eye alignment, infection, scarring, or double vision. These complications are uncommon and typically manageable with appropriate follow-up care.
Cataract Surgery $814 - $3490
Cataract surgery is a safe and effective treatment to restore clear vision for those affected by cataracts. The surgery involves removing the cloudy lens from the eye and replacing it with a clear, artificial lens called an intraocular lens (IOL). This procedure is typically performed on an outpatient basis, which means you can go home the same day. Procedure Steps: Preparation: Your eye will be numbed with drops, and you may be given medication to help you relax.Incision: The surgeon makes a small incision in the eye to access the lens.Lens Removal: Using a technique called phacoemulsification, the cloudy lens is broken up with ultrasound waves and then gently suctioned out.IOL Implantation: A foldable IOL is inserted through the incision and positioned into the lens capsule of your eye.Completion: The incision is usually self-sealing and does not require stitches.Recovery: Most people notice an improvement in their vision soon after surgery, though complete healing and vision stabilization can take a few weeks. You will need to use prescribed eye drops to help prevent infection and inflammation during this period. Benefits: Cataract surgery not only improves visual clarity but also enhances the quality of life by restoring your ability to perform daily activities with better vision. Risks: While cataract surgery is highly successful, as with any surgery, there are potential risks, such as infection, bleeding, or changes in eye pressure, which are rare and typically manageable.
Corneal Transplant $4072 - $6980
A corneal transplant, also known as keratoplasty, is a surgical procedure used to replace a damaged or diseased cornea with healthy donor tissue. This surgery is typically recommended when vision cannot be corrected satisfactorily with glasses or contact lenses and is impaired by corneal conditions such as scarring or keratoconus. Procedure Steps: Preparation: The eye is numbed with local anesthesia, and you may receive medication to help you relax.Removal: The damaged portion of the cornea is carefully removed.Transplant: A clear, healthy donor cornea is then placed in the opening.Securing: The new cornea is secured with very fine stitches.Recovery: Recovery involves several follow-up visits to monitor healing, and it may take several months for vision to stabilize. You'll use eye drops to help prevent infection and rejection of the donor cornea. Benefits: Corneal transplant can significantly improve vision, decrease pain, and improve the appearance of a damaged or diseased cornea. Risks: Risks include rejection of the donor cornea, infection, and complications from surgery, though these are manageable with prompt medical attention.

Overall the doctor was very professionalLara, Netherlands, 09 02 24

I came from Finland for surgery with the doctor. As the surgery would be 1/5 of the price of what I would have to pay in in my own home country. I visited the doctor and he examined me and took the time to do all the proper tests to see if I needed the surgery or not. Turns out I had been misdiagnosed and there was no need for the surgery after all!! Though I did not need surgery, I can 100% recommend the doctor since he could have very easily said oh yeah sure let's do it, and just take my money! Overall the doctor was very professional and I could see that he had a lot of expertise and accumulated knowledge and it felt I could trust him. More than that the doctor’s assistant is amazing, speaks very good English, and provided clear and informed communication along the process. Very thankful for their efforts.

From start to finish, the entire experience exceeded our expectationsAntony, Germany, 19 06 25

My wife and I recently traveled from the United Kingdom to Turkey specifically for eye lens replacement surgery at Orbit Tip Merkezi, and we are so glad we made that decision. From start to finish, the entire experience exceeded our expectations. Dr. Sitki Eren is a highly skilled and experienced surgeon whose professionalism and calm, reassuring approach gave us complete confidence throughout the process. The surgery itself went smoothly, and the results have been truly life-changing for both of us. We are delighted with the improvement in our vision. A special mention must go to Burak, our consultant, who was absolutely outstanding. From our very first enquiry, Burak was always available to answer every question we had—no matter how many times we asked or how small the detail. His extensive knowledge, kind and patient nature, and genuine care made the whole journey so much easier for us. Traveling abroad for medical treatment can be daunting, but Burak was there for us every step of the way, making the entire experience smooth and stress-free. He is a true credit to Orbit Tip Merkezi, and we are extremely grateful for everything he did. If you are considering eye surgery, we would 100% recommend Orbit Tip Merkezi. With world-class surgeons like Dr. Sitki Eren and exceptional patient care from consultants like Burak, you’ll be in the very best hands.
